People on there often seem quite unpleasant and very argumentative. If anybody says anything remotely controversial, the discussion gets closed down.

Yeah, I was discussing The Unfriend on there and why I won't be seeing it, and all posts concerning Frances Barber and her dodgy views were deleted
Not just you. Their moderation of what is and isn’t a suitable post seems so arbitrary. A lot of the threads are also pretty dead. There seems to be a small “in club” of incredibly dedicated theatre-goers who dominate any active thread.
Well at the moment there is a discussion on ALW and Cinderella.

Heathers is closing in just over a week so she might just be getting gossipy questions from fans ... but we'll see. I have seen the criticism of Paul Taylor Mills ramping up lately including the lack of swings and people blaming the proshot for it closing
I remember she got mad at people for asking her to credit them when using their photos

Paul Taylor Mills is one of the worst producers around at the moment for low pay, treating crew and cast like tit, and bad contracts
It will be about the whole sacking front of house staff debacle. PTM is known for treating his staff badly - it all kicked off this week on Twitter because someone leaked a letter FOH were sent informing them they wouldn’t have a job after Sept 3rd.
Is there more to it as that seems, normal? If a shows closing FOH don't have a job. That's gone on for forever.
The theatre is only dark for 5 days though. In larger companies, FOH would only lose their jobs for a dark period of 1 month +
There could be a few reasons for this:
• wanting to get rid of certain FOH staff
• not having the money to pay them 5 days dark
• not having enough venues to reassign staff to in order to pay them
• wanting to re employ them on new contracts that are worse in some way

I loved Rachael Tucker as Elphba, she was my favourite that I've seen and I loved Sophie Evans as Glinda.
Really? Why would she get angry - a bit rude of her? People have the right to be credited.
