lol what I don’t understand is they’ve raised all this money and people at the beginning of this thread said just wait until the foundation is launched before making judgment! Ok the foundation is launched we are non the wiser where all this money has gone! There was a child needing 200k for her treatment shouldn’t she have got 200k from the foundation ?

I said this and still stand by it, the foundation is brand new, they have the whole financial year to disperse of the current funds so until end of March. They might have launched but IMO all they’ve done is come up with the brand and the first PR angle and fundraiser, ie the bike ride. Guaranteed they haven’t yet decided and worked on the detail of how families will apply for funding, minimum, maximum amounts, qualifying criteria etc. They can’t just dish out 200k to someone, there has to be some due diligence. Maybe someone is working on it in the background but I doubt we will see the funds allocated in large sums till later in the year

I don’t get people obsession with getting validation from random people on Instagram (because that’s really all they are). It’s like one of the girls on Saf’s live yesterday came in and said I just wanted you to know my sister will do your lashes tonight. This is after she had already introduced herself as living in Buckinghamshire (a 7hour drive away). Saf said ahh thanks but I’m in Edinburgh and this girl was like yep not a problem, once my sister knows it’s for you she’ll definitely do them. She kept trying to find a solution and a way to get her sister to do them and Saf looked so awkward and in the end said but I’m meeting Ashley in a couple hours so need them done and finished before then, you see??!! Honestly people are insane.
However, I might now check this girl out. Knowing she’s willing to travel that far, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind getting to me at a mere 1-2hr drive away

I just think that until the spectacle of the bike ride is done, they aren’t going to announce anything else just yet. Maybe we’ll see them donate to that little girl next week who knows. Or maybe on the last day of the cycle It just feels like at the moment it’s all about ash completing this challenge and nothing else. Sad as that may be

Honestly, it's getting a bit culty. The video of Ash descending into the sea accompanied by that pipe music, his messiah complex speech, the people desperate to see them both or to visit baby A's grave like it's some sort of tourist destination, the fan pages and strange montage pictures... I have family in Nuneaton and saw a woman in orange Azaylia tees outside Asda. I mean they could be a relative but even that would be a bit strange! What's the end destination for all of this? The charity could be great but I'd be worried about the people that have latched on to Azaylia and her memory. I saw a bit of Saff's live yesterday and that poor woman needs a cuddle and a rest. The whole situation is so sad and I can't see any of this ending well for Ash and Saff.

I think it's probably best to reserve judgement on how fund will be allocated until the full website is launched - which I assume will have more details about what the foundation will do and how it will operate.

As someone up thread mentioned they will need to establish criteria for awarding funding/set maximum grant amount etc etc if it's going to be sustainable long term. Sadly, GoFundMe money won't stretch that far.

I am a bit surprised by the big fundraising event *before* the aims of the organisation have been set out and it's clear what activities they'll do to meet their aims. I don't doubt they'll end up doing good with the money, but people donating don't really know how their donation will be spent or if it will be used effectively.

I really hope they're looking to collaborate with other orgs in the sector and get some good advice - running an org like that is hard and charity Governance can be complicated! Ash strikes me as the type to want to do it all on his own and claim work as 'his' though so we'll see....

Agree with what everyone's been saying about how lonely Saf seems and how she doesn't seem to be allowed to grieve in a way that she needs to (lots of pressure to be strong/exercise). It makes me really uncomfortable.

Ashley looks exhausted and like his ages so much from all of this his body is being pushed to the extreme and his mind too,they haven’t sought professional help which I think they both need before they break down,it would be good for them to maybe set up some form of grief counselling through the foundation as well like a support system so it would be good for them to show that getting help is okay,as the way Ashley deals with it and speaks about how his feeling it’s like getting professional help is weak and it’s about feeling physically pain because Azaylia did but that’s really not gunna help him deal with the things in head if he doesn’t deal with them or at least give himself time to grieve
If that way does help him then fair enough but he should let Saf deal with it how she needs to she needs to figure out how she can heal in her own way be it professional help or medication ect and not make her feel less as she isn’t getting help how he does through exercise

the Hollie girl posted a pic of him talking about pain in his eyes and she weren’t wrong. He looks exhausted, more so than the others because he’s carrying that stress as a bereaved father. Too much of anything is bad and that goes for excercise too.

I genuinely think Safiyya is such a sweet, vulnerable soul who has little to no support. The only person who has been solid for her is her brother who, like I mentioned before, has his old life, so he cannot run to her aid all the time even though he may want to. The begging for services from her and the odd desire to want to be in the spotlight is something I think she's always wanted, but she just doesn't need that lifestyle right now. It doesn't suit her and she's not mentally strong enough. She just needs to take some time out and focus on herself. Ashley on the other hand.... I sympathise with him so much but I'm sorry, he's really milking this and using Azaylia's tragic death to boost his profile. He's always wanted a piece of this life and be admired by people, hence the meet ups, the cringe insta posts. He doesn't give a crap about Saf, it's all about him. I cannot stand the guy. Never have really. I hope Safiyya opens her eyes, gets the help she needs, dumps that selfish wick and moves on. Also, I hope she reconciles with her mother. At the end of the day, I'm sure her Mum will have her back quicker than Ashley Gandhi Cain.
