A lot of places do have dog rules. But I'm not sure they actually enfoce them. I'd be mortified if my dog was rubbing himself on someone's chair.I was at the pub the other day and a dog kept like dragging itself along the back of my chair with my coat on it. My coat smelled like dog afterwards :/
It's not the dogs' fault - it's the owners. It shouldn't be a one-size-fits-all policy - "well behaved dogs and owners welcome" would be a good sign to see lol
I was in a place the other week and the rule was all 4 paws on the floor, no sitting on laps or chairs and no feeding from the table. I thought that was pretty fair.
I don't want to be a big dog basher but, they are usually sat in the way, can be intimidating and are pretty smelly. I would rather the indoor tolerance was limited to small and medium breeds.
