Omg heyyyyy metalhead Tattlers 👀 had no idea there was a thread for this!

What’s everyone listening to at the moment? I need some new bands to listen to, I’m so stuck in my ways 😅 open to any suggestions as I like most things!

I'm on a Blind Guardian/Beast In Black (contemplating buying tickets for them and for Lordi too) binge rn 😄 Only thing that's somewhat different atm with my listening taste

I had no idea we have a heavy metal thread, hello my people!
Favourite bands are Inflames, Epica, Nightwish, Soilwork and Rammstein, but there's just so much good stuff.

(Didn't like the new Nightwish album, a rant for another day 😂 ) Haven't been to a concert in ages as my short a never sees anything anyway and I don't like the feeling of not knowing what is going on, but every year I'm itching to buy tickets, but then chicken out again.

Not a new band, but one I'd recommend to any metal heads is Die So Fluid. I think they're on Spotify, but if not definitely YouTube.

Marissa and the Moths are my favourite new find!

Also currently loving Tesseract and Bad Omens

I'm a folk/melodeath/symphonic/power/sometimes black metal girly but like a lot of metalheads I pretty much dip my toes into all genres, Finnish metal has been my thing since I was 16 😄 And I'm so grateful to actually see bands that I still enjoy live, even a meet and greet in October last year with one of my first discoveries when I started really getting into metal 🥹

I also got into goth/industrial shortly before that listening to the likes of Lords of Acid, KMFDM, Emilie Autumn, Tim Skold, Angelspit, Mindless Self Indulgence and Rammstein... mind you this was almost a decade before TikTok literally made this part of music mainstream

@Codiaeum I'm NGL I think Floor sounds her strongest in Yesterwynde, Anette is probably my favourite out of all the vocalists

oohhh Emilie Autumn, haven't listened to her music in ages, I fangirled a little bit (ok, a lot) over the Laced/Unlaced and Opheliac albums in school. Actually saw her live in...2008? Maybe 2007, I can't remember exactly. Tbh, vocally it was one of the weakest shows I have seen but it was a show.

I love Floor and her voice, but the songs themselves on Yesterwynde just didn't hit it for me, the album felt badly mixed, but that's really just my personal perception of it. I dig Anette's albums and enjoy Floor's live versions of them just as much/even more.
Allllso - Finnish metal, hell yeah! I think we might have pretty similar taste overall, I also dip my toes into pretty much all genres, it all depends on my mood and how much of a binge I'm on with a particular band at the moment.

I first knew of her through Stardoll because there was a dress-up doll made of her 😭 I think I would've been 9/10 at the time. I was probably too young when she last performed live IDK I feel like she dropped the face of the earth around the 2010s, I should probably do my own research on this one

Yeah I'm NGL I couldn't listen to Yesterwynde into its entirety from start to finish, I'm aware that they're always progressing but I don't think it's for me... I'm a basic witch when I say I smash the MF replay once I find a song from Once, Imaginaerum or Dark Passion Play when it appears on my mix on Spotify
Before I really got into metal I used to listen to Judas Priest quite a bit out of all the other oldie metal bands but I didn't have family members who were into metal growing up (was exposed through Beavis and Butthead when I was a child thanks to my dad who was a fan back in the day) so a lot of it is all my doing 🙈

I've been to Finland three times and they were all influenced (particularly the last one which was a solo trip) by the metal scene from there having a special place possibly about the size of a sOWna in my heart. Maybe one day I will make it to Tuska for the gram 🤭🤪

I am such an oldie metal fan 😆 I love Megadeth, Pantera, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath. I’m 33 with the music taste of someone’s dad 🤣

I need to branch out a little bit more instead of listening to songs from 30/40 years ago all the time haha. Thank you for your recommendations I’ll be checking them out later! I like Spiritbox currently as a favourite new find.

Seeing Emilie Autumn mentioned on Tattle feels wild 😂 I loved her back in my misunderstood teenager days

I'm very late to the party, but loving Parkway Drive at the moment, not super super heavy but just fun and easy to listen to.

Ha, I was meaning to post this too! I would love to go but I’ve seen the ticket prices today, disgusting money.

"In an updated to fans in the presale waiting room, Ticketmaster said: "Tickets have been priced in advance by the tour ranging from £197.50 to £834 (including fees) with a per order handling fee of £2.75.

"Please note that this does not include VIP package prices, and tickets are subject to availability."

Christ, I can't imagine it'll be the best show either, Ozzy's in very poor health, how much will they be charging for VIP? I'll stick to seeing tribute acts, much more my budget....

It’s disgusting, I really do feel that fans are being badly taken advantage of with ticket and merch prices these days. Unfortunately it won’t stop until people stop paying these prices.

We’re going to see Zakk Wylde do Black Sabbath songs in a few weeks, that’ll do me!

I was thinking about trying to make it work if tickets were about £120, but nearly £200 for crappy seats is too much, especially after figuring in travel and hotel stay too. I'm sure it will sell out though.

Me and my OH were talking about this when it was announced.
Yeah there's a huge number of amazing artists taking part, but really, it's just going to be sad to see. Ozzy can't walk now.
We've seen Black Sabbath a couple of times, and Ozzy on his own, I think its going to be too upsetting to see him again.

Plus the ticket prices are ridiculous.
