I was at the pub the other day and a dog kept like dragging itself along the back of my chair with my coat on it. My coat smelled like dog afterwards :/

It's not the dogs' fault - it's the owners. It shouldn't be a one-size-fits-all policy - "well behaved dogs and owners welcome" would be a good sign to see lol
A lot of places do have dog rules. But I'm not sure they actually enfoce them. I'd be mortified if my dog was rubbing himself on someone's chair.

I was in a place the other week and the rule was all 4 paws on the floor, no sitting on laps or chairs and no feeding from the table. I thought that was pretty fair.

I don't want to be a big dog basher but, they are usually sat in the way, can be intimidating and are pretty smelly. I would rather the indoor tolerance was limited to small and medium breeds.

I HATE the current trend of dogs being allowed in absolutely everywhere. The amount of entitled dog owners who firmly believe that their 'baby' SHOULD be allowed in everywhere and will argue and get quite aggressive is something else.

My brother and SIL live in Ireland (SIL is Irish) and over there ONLY service dogs are allowed into shops, restaurants etc, which is as it should be. I can't understand why they have the run of the place in the UK.
oh no, I love being able to take my dog places :( I think I must be alone on this thread! My OH agrees they shouldn’t be allowed in as many places but it’s so nice taking my dog for a walk, having a coffee and reading a book with her watching the world beside me. I’m pretty introverted but my dog sparks up so many conversations with people, so it’s nice chatting to people I otherwise might not have. She definitely loves it too - it’s a change of scenery for her, lots of mental stimulation and good socialisation and training. I love how dog friendly the U.K. is, I hope it doesn’t change

I don’t see her as my “fur baby” but she is a much loved companion and I enjoy spending time with her as much as possible, god knows their lives are short

The other thing with dogs, which no one takes into consideration, is that a lot of people are allergic to them. My hubby is very allergic to dogs and it is really annoying when you're somewhere like a cafe and someone strolls in with a dog. We do avoid places that are dog friendly but if my hubby recoils when your dog is near there is a really good reason for it!

He is also very, very allergic to horses and where we live there are quite a few stables dotted about the area. So, if you've been at the stables all morning, don't think it's acceptable to pop into Tesco in your jodhpurs and riding boots. You stink and it's disgusting.

I weirdly love the smell of horses

What is joyful about it? half of the pizza is gone!!! I want the whole pizza design it like a bauble not a wreath 🤣
When you make the wreath pizza (with extra cheese obvs) the bit you cut out is your own personal pizza. With lots of extra cheese, pepperoni and olives :D

The shop I work in we allow dogs. They are FAR preferable to the customers, even when they shake mud all over the joint I'd take that any day over 100% of the humans :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Speaking of dog allergies, I’m reminded when I was on the tube and a lady and her friend sat next to me and started talking loudly across the little tube corridor? thing. My dog is pretty small anyway but she was an adorable puppy at this point, sitting on my lap.

shes “hypoallergenic” so doesn’t affect most people with allergies anyway, but the women next to me complained loudly that she was allergic to dogs. So I offered to move.

she said no. Why sit next to me when I have a dog? Why complain loudly about your allergies? Why tell me not to bother moving if you felt the need to loudly declare it to the whole carriage?

I like a moan as much as the next person but in my (unpopular) opinion some people enjoy being contrary and difficult. They aren’t actually annoyed they’re just addicted to the feeling of being annoyed

That's the thing though. We do try and avoid dogs and places were you would normally find them. Would never stay in somewhere like a dog friendly hotel etc and if we saw one on a tube we would avoid it. It's just a bit frustrating that people think it is acceptable to take them literally anywhere these days. He is still affected by hypoallergenic dogs.

British food is usually unseasoned and bland!
But wait, isn't your national dish chicken tikka masala 🤣 (originated in the UK for British taste palettes lol)

I can't really speak though. Irish food is SHITE. How anyone could look at a bowl of shite Irish stew and think "Oh wow, that looks appetising" is beyond me. Or worse yet... as a Dubliner, I'm expected to love coddle.. yes even the name sounds revolting - a bowl of muck (stewed sausages, bacon, potatoes and onions) and it's the popular thing on Irish twitter to muster a fake working class persona and go on about your mam's beloved bowls of coddle. Yeah, no thanks. I'll keep my pizza and sushi thanks.

Call me weird but I wouldn't mind trying that!

Your dog sounds very well-behaved!! Yeah, this was super late (at like 1AM)? The dog (largish medium size) has been there before so I'm not sure if it was the pub owner's or what. I think it belonged to some (very drunk) patrons though. I can see that the bar staff would be too knackered to get onto a group of drunks at 1AM about their dog's behaviour. If that's the case then they shouldn't allow dogs in at that time at all :/

I think if people complain loudly but don't follow through it's cos they have an issue with confrontation (a bit counterintuitive bc gossiping about someone when they can hear you < just asking them to move). She probably imagined you wouldnt cooperate/that you were unreasonable, so when you offered to cooperate immediately, she felt a bit stupid/too embarrassed to ask anything of you

Over priced designer shoes and handbags are a waste of money 😬
I love my bags but agree re shoes. I bought Gucci loafers and Charlotte Olympia cat pumps...not great. Got fake LV sliders from China they look and feel fabulous.

Yep, spiders are DUDES and so chilled out.

Daddy long legs's mind, they will be killed without remorse, evil flitting fuckers.
Do you mean those crane fly things? that have legs that just dangle aimlessly while they thump the ceiling with their heads? I'm with you there, I don't kill them I try to shoo those out but flies bleeping hate them ( maggots eeeeek) I kill millions of flies every year and have no remorse at all.

BLT sandwiches are overrated

Supernatural horror films aren't scary

Things that are hyped or raved about are usually rubbish

Maybe Tattle unpopular opinions:

Some influencers/youtubers/whatever don't look as different in their selfies vs. tagged photos as much as people say

I don't like it when tattlers talk about themselves as though they're better than that influencer/celeb/youtuber (even if the person is annoying, horrid, etc)
