Omg, wtf is this? If it was out of character you’d be scared or trying to calm him, having words. She sits there and laughs? I’ve not watched the speech, but saw a clip of Denzel Washington and his face spoke volumes. Also Chris looked to the side to see if anything was going to be done. He must have had an ear piece in too to hear from production.

Anyone remember Jada’s role in Scream 2? The whiny girlfriend who just non stop bitches at her boyfriend while queuing to get a ticket and popcorn to watch Stab 2? I’ve always, always, thought that is what she’s like in real life, I hated that character way back then! That’s been 25 years or so. When ever I re-watch it I enjoy her being finished in that movie within the first ten mins! She is a drain on anything she appears in. I really do not like her, I just always get this bad, joyless vibe from her as soon as she appears on screen. I really dislike their son to. I remember seeing him on Graham Norton with Will and at the end they did the Fresh Prince shit and Jaden was just so desperate to get on his Dads coat tails. Sickening!

I’ve just read some of the stuff directed at Zoe Kravitz. WTAF?! ‘Light skinned bitch’ was one comment that stood out. Do they think because she’s mixed race she should automatically stick up for WS or does that mean she shouldn’t have an opinion on issues involving black people?

Yet again he's in control by controlling the narrative.

I keep saying this to my husband, there were multiple cameras (we have seen the shocked reaction faces of fellow nominees/winners). So where is the footage of the joke settling with him, seeing Jada’s reaction and storming the stage?!
Seems weird to me that we weren’t shown him standing up etc.

I guess Rock has to weigh up the economic side of things, he was most likely reeling from the incident and as he appeared to have no support he may not have felt pressing charges was the right way to proceed. But if I was him I'd be angry at his employers failure to protect him, if I was assaulted at work and it was preventable I'd certainly be asking a lot of questions.

Some background on Chris Rock. This is a brilliant little vid and I think tells us exactly how Chris is going to deal with Will. Let karma do what it does, or kiss him! I don't think we have nearly heard the last of all this tbh but I suspect some of the truth can't be spoken of until older players in the game, are no longer in the game.

I assumed when I first saw photos it that it was a planned stunt, but after seeing the video and the fucking rant it clearly isn't.

A perfect example to highlight their privilege and how out of touch they are. If any of us mere plebs slapped a work colleague or stand up comedian we'd get a criminal record and face penalties. We wouldn't get an applause and get to party away showing off and saying how much love we have.

These two are vile toxic narcissists from very fucked up backgrounds. They’re basically a couple of low life con artists, who’d do anything to get to the top and stay there. And their red table talk will probably be in four parts, then they’ll have one with the whole family talking about it, to milk it even more.

THANK YOU! This is what I find so shocking, reading people applauding his behaviour for honour of his poor damsel of a woman, it’s utterly repugnant! Women aren’t weak mild scared frightened little fragile beings hoping a brute will come and protect them, this thinking is ARCHAIC! I can’t believe it! He has set so many things back YEARS!!!!

He didn’t have to get up and smack him, he could have just shouted something out like he did ‘leave my wife’s name out of your mouth’ that would have made the point clear without violence and swearing.

This. Violence is never "proof of love". That idea is dangerous and has fuelled and excused all kinds of violence including domestic, for some time. He is well able to use his words, he can be so elequent normally. So disappointing to see. I do feel for Jada and hard it must be to have alopecia and be the bud of a joke like that it was not nice. But I wouldn't have supported my husband for behaving the way he did ... It was worrying. They seem to be brushing over it and making jokes already online which is baffling

The only thing I feel pity is that although he's finally got his Oscar (and his sycophantic crowd will adore him,) it's now a tarnished Oscar win, will anyone look at it and think "congratulations"? No they'll think of what he did to Chris Rock.

His reflective statement is hours (of partying) too late.

Reading some of the reviews of his book on GoodReads. It's been eye opening for me, based on what others are saying he put in the book. It seems Will definitely has always had a dark side. And apparently does things to make him feel like a hero/ a good guy but it's not genuine. I do see how his childhood trauma might contribute to his actions too though.
Apparently he treated all his girlfriends (including Jada) badly. And I have a feeling he puts up with her because of some guilt or something he's done done her in the past. He admitted to burning all his existing clothes when he was angry with her. There were so many other crazy stories and reviews but here's just a few I screenshotted. But he seems to have these outbursts. I just think this time it was public. I really hate the current narrative of blaming Jada BTW. Can we stop always blaming women for men's actions?
