I prefer story of seasons (ie the original harvest moon) to the new harvest moons but the one thing they have in common is that you should never pay full price for them cos they’ll be on massive discount a few months! I’d play Fae Farm for now and wait for a good sale on the Harvest Moon, guarantee it will be half price or less whatever platform you’re on by the time it’s been out for 6 months.

I have one of the story of seasons, I think it's friends of mineral town I have, I might wait a bit for harvest moon to go on sale for either Xbox or ps then, usually am used to just buying when they come out on Nintendo cause they hardly ever go on sale, Nintendo seem to hold their value for years unless you get lucky with a flash sale

I use the Dekudeals site to track the prices, you can see how often the older games have been heavily discounted so I’d expect the new one to follow the pattern (can track Xbox and PS games too). I’m waiting for the newest Story of Seasons to get a big discount before I buy.

Anyone heading back to New World for the expansion? I started playing again for the last couple of days but expecting not to be able to get online today with the update. Already seems to have improve a bit (and easier for me to not die) but it still not hugely friendly towards people who prefer to solo stuff.

I was watching some gameplay yesterday on Youtube and it looks really good. Definitely keen to give it a play at some point.
Think am waiting a bit, usually I'd go out an get the AC games but the rumours of it only being 20h game play has put me off right now till I hear if that's right or not

Nah no way. With everything there is to do?? We are already 5-6 hours in and have barely touched the story so far.
That's good then, I was worried there was some truth to the rumours, not that there's much wrong with shorter games but anything less than 30h I usually wait till it's on sale if it's a full price game
I was a bit surprised tbh to hear those rumours since it's not like AC to really do short games
I’m finding generally recently a few game reviews from places I’d normally trust seem to be inaccurate, especially in terms of reporting on bugs - eg a totally game breaking one will be described as minor but a few frame rate drops will be described super negatively, and also how long it takes to complete games/how much stuff there is to do.
It’s really annoying when I’m trying to work out whether a game is worth it!

I tried it soon after release and it was an awful unoptimised mess on PC. Played a few hours and uninstalled it was so ropey.
Downloaded the latest version+liberty expansion/red mod last week and got to say I'm impressed at the visuals in 4k on high/max detail. Just driving round the city is a blast.
I've never liked the cyberpunk genre and only finished Deus Ex grudgingly back in the day (heavy influence on this one) but I'm quite enjoying this. The first act has some stand out action set pieces and one development that totally threw me. I've no bleeping clue whats going on now but it looks fabulous on a decent PC and runs smoothly at decent frame rates.
I said in an earlier post that I always wait 6+ months on a new release till it's patched up properly. The difference between the first time I played it and this version is night and day. Glad I came back to this one.
Next up I fancy the RE4 Ada expansion.

Also currently playing cyberpunk. We had it on ps4 when it first came out - ran ok for us with no major issues so other half played it once and that was it . We have a pc now so got it on sale a few months ago. Other half has completed it since and I’m 37 hours in. Not my style of game at all (I’m so bad at anything involving shooting) so I’m just playing on story mode and have been loving it. Looks great. We will probably get the expansion at some point.
I bought Sniper Elite 5 during a Steam sale, I'm about halfway through now and it's rubbish. There are barely any spots you can actually use your rifle without being heard, I've spent almost all my time creeping up and knifing all the Nazis instead or using the subsonic pistol ammo I finally got in my loadout after the fourth mission. It's really glitchy as well, I keep getting stuck in the scenery or caught in an infinite loop going up and down ladders.
^^^I've been playing sniper elite 4 recently again and got into it more in regards to weapons progression and kit load out. Started setting up elaborate traps with mines etc. Never gets old IMO. I also managed to shoot Hitler in the balls unintentionally in an add on to 3 thus reinforcing the urban myth.

I found SE 3 a bit samey location wise and the first two were too fiddly for a basic brute force FPS type like me.

Apologies for the double post but I'm now officially really enjoying Cyberpunk 2077.
Thought provoking and has made me play in a different way via stealth hacking. The whole playing experience has really opened up with the use of cyber upgrades. I went in one mission all guns blazing and got my a handed back to me. Tried it again just by scanning and manipulating surrounding tech and it was far more entertaining and efficacious.
It's the only RPG I can think of since Vampire: The masquerade (circa 2004) where I've read all the NPC responses and found them of actual interest/not forced/purely for lazy plot exposition. Interesting and sympathetic characters who seem to have a little depth. Meditations on the nature of reality/death. I'm prudish by nature when it comes to gaming/films etc but I can respect a game with adult themes such as this one when it's not just titillation.
Belated retrospective GOTY for me. Credit where credits due.
Liberty expansion got a 10 on IGN. That means in reality it's a 7/8 but it's sure to be a good un IMO. Wish I had more dedicated gaming time tbh.

I seem to not be able to get on anymore now, it comes up saying it's busy an wait times are long but am waiting hours at times, I've been over 3 hours once an its still not given me a time to say when I can get on, last night was over a hour before it eventually said I had a 15 min wait (which turned out closer to 30 mins) not sure if this is happening mostly for me or if anyone else is starting to get these problems

I have exactly the same issue. Even trying to play games that aren't popular.
I gave up trying.
I tried one the other day and said wait time of 15 minutes and after 30 minutes I gave up!
I end up deleting and downloading as I want them now. But mainly because we have decent internet and although the xbox speeds seem to be capped, it still downloads arpund 200mbps so doesnt take TOO long.
