We had a collie for almost 14 years he passed away last September we were devastated he went to the kennels once and we missed him like hell we never did it again we always did our holidays in the UK with him or we went seperately I've left home now and my mum wanted to rescue a dog as she missed the paw patter round the house and she works full time so no chance of her getting a dog from dogs trust I'll admit I was extremely bitter about how Vicky had the luxury of having a dog but treating Milo like she does but suppose I was greiving but mum's rescued a dog a little terrier from Spain and he's as bonkers if not more than the collieThis! My labrador died last year and I had 2 holidays abroad without him in his 13 years! Every other single holiday was in the UK with him.
Sod all chance I can get a dogs trust dog though as I have children - which is why she really boils my piss where this dog is concerned

It is absolutely shameful but happy to give dogs to people like vicky who couldn't give one shite about that poor dogI feel the same, I applied for a few rescue dogs through Dogs Trust and they wouldn’t give me one as I live in a flat and work full time. I ended up getting a show cocker spaniel from a local breeder, she lived until she was 16 and was never alone one day in her whole life as my dad is retired and cared for her when I was at work. Living in a flat meant I worked harder on her walks and she was very well socialised, I think it’s shameful these charities don’t see the bigger picture when rehoming these dogs, it’s shameful!
