That should be 100% covered as well. I’m not sure if it depends on what state you live in, though. I’m in NY and state law requires that most insurance carriers completely cover mammography starting at age 35. I’m high risk and have mammograms with ultrasounds every six months, and an MRI yearly. It’s completely covered.Also she should be getting a mammogram now that she’s 40 (going on 63).
Maybe one of Jen’s many anxieties is medical anxiety? So she just won’t go for check ups? I have a relative who is like that. She also refuses to let her kids in public indoor areas during times when illnesses are more rampant. Panics thinking about having to take them to the doctor. Thankfully therapy has helped, she used to have a full panic attack if one of the kids sneezed.
But. Jen’s anxiety tends to lean on the more…performative and convenient side. If it allows her to spend time at home doing nothing, then she’ll blame anxiety.
