Well I’m out this month as I’ve not ovulated! My last period was almost textbook! God I hate pcos!

Do you take any medication?
I also have PCOS. Have been on clomid (3 cycles) amd letrozole (2 cycles) and had a positive pregnancy test last week (after about 1,5 years of trying)
PCOS is a witch indeed. But it's quite treatable with the right medication.
Definitely go see a gynaecologist if you haven't already. They can help you further.

Well after months of waiting the fertility dept near us has opened up again to new patients, so have our first appointment on a couple of weeks. Although not sure what it’s going to achieve, maybe give us some closure if we find something so stopping me getting pregnant...

Can't you get a second opinion? Surely if you're already diagnosed with PCOS, it doesn't make sense to TTC for a year first?

Yes I might ring the doctors and see what they say! That’s what I thought, seems silly to wait a whole year. And congratulations on your BFP!!

Hi all,
I posted the other day worried as the nurse had told me my progesterone levels were low and I needed to make sure they were retested. I asked another nurse the next day and she told me the previous one shouldn't have said that as they were meant to be low at that time and had stressed me out when it wasn't needed.
As it was the weekend on my day 21, I had them done on day 20.
I know I'm being stupid here but could someone who has done this help me make sense of this. The receptionist seemed a bit flustered and repeating things. She said they were okay which is good but I wrote this down as she said it
Progesterone 46. 5 and perameter 11-81
Is that okay. Can't seem to make sense of it online and wasn't sure if they were the right way around.
As I said I know I'm probably being stupid, but this was my first month with the bloods and swabs and the receptionist was in a rush so I just wondered if anyone here could help me with that. Thankyou X

Those of you who have had a MC before, how long did you wait until TTC again? I had a MMC at 8 weeks pregnant 2 weeks ago. My body feels okay now and im no longer bleeding or cramping but emotionally I’m still all over the place - ok one minute, overwhelmed with sadness the next, then angry, then guilty, then ok again! I know it’s very early days and hopefully my emotions will calm down a bit soon.
My partner and I really want another baby (our daughter is nearly 7 and im getting conscious of the ever growing age gap!) and he’s said let’s try again on my next cycle (if I want to). I do want to but I’m terrified of going through all this again so soon. This was our first MMC and hopefully our last but I just feel very anxious about the same thing happening. Obviously though even if we start trying that doesn’t mean it will happen straight away - we were fortunate last time it happened within 3 months of trying but may not be that lucky this time. Have others started trying again as soon as you can or have you waited a while?

I would phone and ask to speak to the doctor. The receptionist only reads out what’s written in the paper by the doctor. I had to do similar with my results as wanted a proper explanation and what it meant for us

I waited two years - just started trying again now. More to do with the horrific experience I had with the hospital rather than my body recovering etc

I had a mmc at 9 weeks in November. We didn’t try the following December as I was recovering from a womb infection, however was advised to skip a cycle and wait for the next one anyway to help my body recover and help with dating if we conceived.
we started trying again 2 months after the mmc in January. I think the mental toll of the loss and like you the age gap (my sons 6) I wanted to try straight away because my body just felt empty. Personally I’d just do what you feels best for you. It’s okay to wait and spend time to recover, and it’s okay to try again when you feel ready. Sending you so much love.

I had a miscarriage last May and conceived again in November. We didn’t try for 6 weeks after the miscarriage as I’d had surgery and it was all a bit traumatic. Started trying in July and like I say, conceived in November.

I know it’s scary trying again. I haven’t found the anxiety easy to live with and I’m still terrified something will happen with this pregnancy. Trouble is, if you let fear take over and you never try again then you’ll always regret it.

My consultant told me to wait for 2 periods after my miscarriage. For some people that’s ages and for some it’s not long enough. I think you have to go what you feel is right for you x

I had a MC at the start of August 2018, I got my first period last few days of Sept and started trying again straight away. Around 6 months post MC it started effecting me mentally a lot so we were a lot less active as a result.
We’re still in the ttc process, it just hasn’t happened for us yet.
It’s totally normal to be apprehensive about another MC, take your time to decide if you’d like to try again or wait a while and make sure you’re being kind to yourself

Has anyone been told their fsh is high ?

Mine was high and I’ve been retested today. It can mean that ovarian reserve is low I think.

They said the same to me but I requested an appointment anyway to discuss. I had some questions I wanted answers to and it turned out our next option was to be referred to the fertility clinic so if I hadn’t asked for another appointment I’d still be say waiting.

Oh wow okay that's interesting. So they will still refer to fertility clinic if they say your bloods are fine?

I’ve been down the route of applying for ivf funding and the only advice I can give is to nag nag and nag them some more.

We found the whole process so frustrating. We finally were able to apply after two years of trying. We then spent months having various tests which seemed to take forever to get the results etc. If I had my time again, I’d be ringing the GP and/or ivf clinic weekly to chase them for results and push for appointments.

The emotional stress of ivf is sadly underestimated

Hi how is everyone doing?
I’m about to start my TWW. I feel like my AF week & ovulation come around really quickly but the TWW always feels like 2 years. But I guess with lockdown easing soon it will be easier to stay distracted with other things.
I’m feeling quite relaxed this month, I’ve asked my husband to hide the stash of HPT I’ve kept in the bathroom to stop early testing and didn’t bother with an OPK this month. We just DTD when we felt was right. Got everything crossed this month.

I think I've said before I've only just had my implant out.... I'm now on my third period within a month
