I am finding 1923 a bit of a slog. And the violence against the young Native American woman rather gratuitous.
Agreed, but I suppose they're just trying to show how abhorrently they were treated? I was absolutely raging at the TV, "all this being done in the name of God?!" 🤬

I absolutely agree, it must be addressed but I do think much could be left unshown and we would still get it - begin to get it.

Isn’t because John isn’t his father and he has always known that? 🤷🏻‍♀️ If I was Jamie, I would have buggered off somewhere else a long time ago.
Defo more to that story, John seemed to speak so lovingly of Jamie's mum, I think there could be a twist that John is his actual dad!
Also what confused me is calling Jamie a disappointment even tho he's thee most educated and holds an office that has saved his families ass numerous times....he would be my fav child haha he is a wet wipe and push over but fuck he's a good attorney

1923 ending, arggg! It got too dark and violent for me by the end of the series. Least favourite of the Sheridan franchise so far.
I feel like I missed something, what was the whole point or story with the prostitutes? The show was all over the place

I love it. Just finished the last series. I agree eith the previous poster that some of the female characters are problematic.

I like that it's a bit different.

I love Kevin Costner too.

I just finished S5 & I feel a bit…😏 So much of it seemed cobbled together. Like they had footage & pieced it to half ass a bit of story with a lot of scenery & cowboy filler (not complaining about that though!). I feel like Beth uncharacteristically took her eye off the ball with Jamie especially after finding his gf had given a false name. WTH was the scene with Jimmy & the foot rub all about 🤯 I thought that was an opening to talk about YS arriving but they’d not even set off yet. Summer was just a completely pointless character. Idk it really did feel like the end, but a sad petering out rather than the blaze it deserves. I hope part 2 picks up 🤞🏼

I’ve just started 1883 & Jamie’s gf is the slappy woman on the train! She probably has a name but I’ve no idea what’s going on 😁
I loved 1883, possibly even more than Yellowstone (definitely more than seasons 4 & 5, season 3 was peak Yellowstone for me) I enjoyed there just being 1 main story arc not trying to remember lots of interlinked stories 😆 Monica’s physical therapist from the pool (season 2 or was it 1?) has a central role to play. Enjoy it.

I think Yellowstone could continue without Costner.

The should just write him out or kill him off. He is notoriously bad to work with and I think the directors have had it. He has only given them 1 week of his time to conclude the filming for the end of season 5.

1883 is on Paramount. It’s epic. Blows YS out the water.

I am basically rooting for Jamie at this point, aye.

Only recently discovered Yellowstone and binged it in a couple of weeks and now feel bereft 😭 Absolutely loved it! Thought Beth was going to be my favourite but she gets very repetitive season after season (especially when you binge watch it and don’t have the typical seasonal breaks). Love Rip (apart from what he did to Lloyd) and Jimmy and Teeter. Big crush on Walker (and Rip). In fact, pretty much love all the characters apart from Jamie.
Now what to watch first…1923 or 1883?
1883 then 1923 follows on from that and it hasn’t finished yet either haha
Agree about walker 😍

We run a construction business and my hubby is currently in the middle of purchasing a ford Ranger , but basically will be mine as we can put it through the company , so as if my fate and magic my arse is now going to be driving round my town thinking im some cowgirl driving this big old truck.... its fate 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Well, Jamie has really gone & done it now! 😱 fatal consequences for at least 1 of them coming up I'd guess. Seems we have to wait until summer for the final episodes, sooo long! 🤦‍♀️

Just started on 1923 now, very good, but hadn't realised only 2 episodes available at moment, doh! Doubt I'll remember to watch weekly so will catch up again in a few weeks.

I found this family tree very helpful, way too many generations now & I was getting confused! 🤠

We love it, great characters & unpredictable storylines. We'll wait until there's a few more episodes available before we start season 5, so I'll keep away from this thread until we've caught up! 🤠

The prequel series 1883 was brilliant too! Made me 😭 though as I got so invested in it all... there's another soon too, 1923 I think. I think there's just one more season of yellowstone planned after this?

It’s started from the beginning on Channel 5 tonight. It’s nice to watch it when Beth is sassy not annoying and Jamie was doing constructive things instead of being the snake that he is.

I binged 1883 & what beautiful storytelling it was! The scene where they’re crossing the river & Elsa is playing the piano was haunting & as another poster said I watched the final 2 episodes sobbing. & then I started 1923 🫨 I haven’t made it through the first episode, it’s ridiculous. Helen Mirren’s Irish accent is comical! Of all the Irish actors in the world, why not cast one 🤯 I know the story behind Harrison Ford being cast but he’s like the walking dead. It’s AWFUL 😩😩😩 Do I persevere????
It’s gets better but it can never compare to 1883 and Yellowstone.
