I was an ASMR early adopter about six years ago

Tbh I love head massage stuff but not much else. Was seriously creeped out when I realised the genre has branched out into sex/fetish-y stuff which is really creepy. The eating sounds ones are really gross as well

Okay I think that’s a really good point: “it’s just that you have to be good now, instead of randomly rattling fake nails against your eyeglasses case while chewing gum.” The standard for good ASMR has raised and some people understand it, how to trigger it, and a lot of people don’t and think it’s about just the sounds or what so many others are doing who also probably don’t get it. And a lot of those people don’t understand why their views dropped and have decided they need to sexualize their content to get their views back. And then they just become this sexual novelty to a bunch of creeps instead of delivering actual ASMR. That’s one thing I have to hand to Valeriya ASMR. She’s always been sexual but her ASMR skills were also always strong. But the rest of these girls just seem to only know how to simulate BJ’s on a mic and it’s killing the credibility of all ASMR.

it's so sad, I think this is partially the influence of only fans, so many women just see this as what they need to do

My god. Who cares if it’s similar? She takes clear inspiration from other ASMRtists.

Wouldn’t think she has a young daughter and a son not much younger than that 15 year old.

So. she's illegally exposed a minor to adult fans - this is sick, coming from a woman that genuinely believes she cares for others. Should be ashamed of herself.

To add to that, what the hell is she doing that is different from most other ASMR/role play channels to be able to call someone out for plagiarism? They're all pretty damn similar to me.

That's him! That's the guy, Batman! He's shelled out THOUSANDS on items for all sorts of UK-based ASMRtists (maybe others). I don't know if he's rich or has a fetish, or is rich and has a fetish or what, but I really don't think it's just 'kindness'... he should dump some money into WhispersRed's animal shelter.

Charlette (WhisperAudios) also re-stocked her Throne with some even more expensive items including a five-thousand dollar vacation package. I don't know what to think anymore. Bath bombs, cosmetics, snacks and clothing don't bug me, but asking strangers to send you off on holiday... At least the laptop is work-related I guess.

I'm not sure if I know what you mean by the tongue clicking (though I'm sure I'd recognise it if I heard it because I watch way more ASMR than I should!) but something I've noticed becoming really popular is 'TikTok ASMR' for lack of a better term. Usually really fast paced with aggressive tapping on things accompanied by what I can only describe as a stage whisper. It's so chaotic, unrelaxing and untingly, and it's everywhere.

This! I suppose it's a trend now and many artists are getting popular from tiktok and bringing this style to YouTube. It is not relaxing to me in anyway and it being all over now makes it hard for me to find new creators. Some long time asmrtists have even transitioned to this style.

Due to this plus tongue clicking I've actually found myself going back to the og asmrtists who never changed their style like whispers red. Starling ASMR also has a make up channel that's been my go to recently

Does anyone else like asmr be brave be you used to like her roleplays but recently find her odd to watch on her instagram shes gone on a whole rant about her neighbours dogs and told her neighbours life story saying her dogs are so anoyying and her neighbour has no control over them and why dont she tell them to shut up how her neighbour has her mum living there and that the mum has a summer house and its werid how the mum lives with her daughter like is there any need really? She seems like a major hypochondriac seems to have every health problem going not dismissing her health but seems like everything wrong with someone she seems to have she just comes across as not a very nice person more you look into her she also seems to have had quite a lot of drama for someone with not a huge subscriber count compared to other artist anyone else have their thoughts on her?

Will Heather Feather ever stop scamming her fans on Patreon? I'm truly disgusted by her behavior. She hides behind some vague notion of difficulty in her life and everyone grasps at excuses for why she continues to take fans' money every month without doing anything for years. No update on her Patreon, no nothing. There's even the option of changing a Patreon to creation-only instead of monthly but that would be too transparent and ethical I guess. She apparently told a viewer once that "life moved on" but she doesn't have the basic decency to let her patrons know so they continue to hope that she'll come back. Gross.

Oh, they expect something alright. They think they can strategically give money when the content is a little bit sultry to convince the girl to go further, sort of Pavlov's dog type conditioning. On the other hand, these gals are using sultry looks to convince men to part with their money, so it's a bit of a merry-go-round of manipulation.

I’ve seen her do this multiple times now on twitter with comparing herself to ASMRtists and how none of them work as hard as she does or have it mean as much to them as it does to her. Constant drama it seems with her especially with starling and others she believes wronged her. Makes me wonder almost about what actually happened with her and starling or her and crinkleluvin. It feels like for her, being seen as the best and growing her audience is more important now than her actual ASMR work or her viewers. I unsubber as soon as she started that ‘helloooooooo lovelies….’ because I know she won’t accept any feedback.

I'm so glad ppl are seeing this, found this forum after she bashed a subscriber for suggesting her hair was over bleached and needed to see if others noticed. Be Brave Be You used to be one of my favorite asmrtists and her sometimes odd facial expressions and how she talked was even comforting. I followed her on her socials and it completely ruined her for me. I had to unsubscribe.

When the Crinkleluvin drama happened I felt so bad for her (and was also shocked to hear she had an OF) and really felt for her. Over time the claims of what Crinkleluvin did kept getting worse and worse and she kept adding more and more. At the time I had no reason to doubt it? But she seemed to love the attention...

Fast forward a while and she got into it with ASMR Starling about copying and out of curiosity I took a look and..... not saying she did 100% but it looked REALLY similar and I did see where Starling was coming from. Again Be Brave kept adding to the story and all of a sudden Starling did more and more to her... except their DMs were posted for all to see and it showed that she was lying? From then on I've noticed a pattern of lying to commentors and her victimizing herself with constant issues and bullies or commentors.

Of course shamefully I can't stop watching but I needed to let that out

Julia making a big thing in her stories about forcing herself to eat salmon for protein, almost pulled a muscle rolling my eyes so hard. She lives in LA where plant based protein options are readily available and she clearly has the means to do that, and I feel like it would be way more in line with her supposed ethos. But I'm starting to think her whole shtick of like "I hate fossil fuels but ride dirt bikes and disrupt nature for fun/I'm an environmentalist but I eat a fuck ton of dairy and fish" is just an extension of her pick me girl vibe. Sorry for the rant, I just really can't stand that she constantly preaches about the environment and animal welfare when she clearly doesn't care about either of those things enough to align her behaviour with her words, when it would be incredibly easy for her to do so.

Interesting that the woman who claims to have suffered with her mental health for many years, uses mental health as derogatory form of criticism. People like her are everything that is wrong with social media and part of the problem surrounding mental health being seen as a negative or taboo. She has NO qualifications to say that, she has openly said was a bar tender, stripper and a pole dancer . Those of use who are QUALIFIED health care professionals train for years. Julia is desparate to remain relevant, since stopping the ASMR, she appears to have lost followers. She likes to portray herself as a healthy, eco lover who lives a modest lifestyle, the reality is both her and her partner OWN multiple properties, she uses dirt bikes and vehicles that contribute to pollution. She is out of touch with reality thinking her followers have as much disposable cash as her.

exactly, it is SO offensive, and she is 100% the type of influencer who will deflect any criticism with the "be kind" thing and talking about her own mental health.
I cannot work out why she stopped ASMR, it was so popular, how many people want to see her opening packages and chopping up fruit?

Ive noticed that Itsblitzzz has started posting ASMR content again on YT. I do enjoy her ASMR,its the only content of hers I can actually watch,I have no interest in her vlogs because I find her quite a hypocrite. But of course shes back with the ADs,something she claimed she didnt like doing
