You should put cats out last thing at night & let them back in again at Breakfast time

wrong. My dog uses his back legs to kick mud over his.Cats will usually use their paws to cover their excrement with cat litter or with earth in the garden if possible. Dogs just leave it where it fell.
There's also something called a catflap nowadays.UO

Yeah you're lucky. Daily posts from people in my neighborhood about their dead or lost cats cured me from ever wanting to have a cat that goes outsideI mean our first cat went outside and lived until she was 19, got put to sleep as she was old. Our second cat went outside and lived until she was 17, also got put to sleep cos she was old and unwell. Our current cat is 5 and goes outside and so far so good so we must be doing something right?
Gosh some of you are getting really personal with these dogs

To be clear I don’t leave my cat out all night. She knocks to be let back in. I would though cos she wakes me up at 3am without fail to be escorted to her bowl and there’s usually already food in it for her. Winds me upWhy would you want to leave a domesticated animal out in the cold all night?! Weird.
I could never let mine outdoors simply because I would always be dreading the knock on from someone hitting them with a car (and people don't even bother telling you when its cats a lot of the time) or if they didn't come home.
Or people feeding it or picking it up themselves. I've seen an increase in people asking whether cats have owners because they keep showing up in their garden because you know... there's a food source and they're catsI could never let mine outdoors simply because I would always be dreading the knock on from someone hitting them with a car (and people don't even bother telling you when its cats a lot of the time) or if they didn't come home.
One of my mum's two cats is big he's literally broken flaps away from their hinges before.Keep it locked until Breakfast time

Omg honestly so she gets up on her back legs and taps her paws on the back door and if you ignore her she just scratches and scratches. Sometimes I’m feeling lazy so I pretend I don’t see her to make her come through the kitchen window but she’ll carry on looking at me and knockingThis has sent mehow does she knock?
