It is reasonable but if she admitted that she couldn't bang on about how demanding, difficult and unique Minerva education is. This girl needs to take a chill pill and lie down for several minutes. Between her forced hysteria and Eve Bennett's utter idiocy about Covid, I am convinced that moat big studytubers just stupid kids who got lucky by memorising the hell out of everything for the exams. The only studytuber I can stand with active uni content these days is Lydia.

I respect IBZ Mo, mainly because he is very very honest about needing money to fund his studies. Like please don’t skip the ads I want the revenue. Like he is just a guy trying to make money. Like if Eve admitted she was doing a lot of Ads cause she wanted to fund her year abroad. Or if Jade admitted she regretted going to Minerva and online studying isn’t so revolutionary after all...

i really don't think minerva's course work is as hard as jade makes it out to be its so exhausting watching her complain like if you're so busy you don't have time for that. i think she has poor time management since she still finds time to run around the city even when its mini lockdown and before that she was running from cafe to cafe which really isn't a productive environment lets be honest. i don't know how much longer i can hate watch because her videos / insta stories are super boring its always the same thing

edit: and a 1500 word essay you can literally write in a day if you just sit down and focus.

Honestly, I never watch her YT videos but since I looove drama, I stalk her Instagram and enjoy reading all of your funny comments here. But I always watch her stories on mute. I can’t stand her smug tone. I dislike her hand gestures. The way she smacks her hands against each other. Gaaaah. I know she stalks us here so she just does everything to tick us off! But lemme tell you sth, Jade. I prey on my fury. Bring it on!

Nobody thinks it's cool tho. Most of my friends really dislike it. There's some aspects that I enjoy about it like being able to manage my time and decide when I watch the lectures etc. Doesn't seem to be the case with Minerva tho. Their lectures are in ridiculous times, aren't they.

I think Jade loves to emphasize how hard her work is because she built her channel on being a hardworking student. It's clear education is no longer a priority for her, but she won't admit that because it would destroy the image she spent years cultivating.

It seems like it's compulsory for her to attend lectures too, as she always seems to sit through them at odd times of day and night. I guess it's all part of the adventure.

Even us tutors hate the online learning. It's really isolating and it's horrible that I don't know what half of my students look like.

Minerva's model will never catch on. Too much of university is about interacting with other people in a seminar and having them at normal times of day.

Exactly. While Jade voluntarily chose it, that doesn't make it the superior form of delivery. For some students it works great (for widening access), but at the same time so many students are lamenting the loss of the social life/Freshers week etc. which is so integral to the university experience. Even Jade herself wouldn't have done it if she hadn't been able to move around the world and do all her socialising that way.

i was just looking at Dinara’s instastory and she tagged a friend, and naturally, i had to stalk her friend (its@yurveya_yay). in her ‘Minerva life’ highlights, she showed some lab activities. and on one of the stories, she showed a very, very rusty scale. i’m surprised they didnt buy a new one or something considering minerva charges a tit ton of money. it’s actually insane imo.

anyways, curious what you guys think about her whole lab class!

I had a look and the labs are at Hanyang University (Minerva doesn't own any lab facilities), so it's probably part of the placements they do for extra credit which Minerva facilitates, i.e. pays the university so their students with no experience can do an internship there.
