Ukraine Russia War #14

And while there's all that going on over there, some research work has shown that maybe Russia doesn't care as much about the threat from NATO as it was trying to make out

So as pretty much everyone figured - all speculation without the proof now presented - that all the indignation from Russia about Finland and Sweden joining NATO was in relative terms no more than just the loudly hot air and one might argue gives weight to suggestions that Russia is actually having as much of a personnel shortage as anyone else.

Putin feeling sorry for himself

But he should take heart - yet another country to look at coming off the fence, this one on the back of him signing that deal in Pyongyang:

Plus they apparently have massive stockpiles of the things that could (fingers crossed, we have been here before) potentially be delivered fairly quickly.

An interesting point to be fair

It does rather depend if 'of fighting age' is the same as 'of conscription age', plus or minus fitness to do so, and also that not every single person in the entire country is on the front line or the country would shut down, people are permitted travel on their days off because they are still allowed days off...

His suggestion of stopping people at the border doesn't take into account that people from Ukraine have been allowed to live outside of Ukraine for many years now,

Presumably (after having to find out who TF he is) his theory is that it's a fake war that was set up for harvesting dark energy from all the 'normies'...

I think it brings up a perfectly valid suggestion that if there's still enough spare money sloshing around in the country for tens of thousands to head off for football, does the UK/Europe/US really need to be constantly sending so much cash there? It just slightly changes the picture of total desperation that the media love to paint.

Is it not a problem with weapon supplies? I think military aid is vital. Otherwise they wouldn't ask for it.
We are in the third year of war now. It needs to stop. It's as simple as that. Let's just do everything we can to stop it.

Give the residents of Moscow a week to pack up and leave then nuke it :)
No that sounded fun but a but too similar to something else of recent history so scratch that,

The invasion has to be booted out of Ukraine without delay, anything else isn;t going to stick. After that, it's down to the Russian people to change the direction of the leeadership.

Otherwise we can go for some crafty engineering, Putin Undermined Through Incredibly Nuanced Sudden Unexpected Catastrophic Kremlin Subsudence

Also ; it might be being attended by many Ukrainians who live and work elsewhere, like we travel all over the World to work

Ukraine will not call an end to fighting as they've been invaded. We can all ( rest of the World) assist , but we can't fight for them. They have to do it themselves. It will go on for a long time , until putins dead. He won't back down.
We have - like it or not- another Cold War, in effect

Yes. The war needs to stop first then we can act and get rid of Putin. It will happen, I'm sure.

I know Ukraine won't call an end to the fighting. And I agree with them. No one should sit down at the negotiating table with Putin.
We need to assist. We need to assist a lot more. A lot more can be done.

The master 'end it in 24 hours' plan resurface again, doeesn't look much different from the original idea other than having a load of extra pages added which apparently have more detail, might give it a look but TBH the whole premise of freezing the conflict on currentlines before negotiations can begin does sound remarkably similar to the Russian demand...

Includes the threat of cutting military aid, which would mean they fight with anything they can get their hands on and/or get to work

Yak-52 - a propeller driven training plane - presumably with someone in the back seat with a shotgun... first time I saw this I had thought it was a one-off stunt, looks like they will keep at it until the thing falls apart!

Now we see a bit more of the implementation of the security agreement that Putin and Kim signed, DPRK is sending military engineers to assist Russia

And with a strong suspicion that for a significant proportion of them, Putin's intent is not to use their skill set but to dump them at the front as cannon fodder.
The non-specialist units expected to follow willl definitely just be dumped at the front as cannon fodder. No idea if this will make any difference to Kim.
