Sky news was going on about "why are you using an old man for your gain? Dressing him up in medals. The veteran doesn't even understand. Why are you torturing him. He'll have a heart attack. He shouldn't be used like this!" I thought thank fuck they're finally asking Hannah the right questions! But it's about the Russian opposition leader navalny 🤣🤦

I believe he caught pneumonia by his immune system struggling to deal with such huge swings in the weather going from here to there and back here. I have no doubt if he hadn't gone abroad he would still be alive and well today. Cliff and Russ were not the only two he met. He met Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan who play Cricket for England......

Along with those two he got to meet (also with no social distancing) a lot of the great West Indies players from the 1970s.....

Doesn't seem like the relaxing vacation / bucket list that the family are painting. More like he was being shown off like a prop, carted from one meeting to another. How exhausting for him 😓

I think the birthday card thing illustrates their delusions of grandeur.

They are convinced he is an important historical figure and he isn’t. He did a nice thing during a horrible time and for that he should be commended but ffs that’s enough now. The gin, books and armchair 🥴 are beyond tacky and the cards mean little to the wider public. They’re a personal thing so if they want to keep them then they bloody well should pay to store them. Her tone when she mentioned they were paying “out of their own money” seemed to imply she thought it should be funded.
I've said here before I bet they genuinely thought they'd get on the same level as The Anne Frank Foundation or something. And I don't think he ever had a worldwide impact, not even European. When you look back it all got really tacky really quickly.

So a man who has *checks notes* been dead for 11 of the passed 12 months somehow managed to have the biggest impact on the world in 2021. Dear lord above give me strength

Have I Got News for You tonight - in the opening Alexander Armstrong asking the audience if they liked his new suit as he'd bought it with the proceeds of Captain Tom's latest book 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm so glad I've got tattle to say something, as I dare not say anything in some of my chat groups 😶

I don't care if it's on a bucket list, get a tablet and go on a fucking virtual tour. The more people that flout the rules and go on jollyes the more people's lives that will be ruined.

Came here to say that Captain Tom is trending on Twitter due to the accounts posted on Twitter!

" The Captain Tom Moore Foundation has paid £55,725 to companies run by Tom Moore's daughter or to her directly, £27,205 of which were "consultancy costs" That's more than a third more than it paid out to each charitable cause it supports..."

This was my favourite though:

I feel sad that he has died, and as I said before, it didn’t have to end like this.

I am confused with the flag at half mast. How about the other 104k people that have died from this? Doesn’t sit well with me.

Already seeing a few comments on Twitter that he should have a state funeral.
unfortunately a state funeral flies in the face of every man woman and child in the UK who have taken each lockdown seriously, stayed at home, and foregone holidays in order to keep the elderly in society safe.

So my son’s English for school yesterday was to write an imaginary interview with captain Tom. He’s 8 and we haven’t discussed my views on the matter.

1) Was it safe for you to go on a plane as you were so old?
2) Why can’t I go on a plane and see my Granny?

😂

When Hannah's father, Sir Captain Tom Moore was alive, there was nothing he loved more than going to Toni and Guy to have his patriotic hair styled by the "style director". Indeed when he was doing his walk against covid, his 1st thought was I do hope our Han and her shitter toryboy son get to go to fucking hairdresser charity event. Captain Tom hoped that Hx could pick up new grifting tips,

I saw this little snippet in the Guardian's article and talk about blowing your own trumpet!
It's pretty disappointing it took them all so long to cotton on. The whole of Hannah's site was like a parody of the worst apprentice contestant ever. It was so blatant the whole time.

Her arrogance was off the scale and all the over the top gushing made her feel invincible.

Loving BBC reporting outside their 'private gated house'....🤣
Places like the BBC share the blame with their lack of due diligence. Just like they do with jack monroe and let her spout off pure fantasy as if it's factual.

This thread makes me believe humanity does exist and that I'm not alone. I'm not a troll for pointing out captain Tom and his family are selfish sods.

I've not mixed, I didn't see anyone at Christmas, I could not see my granny who passed away 2 weeks ago and we have made the decision as a family that only my mum and dad will attend her funeral.
These are the sacrifices you make in a pandemic to ensure others don't suffer. My mentality is that I'm infected so I could spread the virus and potentially cripple the NHS and kill people.

Throughout the pandemic I have been so depressed about the lack of humanity people have. People justifying mixing, going on holiday ,getting their hair done in lock down. It makes me sad to realise that most people are selfish and feel entitled. It's the fact people can seemingly justify anything to suit their needs and don't care about others. Captain Tom and his family are selfish. They're also highly entitled. And when he does die of covid I won't be wailing and weeping.

I always felt uncomfortable about the whole blowing smoke up his arse Captain Tom. I found it a cringefest, even having a TV documentary about his life which was dull as f, the bit I saw.
I always thought oooh what if he has skeletons in his closet.
