Finally got around to booking a flight to London for Dethklok next month 🤪 Finding a decently priced hotel (at this stage even I'd do with a hostel) is another story in itself
My boyfriend is going to that!

Maybe have a look at hotels just outside of London if you don’t mind a short journey back, it might save you a bit of money

I found out pretty cheap near the venue, I think it came to about €400 including breakfast for 2 nights... they're very peak-season prices but I'm glad I didn't have to pay thousands for accommodation!

*I found a hotel, sorry I LOVED Metalocalypse when I was like 13/14 and watched the whole series very frequently until I was like 20? Hence why I was typing quickly as I was booking the flight and hotel on the sly in work

I took time off work for it and yes it's petty but I lowkey don't care, the show was like my gateway into introducing my tastes in metal... Finntroll's being a prime example 🤣

I have tickets for me and my partner for the cardiff metallica gig, I wanted to see Pantera but he didnt want to do london and hes the driver so! Plan is mother in law stay at outs that night with the kids and we go their and back (bout 1hr30 drive) I managed middle section (I did panic buy upper level and checked again a few hours later and middle had 2 tickets come back up so I grabbed those! Was about £150 a ticket which is reasonable to me.

My bank account when I contemplate the idea of going to Finland (or even London) to see another metal concert over there: 🤭🤭🤭

Annoyed at Slayer in Cardiff tomorrow being £100 a ticket originally, now they're giving away tickets for £20 because they're not selling 😒

This is probably the metal equivalent to when Taylor Swift was playing in Ireland in 2018 and they could not sell the tickets AT ALL hence why there were so many giveaways at the time plus a majority of people I knew who went to see her got them for free, myself and my Mam included because her friend had spare tickets and we ended up going with her and her kids 😭

Yeah that’s ducked me off too, I paid £107 for Finsbury Park and saw they were now half price. Just goes to show how ripped off we are if they can sell them for half price and still make a profit 😡

Manifested for a concert ticket during my trip to Finland and I finally got the bleeping ticket 😭 I'm going to have the most cooked and unhinged day when I'm going to a live interview for one metal band (where my understanding of the asdfghjkl skibidi toilet language that is Finnish will be put to the test) then getting the metro back for one concert and legging it for another one

A stroke of luck for anyone who went to see NIN in Dublin because apparently in the shows in the UK they didn't even play Closer or March Of The Pigs

I went to both London and Manchester and we got March of the pigs at both and Closer in London.

At least their metro is easy to navigate... congratulations on the ticket. I bloody love Finland so I'm jealous!

HSL is *chef's kiss* even if the Finns do complain about it sometimes, it could be worse... it could be Dublin Bus or Bus Eireann... or even worse, the Luas
😂 HSL and also StockholmTunnelbana is better than some places hotels!
Although, tbh, on trips to the UK I've also never had a problem with anything and was quite impressed with the trains between London and Cambridge.
