Just under 9 months to go for us 🙈! I feel like we really need to start organising things now. We’ve still got to do:

-buy rings
-get bridesmaids dresses
-get bridal shoes (before my fitting in March)
-get the groom & best man suits & shoes
-order then send out invites for day & night
-give notice to registrar

we are already slightly over budget too, but I think it is from more guests being added 🙈! We’ve got our savings accounts though for the wedding and the honeymoon and we are saving harder than ever before 🤞

That doesn't sound too much! I made a to list yesterday which made me feel abit ill 😂 less than 8 months to go and my fiance hasn't even asked his groomsmen/best man to be involved yet 🤦

I had an email this morning saying I need to pay the balance on my honeymoon as it’s only 10 weeks away! So exciting but also a bit daunting how much I need to do between then and now 😬

Yeah we are pretty much done now in terms of booking suppliers and things, obviously this year will be full of appointments to meet with them all and go over finer details, but we are getting so close! We wanted to get everything sorted early as there are so many weddings this year!

We’re doing a mini-moon to Cornwall straight after the wedding so we can save for a bigger honeymoon later on in the year/next year

Oooo how exciting! That's still an option for us too, have you found there's much to do there? Or are you going for pure relaxation?
A bit of both really. We’ve booked an all inclusive hotel but made reservations at some other restaurants/beach clubs. There is quite a lot to do day trip wise, Barbados is really safe so I think we’re going to hire a car for a few days and travel around to see the island. It’s so exciting picking a destination, will you be going right after your wedding?

I still have 15 months to go but honeymoon chat excites me lol. We’re hoping to do multi destination, maybe Dubai and Mauritius!

8 weeks to go for us…. Waiting to hear back from suppliers is driving me mad. As we’re having a midweek, small wedding quite a few venue dressing companies allegedly have availability, but getting any of them to reply/give me a quote is like pulling teeth!

we are having 2 nights in the hotel we get married in as a mini moon as it’s in a beautiful place that we love and are going to leave the honeymoon until covid has calmed down/it’s more ‘normal’. We want to do NY or Norway (neither of us “do” chilling) so want to go when there are less restrictions

Sounds lovely! No I think we're having a mini moon for 2 nights after somewhere close to home without having to just go home after the wedding 😂 think we'll be going away properly about a month later. How about you?

we have Florida booked for our honeymoon. We have been twice before, we know so much about the place and even though it’s a none stop holiday, it’s very relaxing because we feel so comfortable there!

We are going on honeymoon six days after the wedding! We’ve used reward flights to book business class both ways, which was actually cheaper than economy at the time! I just want it all to hurry up!

Not sure if you’ve already been but, Norway definitely gets my vote. It’s absolutely stunning! Personally, I find hikes/walls really romantic (when you get to the top, not when you are a sweaty mess on the way down). I’ve been twice but, would love to do a cruise around the fjords next

Never been, but both have always wanted to! Same with New York, but that feels more of a long weekend (we’re quite efficient when we go on city breaks… see everything, spend not much time at anything 🤣)

I know the feeling, the first time we went to NY my mum wanted us to see absolutely everything and she made us walk everywhere. They 4 days felt like an eternity.

Weve got a little boy who'll be 2 by time we get married, so we're doing santorini just us 2 for a week for a honeymoon and then we're going away as a family for 5 days to maybe the lake district or centre parcs

I've seen a beautiful wed2b dress that I'm tempted to make an appointment to go try it! I'm just a bit worried cos the dresses are so well known and so many people go for them. Has anyone done any slight alterations to one to make it that more "special"?

You don’t need appointments at wed2b (not here anyway). I know a few people who’ve had wed2b dresses, my sister included. I would have too if I hadn’t found mine in a sample sale.

my sister had the straps turned into cap sleeves and diamanté added to her dress. Having said that, they change their stock really often that I don’t think having the same dress as other people is such an issue. I found several I liked that had been on the website for only a week or 2 but were sold out… everyone will make the same dress look different anyway, if you love it go for it, don’t feel like you have to have alterations if you love it how it is
