I just watched the podcast, so upsetting to see how broken they both are but I found it quite unsettling that there wasn’t a single touch between them. Unless they are naturally not very affectionate I thought that it was strange not even to see a reassuring hand hold or anything

Isn’t posting all over social media exactly what they have done? Yes it’s raised awareness of childhood cancer, but maybe that’s what the mother was trying to do also.

Everyone saying they can grieve how they please, but then slagging off the grandmother who will be grieving also, not to mention she seems to have lost her daughter now too...

No one knows why there has been a fall out and she’s probably just upset now she’s been completely pushed away from her daughter at a time they should all be rallying round each other.

I’m not fully up to date with the grandmother story but if she’d been accused of stealing donations what was she supposed to do with them? If she threw them away it would be ungrateful. Yes she probably shouldn’t have accepted them in the first place but everyone else had pages for a child they’d never even met so maybe just got caught up in it all.

Ashley seems hell bent on it being about him and everyone else is a background piece to what he’s doing
It wasn't her place. It is the parents' place and theirs only.
she wasn't accused of stealing, she was accumulating a load of old tat which as well intentioned by people as it was, was also thoughtless and in some instances, arrogant. What does a dying child in the late stages of cancer want drawings and presents for? And why should the parents spend hours sorting through it all and finding storage for it all, taking precious time away from their girl? The woman piled heaps of bin bags on their doorstep to make a point and they were too good hearted and appreciative of people's good intentions to outright say: please stop sending us this extra stress!

So you wouldn’t feel guilty that you were getting Botox in a different city and had left your already sick daughter (not knowing it was cancer at this point) but still she was sick and 8 weeks old
Where did it say they were getting Botox I missed this

I think it would be helpful to remember we only know snippets and what they (collectively) want us to know, we don’t know the full story on any of it truly so we can’t really completely judge any of them, most of it is speculation.

The parents didn’t seem to have a problem with random strangers plastering pictures of their sick baby all over the internet, but had a problem with the mother doing it?

There is more to this fall out than the mother setting up a group let’s be honest. They are still liking random pages with pictures on without issue.

It’s a bit of a double standard to say to let them grieve how they please but then dictate how the grandmother grieves is all I’m saying.

They either don't have the energy to play whackamole with all these dozens of weirdo accounts popping up OR appreciate and love any mention of their daughter's name and picture as grieving parents. Who knows and who cares?
and no it isn't a double standard and no one knows the mother better than them as they are the ones involved, not us. To outsiders the mother's behaviour is abhorrent, I can only imagine the pain of actually being related to her and on the receiving end of her stunts at this terrible time.

Not sure if I’ve missed something but how do you know they were having Botox?!

When Andrea was vilified by Ash Saf and joe public her sister went on a rant saying they lied about taking Azaylia to hospital and it was Andrea who noticed she was ill whilst they were getting Botox Andrea did comment saying she didn’t want to speak bad of Saf and the comment about Botox was removed but it seemed very much so true.

Again people are mad at Andrea saying Saf and Ash didn’t want to be sorting through lots of Tat when their daughter was dying totally agree with that if they didn’t mind sorting out lots of tat what people had gifted them and not Andrea

I don’t think we can guess the reason for the fall out I’m sure there’s a lot to it that we don’t know

I agree with others so sad how Ash is so cold to Saff and seems to be making the foundation all about him even now! It would be nice to see more about the kids they’re going to help, what they plan to do I know Saff said ‘magic moments’ for the kids and families

instead it seems like Ash has set up this bike ride as a personal appearance tour like come see me at the car park last night for example, all the filming seems to be just of him, at least Saff could be involved to stand next to him and have an arm round her - she is A’s mother after all!

I really hope it’s true what Saff says that they do spend quality time off camera, but given we see so much of everything else they do, I’m not hopeful

It is a double standard.
Fine for strangers to set up a page for the baby but not fine for her mother
Fine for strangers to send THEM gifts for the baby but not through the mother.

we can agree to disagree.
Could her mother of handled it better, probably. Does it make her an awful person, only they know what’s gone on.

Notice Ashley has finally managed to include Saf this morning and put his arm around her.

how on earth could they begin to dictate which strangers should or shouldn't close their support accounts down? Sadly they realise that if you share so publicly there will always be weirdos pop up. They should have been able to count on their own family ie. mother to be respectful though!

They could quite easily have put a message out saying they appreciate it but would rather people didn’t post pictures of their child or got one of the brothers or a friend to report the weirdo accounts that popped up. and also that if they wanted to donate they would prefer toys to be sent to children’s hospitals. They could have also raised awareness without constantly posting videos of their seriously ill child.

people making fan pages of other people’s children is plain weird, it’s the same with family vloggers. Where in normal life is it okay to have albums and albums of other people’s kids

As I said we’ll agree to disagree I just don’t think it’s fair to start a witch hunt against the mother when no one knows the facts

Just want to add my two pence here... they put a statement in the group which had ties to her mother and i think they asked for the group to be closed down? so why couldn't they post an update to their pages asking for these groups and fan pages (as awful as that sounds those are the type off accounts) to be stopped and taken down?

cos they can't control what strangers do or cos they brought mass awareness and a source of support most probably.

But it was strangers that were buying the gifts? I understand that they can't control what people do but i personally feel they could have put a statement on their pages thanking the public for their support and asking for any pages and groups to close, it just seems very undignified that people are willing to set up pages etc and sell merchandise in that little girls name and memory. As a parent i would not be okay with that.

It’s when people started all the weird stuff like #our Azalyia “ like she was their own, then the tattoos & then Competing against each other to turn buildings etc orange it ended up being who could do the most, then when people started messaging Ashley’s and Safiyas relatives asking about the gifts etc it was horrendous as that turned into who got the most replies that whole group was a bloody circus it made a mockery of the whole situation, it wasn’t about poor Azalyia it was money making and clout chasing

There was keyrings, photos, stickers, hair ribbons, candles , don’t get me started on the photo edits they were awful. How can people even think about making money out of such a horrific time & they still do it now.

agree and what about all the other beautiful innocent babies dying from cancer 💔 there’s no support for them at all unless your a z lister with a big following then they don’t matter which must have been awful for the children suffering at the same time as Azaylia they all deserve recognition

I had to leave the group. I commented once and people literally attacked me. Visited my profile and got really personal. Shocking behaviour from supposedly caring people.

People are vile when they are behind a computer screen… look at the himch lot. Its like a cult.

slightly off topic, i was on insta last night & seen a picture one of the Azaylia pages posted - that ashley follows. I cant find the pic now, but its where ash is kissing simba the teddy. They edited out the bear and edited azaylia in. Weirded me right out. Especially as the picture was of azaylia quite poorly. What is with the thousands of accounts all dedicated to a baby they never met?! All with thousands of followers. Its so cult-like.

edit: found it.

I left the group when someone said Old Trafford should be burned down because the team wouldn’t wear an orange armband for a game.
Now, can you imagine the thousands of requests they get week in week out.
I responded to the comment saying how amazing the Manchester United foundation are and the things they did for a terminally ill relative of mine (behind the scenes, not wearing a coloured armband) and my comment wasn’t taken well. There were some very unhinged people on that group.
