Sorry but I respectfully disagree with you. I am a parent and work with children too. The way those children were laughing at her shows a massive gap in how that parent has actually done parenting in terms of kindness and respect for other human beings, especially ones who are disabled and have facial differences. Carly sounds like she was very polite and calm in the circumstances and, frankly, she shouldn't have to put up with it. If it were me, if I were that parent, yes of course it would be a hard pill to swallow and I'd be mortified but I'd take it as a lesson, it's something i didn't get right as a parent and I'd learn how to do better. She's not taking on children as you say. She's taking on parents and, as parents, it's up to us to show our children what to do in these situations.
