Thank you guys, I think it’ll be enough! Especially with other desserts I was just so worried about running out of cake lol! But people will be too busy dancing/drinking at the end of the night to worry about cake haha
Sorry for the confusion, we married elsewhere in Italy (not coastal) but had our minimoon in Puglia we didn’t have a totally exclusive venue either, I wouldn’t necessarily automatically rule it out if within the venue you have areas that are exclusive to you, and you are confident there will be enough staffing to look after you and your guests.Amazing thanks - do you mind sharing the name of your venue? I have been looking at Puglia and liked coco beach club but it’s only exclusive from 7 pm as they are open during the day
I never even thought of Lingerie. Although I’ll be braless in my dress, I should probably get nice knickers . Mr P will probably be too drunk to function that night thoughHere’s a question. Do people still buy wedding night lingerie?!
This is the thing! I have big knickers for under my dress but we’re going away for the night am I supposed to make an effort?!I never even thought of Lingerie. Although I’ll be braless in my dress, I should probably get nice knickers . Mr P will probably be too drunk to function that night though
Our wedding is over the entire bank holiday weekend so I guess I better order a few things even if just for day two I’m really lucky with the cut and style of my dress that I don’t need control pants because I cannot stand them… although I did order some skims just incase I get bloated .This is the thing! I have chronic IBS so I can just drink one glass of water and I’m bloated I feel more comfortable in something high waisted due to the cut of my dress, and I have massive boobsOur wedding is over the entire bank holiday weekend so I guess I better order a few things even if just for day two I’m really lucky with the cut and style of my dress that I don’t need control pants because I cannot stand them… although I did order some skims just incase I get bloated .
off to take a wee look online now, does anyone have any recommendations for sexy but still bridal underwear?
I kind of did. I was braless anyway in my dress and I just bought some nice white lacy brief type thing from next for underneath! Here’s a question. Do people still buy wedding night lingerie?!
I was the exact same braless and just bought a white lacy pants and also a blue garterI kind of did. I was braless anyway in my dress and I just bought some nice white lacy brief type thing from next for underneath!
I had a garter as well as I got given one for the wedding because it was blue!
I don’t eat cake so I’d never looked into it before but, it was the one thing my husband was insistent on having I was so shocked at the price when she showed us designs and said they were fake layers. I couldn’t believe it. But, yeah £800 sounds a decent price, especially if they’ve come recommended! We also had a macaron tower cake with matching flowers which went down a hit!How much are you guys paying for a cake? My wedding is abroad so I’ve had to look online and try and find someone I really love. I’ve asked my venue and florist too and they really recommended her.
It’s hard because I’ve never tasted her cake but a 5 tier cake is costing us £800 (but 2 layers are not real). Apparently she’s the “best of the best”, but £800 for essentially a 3 layer cake seems a lot. Then again, maybe I just don’t know cake prices
Same and it was a very small bridal party - we were ready just in time for church. photographer took a lio longer than I expected and there was a delay with hairdresser who did an entirely different style to what I had picked that added 40 mins to hairWe started at 7:30am (one person doing hair, one person doing makeup) for myself and 5 bridesmaids for a 1:30 ceremony. I will say it was a bit rushed towards the end and we were only ready literally 10 mins before I had to walk down the aisle so I wish we’d started earlier now.
We had one table of 8 where 3 couples didn't show despite confirmation week before they were coming we had to swap a table around as it was near the top table and looked terribleThank you!
I’m just quite annoyed how many said they’d turn up at night and they just never arrived… I just think it’s so rude when you plan for a certain number and loads don’t turn up and don’t even tell you why!
Very few guests ate our cake we had 3 tiers all diff flavours cut and shared with tea/coffee in evening- I didn't i wasnr going to have a cake die to price but my friend made it as her gift and it was gorgeous- I ate the choc biscuit layer for 2 weeks afterHonestly, cake is a waste of money. I've been to so many weddings where I've never even got a piece of the cake. Total waste. If you feed guests, nice dessert is enough. Nobody needs a second dessert. If you're having cake instead of dessert then fair enough.
Wedding favours are also a waste of time and money unless immediately edible or potable.
That’s so annoying! People are so rude honestly! I’m lucky it was just my night guests that didn’t show, minus the maid of honour’s partner doing a runner… people don’t seem to realise that these things cost money! We had one table of 8 where 3 couples didn't show despite confirmation week before they were coming we had to swap a table around as it was near the top table and looked terrible
