has anyone had any issues with coming off contraception?
My coil was due to be taken out in November and I called the doctors early September so we could start trying but was told the doctors aren’t taking them out at the moment (due to COVID) so I’ve waited until this week, called the doctors and the doctor is refusing to do them right now so was pointed to the sexual health clinic but there’s a 6 month+ waiting list

I’m at a loss of what to do and was hoping I’d be pregnant by now but the thought of having to wait another 6 months is awful
Hey sorry to jump on the thread. We aren’t TTC but hoping to be in the next few months. I naively never thought about having an issue getting the coil taken out in terms of covid. My friend had her implant taken out on Monday at her GP. Have you had any luck? Hope you get it sorted soon!

And good luck to you all got everything crossed for 🤞

They are really useful! I would honestly recommend them, tracking on the app alone isn’t accurate with the tests you can see when your LH ( luteinising hormone) is on the up which means ovulation is on its way you then hit your peak & go into luteal phase.
Also sorry if that makes no sense
I’m going to give them a go! Just had a look online and it looks like clear blue do them so I might see if I can pick some up tomorrow. Also think I need to do a bit more reading up about the other bits 😂

Do you take any medication?
I also have PCOS. Have been on clomid (3 cycles) amd letrozole (2 cycles) and had a positive pregnancy test last week 😊 (after about 1,5 years of trying)
PCOS is a bitch indeed. But it's quite treatable with the right medication.
Definitely go see a gynaecologist if you haven't already. They can help you further.
Not yet as it’s only been 4 months now - surely they can’t expect me to wait a year when clearly I don’t work as I should.

The gynaecologist I saw was only concerned about me having endometriosis and wasn’t fussed about the pcos and when I was diagnosed only a couple of years ago I said children were in the future but they didn’t offer any guidance of when to seek help!

Update - I think it is my period; it's very bright red and lighter than usual... very, very odd! This has never happened before. Oh well...
You could always get a cheap pregnancy test and double check no ? I know it’s early but if it’s unusual there’s no harm in trying.
Everything that occurs in your body in your TWW you think it’s a symptom even hunger pains 😂

A question for all of those who have used OPKs long term if you don't mind! This is my first cycle of using them as it is my first full cycle off the pill (withdrawal bleed in December and proper period 2 weeks ago).

At what point does your LH rise? Based on my last 35 day cycle I should be in my fertile window now with ovulation on Saturday. However, there's been absolutely no rise in my LH so far. I'm testing first thing in the morning and have tested in the afternoon for the last few days where the line is even lower - borderline non existent. I drink a lot of water but I've been making sure I'm not drinking anything 2-3 hours before testing in the afternoon. Also no shift in BBT or change in CM.

Does it suddenly shoot up, could it appear later than anticipated or sometimes does it not show at all?

Any advice welcome! Thank you
What app is this please?

Yes me too! Haha. I have a lot of random twinges that I’ve only noticed since ttc! And I seem to have constant tummy ache for a week after ovulation!
Yep, I hear ya ladies. I never know if I used to have these pains or not but I was on the pill so that probably stopped it anyway. Yesterday I had weird pains and kept going to the loo and felt very bubbly down below but no visible mucus. I don't know all the abbreviations but I'm due on on the 13th! Trying for second baby i should know the terms by now 😂

Don’t worry, I get some readings below 36 as well :) your temp rises throughout the day as you move around so it’s normal for it to be a lot lower as soon as you wake. Chances are you wouldn’t get a temp reading that low during the day!!
Ah thank you! I did google but didn’t find much, always good to hear of real people experiences 😊

I’m out again this month. BFN yesterday and my temp dropped today. Expecting AF tomorrow.
Been at this nearly 2 years now. Spent most of my life trying not to get pregnant now here we are 😅 the irony.
Have been referred for a hycosy. Anyone any experience?
I’ve had one, and found it fine to be honest. I took painkillers half hour before hand. And make sure someone can meet you after as I felt very dizzy.
Just depends on your pain threshold really, I know someone who was in agony with it but it was just like a smear for me and pressure.
Fingers crossed for you! It’s a good procedure to have whilst testing

We’re due on the same day! I’m so tired today too and keep feeling sick after I’ve eaten. I think I’m gonna order some clear blues, don’t trust the first response now 🤣
I’ve not used first response yet! Assuming it wasn’t great? Someone had a cheese pasty at their desk and I nearly threw up literally 😂
I’m glad I’ve found someone to share the same cycle issues with hahah

Thanks for setting this forum up! I’m new to all of this and can’t believe I never knew anything about ovulation and my cycle before! 🤣 not told anyone apart from my husband that we’re trying so it feels really nice to have a forum to learn from when you can’t ask your friends for advice. I’ve ordered some ovulation strips and started taking folic acid. Due to work and schedules we currently only have sex 1-2 times a week but looking at everyone posts we need to be seriously upping that haha ❤
I’m in the same position - my OH works shifts so we average sex twice a week. Sometimes it’s more, sometimes less. Obviously we make more of an effort if I’m in my fertile window, but there’s times where we can’t if we literally don’t see each other if our work hours totally clash!

Guys I really feel like this month is our month!!! We got a peak on our LH tests this month and began taking prenatals. I’m 5 days away from AF and my boobs are so so sore!! I never get sore boobs before AF! Surely this has got to be it?! I couldn’t help myself but take a FRER yesterdat 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 which was negative but I’m not letting that drag me down because it’s veeeery early to take a test anyway!
Finger crossed!!! I feel quite nauseas today but think it’s anxiety as I can’t keep my mind off it all!

7DPO here & ive honestly got the worst stomach pains. Don’t know if they’re cramps or pain. I’m so gassy, my poor partner is sick of me passing wind😖 Really hoping it’s not AF preparing to show early. I honestly can’t remember if this is how I felt with my first pregnancy as he was a happy accident nearly 8 years ago
good luck! Let us know how you get on x

Hi all! I'm sorry if this has already been covered. Are there any keyworkers in this thread who are continuing to TTC despite covid?

I'm a front line worker and was offered the Pfizer vaccine but declined for now as trying for my second baby. Have now found out I'm being redeployed from my normal area to another "cold" area (no covid patients but higher potential for exposure) and I'mdithering now.

Really not sure whether to defer trying and have the vaccine but they are now delaying the boosters for up to twelve weeks. This means even if I had it tomorrow I may have to wait up to 5 months before I could start trying.
So hard as once you have that desire to start trying I feel like I can't just switch it off.
I’m NHS too but not been offered it yet. I’m still on maternity (due back next week). We are going to try for number 2 in the summer so thought if I’m offered the vaccine now then I’ll be ok, but I didn’t even think about the space between the second dosage 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ladies that have used ovulation strips, I just need a little advice I feel like even my control line is ridiculously light. Does this look normal or right?
Flo says I should ovulate on Saturday I don’t see it happening in the slightest though.
I went for an ultrasound yesterday and she was like a stone no inclination that everything looked right or not I just have to wait for the gp to call me 🤦🏼‍♀️View attachment 431360
I didn't get a gradual lead up. I was convinced I was going to see a positive line but on the day my app predicted ovulation my levels rocketed, they were high in the morning on the first test and even higher on the afternoon during my second test. I thought it would be gradual but I just had one day of high 😊

Thank you 💜As far as I’ve read you should be able to see the heart beat by 7 weeks right? I know it CAN be earlier but for my own mental health I don’t want to get scanned too early and it not be there for me to worry until we get another scan.

I didn't see a heartbeat until 8 weeks (had weekly scans due to a bleed) so don't freak out if you don't see one at 7 if you book then

That's very unfortunate. I went to see a gynaecologist after about 10 months of TTC, as I hadn't had my period for 4 months by then. Felt as fertile as a panda...
Can't you get a second opinion? Surely if you're already diagnosed with PCOS, it doesn't make sense to TTC for a year first?
Even with the medication it still took me five cycles to get there.

Just took a test at 8DPO, I know it’s really early but I’ve felt SO SO nauseous like puke in mouth situations (sorry about that) and since 5DPO I’ve just not felt “right!”
Is this the start of my BFP?
I can see it, fingers crossed it gets darker xx
