Usual comments apply. Just as a wee warning, if you didn't already know, the parent's favouritism between the siblings may be difficult for some here as the book continues. We don't know what the real dynamic is at home between Ruby and Martha, but I'm guessing the inspiration had to come from somewhere.

The volcano gives a bomb-ass performance and looks really good. Erimentha and Simone draw some diagrams and write a conclusion together about it, but once Simone leaves, in an act of scholastic infidelity, Erimentha spends two hours writing an essay about it to bulk out the work.

She does some room rearranging, organises her candles, fairly inoffensive stuff that you'd see on a Cottagecore StudyTuber's video. Mum comes into her room and they talk about the time they visited the British museum. Mum reminds Erimentha that the other museum curators were impressed at Erimentha lecturing them on their subjects of expertise, and how other children were complaining how bored they were.

By other children, they mean Nathan. They had to promise him a trip to the Lego store, and they laugh together at his silliness. Nathan - you are kind, you are loved, you matter!

Ruby pretends to support small businesses! The tiny font says '(and if you're still shipping for Christmas)'. It's December 13th, Christmas is in less than 2 weeks, the postal service is busy, staff are isolating, and she only just thinks to promote small businesses? She is unbelievably lazy/disorganised.

You know who owns small businesses, Ruby? All the fucking small business owners whose shops you keep refusing to put the name of in any of your content.

Why haven't you supported small businesses at any point before now, while bending over backwards to advertise Waterstones wherever possible?

The nerve of this dipshit. She gets worse by the day.

Jade's too preoccupied with embracing and appreciating the ✨ CASUAL MAGIC✨of morning porridge or the kaleidoscope of colours seen in a traffic light to notice something as trivial as Ruby wasting away to nothing.
Jade gets on my nerves in terms of her attitude and behaviour but I will say in her favour that she shows you can be vegan and look healthy, and her posts don’t centre her food a lot, so she’s not a bad influence to kids on that topic.

Ruby: Gets asked to stop posting triggering food content after asking her followers what they'd like her to change.
Also Ruby: Makes sure the first shot of her next vlog is a tiny meal in the shallowest bowl possible, even putting it before the vlog intro.

Ruby remembered to continue numbering the titles for her "daily" vlog series, after forgetting for 4 out of 7 videos.

To add to the franchise confusion, this 7th entry in the series is evidently a prequel to the last one. This footage was shot a week before Vlog 6:

Untitledghfhh.png

The police are evidently closing in, since Ruby has a call scheduled with her lawyer, along with an interview (aka interrogation). Are they finally ready to arrest her father for tax evasion? Only time will tell.

Her timetable also lists "work" though, so this entire planner already seems like fiction.

'Admin tasks: Activate.' Ruby is a Russian sleeper agent: Confirmed.

In case you hadn't heard, Ruby likes Autumn. You know what she likes more than Autumn? Telling people that she likes Autumn. And stealing from charities. But also the Autumn thing.

Ruby went to the "AXE!-eter" shop. She never explains if this is anywhere near Exeter.

Ruby heads home after university, but makes sure to stop along the way to put her camera on the wall to film herself walking up a path from multiple angles for some reason:

Untitldghkhh.jpg

Untitldghfhh.jpg

At which point, early onset dementia kicks in, as she apparently forgets where she's going, immediately turns around and walks back in the opposite direction towards university for no reason whatsoever:

Untitlkhh.jpg

Ruby bought herself an Exeter University pennant. She hasn't, as yet, bought an AXE!-exter University pennant.

She also bought A Chaste Maid in Cheapside for her Kindle:

Untitlh.jpg

Meanwhile, Perlego's over here like:

(Yup, A Chaste Maid in Cheapside is available free to subscribers on Ruby's mostest favouritest digital book platform (at least, it is when Perlego are paying for it to be).)

Less than 5 and a half minutes into the vlog and she's already run out of content again and has to stitch on an unrelated video for padding.

Since she's clearly failed to maintain anything resembling a daily schedule, I've no idea why she doesn't just whittle this boredom into a 10 minute weekly vlog, or just not bother at all, since she never intentionally films anything interesting.

Ruby's academic year resolutions include spending more time with Blakeney, which I'm sure Blakeney's fucking thrilled about, as if having this delusional, parasitic barnacle latched onto her for only 8-12 hours a day wasn't enough.

Ruby's resolutions:

  • Socialise more! But also don't force yourself to be more social!
  • Study more, despite already spending all your waking hours obsessing over studying!
  • Don't go home as much! But also go home twice in a month of starting uni and write to your mum days after leaving the house!
  • Look after your physical and mental health! But also never stop studying and never eat anything!
  • Don't do all the extra reading! But just continue doing all the extra reading, after wasting the summer doing extra reading!

She's completely lost her mind.

Re: the Oscar Wilde thing, I’d actually respect her so much more if she threw her hands up and said “I never realised, I’m sorry, thanks for correcting me” - part of maturing is realising it’s okay to be wrong and it’s more admirable to acknowledge it and move forward. The weird convoluted excuses that amount to “actually I was right, you just misunderstood and didn’t get what I meant” cringes me out like nothing else.

It is fascinating to see someone so extremely sheltered make observations on the world. She was so happy to go to the archives and have the key around her neck - like most people have at their workplaces or I guess she was cosplaying m'acadeymia.
Totally agree with all of this. When she was in Pizza Express having lunch and gleefully explained she was 'on her lunch break'! It's like a rich kid pretending to have a job and not understanding what it's actually like to work at all

Out of curiosity I typed “Erimentha” into the Reddit search bar to see if anybody talked about it on there. I found one post, and it absolutely sums it up.

''Silver like the midday sun on a Tuscan sea.'' Is she hallucinating? It's silver like the midday sun on a pile of mud.

Er anyway, I saw her recent post about homesickness:

View attachment 1120882

Mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it is important to look after your mental health, and if this is what Ruby needs to do to cope then fair enough. However, the line 'there's nothing wrong with it at all' sets of alarm bells. It feels like she's regressed and is content to do what's comfortable, rather than challenging herself to grow. Ruby's just given herself permission to stay at home indefinitely and I don't think that'll be good for her in the long-term. But if her mental health has got worse recently then I guess the decision makes sense.
Yeah, it's definitely not beneficial for Ruby overall to simply give in to being completely dependent on the presence of her parents and only being happy if she's home acting like a child (she looks absolutely miserable at all other times).

Acting like only going home two times in a month and a half is a major accomplishment, complete with smug, grinning Insta photo, is bizarre. She's acting like she just got her 1 month chip for staying clean from alcohol or a gambling addiction. It's insane.

Untitled7687.jpg

(Yes, Ruby, you really showed your critics bullies by only going home twice this term. Y'know, not counting all the family trips, meet-ups and Devon holidays inbetween that you failed to mention. Or the other times you went home that you just lied about and reposted old photos of your Exeter desk over the weekend to make it seem like you stayed at uni. But go you, you really showed everyone!)

Homesickness is normal. If you enjoy the company of your family and like to visit them often, that's cool, too. But there's a line, and a point where that becomes weird, worrying and totally impractical. For Ruby, it's massively detrimental to her independent growth. She's refused to spend time away from her family, and now she's practically incapable of spending time away from her family. University was her time to get used to independence and grow as a person. She's completely squandered the opportunity in every way.

Ruby neglects to mention that alongside running home from Exeter every single weekend, she almost always gets her parents to drive from Buckingham to Exeter to collect her and drive her home.

She also supplements her visits home by often dragging her parents to Devon so they're right next to Exeter and she can stay with them yet again (she did that again a week or so ago, which she naturally doesn't mention here). They're wealthy adults who I'm sure would love to travel somewhere new, and I highly doubt they'd be going to Devon every other week if Ruby weren't in Exeter stomping her feet and crying if they don't.

On the rare occasions she goes somewhere else, she gets her parents to drive hundreds of miles and several hours out of their way take her, even though she could easily get the train herself. And she preaches sustainability while making her parents burn tanks of petrol a week unnecessarily.

She sends a letter to her mother every single day, despite nothing worthwhile or notable happening in her life on a day-to-day basis, and even though she'll be seeing her mother that very weekend when or before the letters arrive. She has her mother put together expensive-to-ship care packages of commonplace bullshit from the kitchen like spices that she could easily buy from a shop in Exeter (or collect when she goes home days later).

That's not homesickness, it's more of her retreat-into-childhood, 'I'm an 11 year-old at boarding school!' cosplay nonsense. But the more she does it, the less equipped she'll be when the adult world comes knocking after graduation. And for someone who's constantly complaining about having not enough time and is falling behind on major uni work, wasting time on 6 hour round trips home should be the least of her priorities.

Her framing it like it's essential for her mental health to be with her parents constantly is either a massive red flag that she needs massive amounts of therapy, or (more likely) it's just her pre-empting criticism - it's for her mental health, so if anyone mentions how strange it is to be so compulsively dependent on the presence of her parents, they're bullies!

People aren't criticising you for being homesick at uni and going home often, Ruby. They're criticising you because you're a wealthy 21 year-old who claims to run a business and is a self-proclaimed master of productivity and planning - someone who as an influencer claims she's qualified to educate young people on all manner of things and how to live their life - and you can't function without your parents nearby every single day and can't do a single thing by yourself.

They make fun because you act like a spoilt child about the whole situation, expecting your parents drive across the country just to chaperone you everywhere, and looking like a petulant toddler about to burst into tears when you have to get the train by yourself:

Screenshot_20211202-110545_YouTube.jpg

They comment on it because you lie about it so much, framing family outings as "solo trips" or just neglecting to mention that your parents were hovering off-camera. The recurring "my mummy and daddy drove me because they just happened to be in the neighbourhood, hundreds of miles from their home!" lie will never not be hilarious.

I don’t understand what Molly is doing…like pick a side already
In all honesty? Maybe she’s being a grownup and showing that you can be friends with someone without agreeing with all they do, or even following them on social media.

i mean dang, i came here to tattle a bit, maybe read a good gossip guy review, now i GAN-YUUIN-LEE feel bad for all of them. daddy bones probably feels trapped in there, we know about mother granger, ruby is a trainwreck and martha is probably just one big coping mechanism. they could be so happy but it somehow just didn't work out for them and that's not fair. now i can't talk shit about them because i always have to think about this part of them and maybe ruby's weird things all steer from that and yikes.

This morning Ruby posted a photo of a plant saying ‘the first bluebells of the season’ on her stories. However, they were not bluebells, they were hyacinths. It’s normal not to know it if you are not a plant person, but she was talking about an app to identify flowers and plants just yesterday and she didn’t bother to use it today because she is an AXXpert on nature apparently. She deleted the story half an hour later…

I’m so sick of this pretentious twit. Who tf brings a BOOK to a film premiere?? Let alone gets photographed holding it?? she’s desperate to show off how studious she is. Thank god she doesn’t drive or else she’d be reading at the wheel and vlogging at the same time to show what a productive multitasker she is
