Aren't most planners yearly? Why does she call it the Yearly planner?

Tell me you've never engaged in conversation with someone who works a full-time job without telling me.

These "I never understood why [blank]" ponderances she always comes out with are the kind of mysteries that are easily cleared up by simply asking someone, but that's hard to do when she insists on only socialising with children and fellow workshy Tories.

But to answer your question, Rubert, it's a bit like wondering why someone lets knowing they have to go for a root canal in the afternoon ruin their morning; the dread of an impending Monday morning can sully a perfectly good Sunday.
Not everyone gets weekends off you absolute potato. God she's irritating. She cannot grasp that not everyone likes the same things as her.

Does she also realise that for people who work Mon-Fri, their weekends aren't always their own to frolic through dead grass? They might be the only days someone can go shopping, clean, prepare for the next week of work, study if they're studying while working. Lol who am I kidding, of course Lazy Bones doesn't know those things. She doesn't rub shoulders with the inferior poors.

Long time lurker here. I used to watch Ruby Granger a lot before and during my gcse years and pretty much idolised her. As an impressionable young audience I was thoroughly convinced that I needed to do what she did to succeed at school which resulted in me emulating many of her nonsensical things like the 15hr studyrathon (and I’d always crash before I hit 10 hrs lol, surprise surprise :). I was also convinced that I was not entitled to say how much I like books because I could not read as fast as she could. It was not solely due to the impacts of her videos but I started having anxiety problems and v low self esteem after I finished my gcses. I changed my approach to studying during sixth form as part of my strategies to improve my mental health. I got rid of all the fancy list-making and aesthetics and stuff and only used 1 black pen to take notes which was way more efficient for me, I also stopped measuring my progress using the number of hours but used outcomes instead. I deffo worked nowhere near 15hrs a day lol and took a lot of time off during weekends. My notes were not aesthetically pleasing but they were concise and most importantly they worked for me. I ended up getting straight A*s and am now studying at Cambridge. I stopped watching ruby and would hate to be mean to anyone but I was a living example of how her obsession with productivity and advice-giving and aesthetics could potentially have quite negative impacts on her audience. Studying is not a one-size-fits-all kinda thing and you don’t need to go to the extremes just to be productive. sorry about the long rant :///

My hot take on all of this. I believe Ruby isn't there for the Masters. She just wants to live out the aesthetic of being at Oxford. Shes gonna get through Masters there, get at least a pass grade and go on this rant about how "grades aren't everything" and then talk about how she was "so thankful to have the opportunity to study there" it's all to live out her 'Hermoine Granger Lifestyle'.

By the way, off topic, I passed my Masters with a merit so I am buzzing right now.

Honestly, just because *some* people have had bad experiences with landlords doesn’t mean that all landlords are awful people, so it makes me a bit disappointed that people are ready to make such sweeping generalisations about anyone that rents out property.
"Investing in property" is a gross concept. I don't care how 'lovely' you think the landlord is. With very few exceptions (situations where people are moving about e.g. university students living in a city temporarily) nobody should be forced to rent. People buying up multiple houses as "investments" and then charging more than their mortgage as rent is disgusting and directly contributing to this situation we're in where people are stuck renting because they can't get a mortgage because they can't save a deposit because all their money is going on rent even though mortgage payments would be less than their rent.

If it’s true that she is beginning to learn to drive, that’s such a huge step for her in regards to independence. I live in a remote, rural area like she does and when I got my driving license it literally changed my life.
on the other hand, Ruby on the road is quite a scary thought… :ROFLMAO:
"And of course, I ALWAYS read while driving...."

She doesn’t like Cathy from Wuthering Heights because she’s overly defensive and doesn’t admit her faults… the lack of self awareness is honestly kind of hilarious

If you're so bored at the age of 23 that you're making a recipe book, copying out poems, or painting over a book cover, then I think it's a sign to get a job.

This is going to sound weird af but I sort of hope her next book is a sequel: Erimentha Parker’s To Do List 2.0: Going Off to Uni

‘Chronic overachiever Erimentha Parker is off to university! Having been Head Girl and gotten all A*s at A levels she thinks she’s fully prepared for what her prestigious university has to offer and is excited to start this new journey of her life. She is off to a great start having met some lovely new friends to go to the bookshop with and even joined the anti-bullying society but she quickly discovers uni isn’t quite what she pictured it to be – her noisy flatmates aren’t always the most considerate of her important needs and her lecturers aren’t easily impressed with her having memorised the text within the first week of classes. In this addition, an 18 year old Erimentha struggles with growing up, adjusting to a new environment, and overcoming her destructive perfectionism and need to be the Best of the Best in her first year of university.’
