Honestly it really doesn’t take a lot to make me cry, I feel things very deeply. Didn’t used to be like this, I had a second round of CBT early last year and my therapist would encourage me to cry instead of bottling things up...problem is I don’t seem to be able to bottle anything up anymore 😂
Today’s cry I was out on a run and listening to Words Fail from DEH.
Yesterday’s cry was stressing about driving lessons and whether my anxiety patterns were coming back (a bit more serious).
If I go a week without crying it’s been a good week, I’m ridiculous 😖

2 weeks ago, my golden retriever got neutered and he got sick and couldn't keep anything down. Since it was the weekend I had to take him to the emergency vet and they said he ate something and would need surgery but they would have a specialist take another look. I cried for 2.5 hours just for them to tell me that he was fine and I could come get him. They gave him meds for nausea. I was so worried about him, he may be the goofiest dog ever but he is my goof ball and I love him.
Hope your boy is okay now .Our second dog wasn't very well after she was neutered had to sleep downstairs and feed her boiled chicken and eggs .Our Labrador just got neutered few months ago and sailed through it.She loves going to vets 🤨.Thinks it's because she loves fuss and cuddles

Whenever anyone asks me if I’m okay and I’m not this sets me off! Kind of your boss to care though?

A colleague asked me if I was okay the other day, I ended up sitting in the office crying for forty minutes! She must’ve wished she hadn’t asked!

Knowing that it is potentially a full year until I see my mam and dad 😭 I live in Manchester and they live in Ireland. Zoom isn't the same.

That's very hard. My brother and his girlfriend are expecting their 1st baby early next year. He still lives in Ireland. I don't think we'll be allowed to visit until covid goes. They think things are mad here.......to be fair things don't sound great in Ireland neither. I don't mind not seeing my brother 😂 but I do want to meet his baby when it's born 👶

I still can’t believe we’ve only met our niece twice since she was born in January. She won’t even know any of us. My SIL said she’s very strange with other people too. Same with our other niece on my side, we’ve only seen her twice this year too and she will be 3 soon. She is changing and developing so much, I couldn’t believe how grown up she’s getting, I had a little cry after that visit. My sons are missing out on bonding with their only cousins. These years are precious. I hope we don’t have to miss more.

My SIL had a miscarriage a couple of months ago. At the time she could still see her parents and siblings so she did have support (lockdown all across Ireland now again. It's very strict over there) My brother found it very hard though. He gets on well with his in-laws, they're nice people but it was very hard for him when that happened and he had none of his own family close by.

I feel like crying a lot but I rarely do . I think I either internally cry or I'm numb and think I should be crying

For anybody who was following my feral cat story on this thread.

This morning when I went to feed them, I met two of the ladies from the animal sanctuary trying to trap that little black & white guy and a couple of others. So, they managed to get his brother and another tabby that's been around the place as well. They thought that the black and white guy (we were calling him Socks, for obvious reasons) would be the easiest to catch as he's the friendliest, but not a hope. They had Felix, I had Whiskas and one of the ladies went to the deli counter in the nearby shop to get him some freshly cooked chicken because she said that's the one thing that they all love.
Well this little guy was clearly having a good laugh at us! She put the chicken into the trap, he stepped in halfway then put out his paw to grab the chicken and backed out of the trap again! The trap wouldn't close because A) he wasn't going in far enough for the mechanism to activate and B) he's a thin cat so his weight wouldn't have triggered it either.

I had to go away and meet someone for about an hour and when I came back one of the ladies was still there trying to get him. He wasn't hiding away or anything, he was right beside us and I swear he was laughing at us 😹
Another lady came along and ran to the pet shop which is nearby and bought some catnip spray. He WAS interested in it, but still wouldn't go in the trap even when it was sprayed with nip.
The lady from the rescue said she'll go back again tonight and tomorrow morning as tomorrow is Halloween and she doesn't want him out there on his own.

The really good news is that when she DOES eventually manage to get him, he and his brother (the black one) are going to be homed together with a lovely lady who has rescued cats, dogs and even donkeys and she's taking two of the others as well.
They'll all be neuteured and health checked first but should be ready to go to their new home in a couple of weeks.

Sorry, I hope I'm not boring anyone with my cat stories. I know not everyone is into them, but it's just lovely to see that there are people like that rescue who are so good because it's all voluntary and they feed all the cats out of their own pocket too.

Cried at the weekend after reading vile comments about the rejection of free school meals on fb.Shouldn’t have let ignorant strangers opinions anger me but they did.I feel terribly sad about some people’s opinions on the matter

I cried last night because I’m exhausted. I tend to cry when my body has had enough. Also worried about another lockdown/Christmas/money. Had a good sleep last night (why do you always sleep well after a cry?!) and feel a bit better.
