She uses so much tuning and filter in her pics and reels. Someone else’s pic here for comparison. Like it’s ok, you’ve got cancer, you can look a bit rough for duck’s sake. Instead she pops a whole Disney Princess face-tune on herself. I don’t think it’s actually very responsible if she’s properly going for the cancer influencer thing to pretend she looks luminous and bright eyed all the time whilst having chemo.

I've had to stop watching her. Personally my 'journey' wasn't great and still isn't and I feel she's rubbing my nose in the fact that she looks so great.
There's cameras and crew documenting her which is fair enough but her constant toothy grin isn't for me.
I hope people are taking comfort from her and she's raising awareness

I think shes being very premature regarding “ringing the bell“ - unless shes had extensive full body scanning done, she doesnt know that shes ”cancer free“ and actually if shes in a position to, she would be better having a full body PET scan done this side of xmas to check that she is infact clear of cancer and theres not anything lurking.
I had to step back too. My dad has in the last few weeks been diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive non-hodgkins lyphoma. Everything is a bit too up in the air without her gurning at me.I've had to stop watching her. So much talk of ringing the bell (there will be a reel made for this I’m sure) and says sgd cannot wait to have her port out.

Exactly. She has that very naive approach where she’s decided that shes all better now. shes miles away from that. She’s got a good 6 months to a year of recovery infront of her and there will be side effects and changes to her body that will probably never go back to how she was before plus 5 years of hormone therapy that itself is going to duck her body up…
At the hospital I had my chemo they don’t do the ringing the bell thing. Because of the reasons you’ve all stated. You don’t know you’re cancer free at this stage and for some people that never happens. You also get people like Amy who go all over the top.I had my treatment at a specialised oncology unit that has an excellent reputation. They didn’t stop treatment through the whole of the pandemic
If you "genuinely can't cope" it might be better not to look then.
Amy is just very irritating and shes just so FAKE. Everything about her is just insincere and its all a performance. Major cringe.
I get not everyone likes her and yes she can be irritating at times but the poster I quoted said she "literally can't cope" with her bell ringing posts.
I just think if her posts are affecting you that much it might be better not to go and look

My point is once again her posts are misleading. She makes it sound like one day you’ve got cancer the next day you ring the bell and you’re cured. I get it’s her journey and all that but for most people it is more nuanced. I apologise if people were upset by my relating my experience but I thought it was relevant
I think the big deal over the bell ringing is definitely for docu footage.

It’s a win win filming it. It’s great footage whatever happens, if she ends up needing more treatment after all it becomes really poignant, but if she is actually cancer free (and at this point she presumably doesn’t know) it’s a great positive wrapped up in a bow finish.
I assumed the comment was referring to the billion reposts from Amy of all her friends' end of chemo well-wishers. Not here. I hope I'm right.
