I think the point is that she was an adult woman by then who knew the risks of sending those images, so yes some accountability does fall to her. Yes she obviously trusted the person and didn't expect them to share the images without her consent - but she knew there was always the potential of what happened, to happen.nah i honestly don’t agree w the whole “she did it once and got bitten why do it again”. if she’d sent it to a random lad she barely knew the 2nd time maybe i’d agree slightly, but i think she was well entitled to send explicit images to a partner - regardless of her past experiences.
there’s a lot you can critique her on but that’s not it for me - errs on the side of beginning to sound victim blaming when the issue isn’t what she did, she’s a consenting woman, the issue is that without her consent they were shared
i dunno ... you wouldn’t say “she’s an adult woman, she knew if she wore a tight dress and had her cleavage showing she might get assaulted/jeered at on a night out” to someone who’s been in that situation? same thing to me. sharing explicit pics w trusted partners isnt a mistake, same way women wearing whatever the duck they want isnt a mistake eitherI think the point is that she was an adult woman by then who knew the risks of sending those images, so yes some accountability does fall to her. Learn from your mistakes etc.
I agree with you tbh. If someone cheated on you, then you got with someone else and they cheated on you too people wouldn't turn round and say "you should have learnt from the First time it happened" if you trust someone you trust someone i don't like zara but neither of her revenge porn "incidents" i have anything against her fori dunno ... you wouldn’t say “she’s an adult woman, she knew if she wore a tight dress and had her cleavage showing she might get assaulted/jeered at on a night out” to someone who’s been in that situation? same thing to me. sharing explicit pics w trusted partners isnt a mistake, same way women wearing whatever the duck they want isnt a mistake either
No because that implies you empower somebody to rape you, which by the very definition of rape is impossible. It's a very different scenario. Being purposely obtuse to make a point doesn't work because you simply invalidate your own argument; especially so in this context. Rape and revenge porn are apples and oranges - there is no valid comparison.i dunno ... you wouldn’t say “she’s an adult woman, she knew if she wore a tight dress and had her cleavage showing she might get assaulted/jeered at on a night out” to someone who’s been in that situation? same thing to me. sharing explicit pics w trusted partners isnt a mistake, same way women wearing whatever the duck they want isnt a mistake either
Pretty sure you can compare the two as being awful situations that are out of control of women yet we’re constantly victim blamed and shamed for the actions of others. No because that implies you empower somebody to rape you, which by the very definition of rape is impossible. You can compare apples and oranges as both being fruit that grow from trees... doesn't make them the same thing.Pretty sure you can compare the two as being awful situations that are out of control of women yet we’re constantly victim blamed and shamed for the actions of others.

Listen the revenge porn goes back and fourth too much on this thread but can I just say I do not "blame" Zara for somebody sharing explicit photos of her without her consent HOWEVER she chose to take the photographs, she chose to send the photographs to another person and without those choices it simply would not have been possible for anybody to share them without her consent; in that sense she does share some responsibility, particularly so the second time around.
Comparing this to rape is, frankly, disgusting. Both revenge porn and rape are wrong, I am not and will not argue they are not both wrong but they are also very much so not the same thing at all either.
Oh dear god hahahahhahahaha
i dont like her but that sounds exactly like whats going on at the moment. women shouldnt wear this, they shouldnt post in revealing clothes, its ‘asking for it’ do not agree at all, almost victim shaming. i agree with what someone said below, it was her partner why would she feel like she couldnt send to him!I don’t know if I am the only person that thinks this but to me she came across as such a cold person on that documentary. I get the story but as said above I don’t get that she did it twice and I also don’t get how she can be the spokesperson for this when she constantly has her body out in Instagram. Again this is just my opinion. She just does bot come across well at all and bow because of that misguided have her back on board with her rock hard square tits on show. David McDermott is jumping at every opportunity now on the back of that documentary
It's not really irrelevant though because she's done a revenge porn documentary so people can discuss that if they wantI'm sick of the revenge porn topic tbh. It's more than obvious by now that there is some opposing opinions on this. Personally I think it just proves what a bad representative she is for such a topic but at the end of the day it's irrelevant to this thread.
