You should put cats out last thing at night & let them back in again at Breakfast time

Why would you want to leave a domesticated animal out in the cold all night?! Weird.
I could never let mine outdoors simply because I would always be dreading the knock on from someone hitting them with a car (and people don't even bother telling you when its cats a lot of the time) or if they didn't come home.

I have a cat and a dog and they both smell in their own way to be fair. A wet dog stinks and so does cat piss!
This will have been done before but…the rhyming threat titles of tattle are mostly so cringe

Yeah you're lucky. Daily posts from people in my neighborhood about their dead or lost cats cured me from ever wanting to have a cat that goes outside

To be clear I don’t leave my cat out all night. She knocks to be let back in. I would though cos she wakes me up at 3am without fail to be escorted to her bowl and there’s usually already food in it for her. Winds me up I think it depends where you live though. We don’t live on a main road nor does our cat go out the front, she’s usually in our garden, on top of the shed or in the neighbours garden. When it’s raining or freezing cold she’ll come back in a lot quicker then in the summer months.

Or people feeding it or picking it up themselves. I've seen an increase in people asking whether cats have owners because they keep showing up in their garden because you know... there's a food source and they're cats

I think it does depend on where you live and maybe the cat themselves. Some go off to completely different neighbourhoods and it doesn't matter that you don't live by the main road at that point

This has sent me how does she knock? I need more info here
Omg honestly so she gets up on her back legs and taps her paws on the back door and if you ignore her she just scratches and scratches. Sometimes I’m feeling lazy so I pretend I don’t see her to make her come through the kitchen window but she’ll carry on looking at me and knocking
