Got my hopes up this month, period was late. I’m regular as clockwork. Just as I was starting to think this might be it AF showed up and put an end to that....
Chased up my referral to the fertility clinic but like everything it’s being delayed by covid, so could be another few months. Asked about paying for private tests etc but they’re not taking any private referrals at the moment because covid and it’s the only clinic in the area.
Feeling so low about it, time isn’t on our side and every month that passes I start to think that maybe it’s just not meant to be. My OH already had two kids so he’s not as bothered about it as me and keeps saying we’ll keep trying but I’m not sure I can deal with the disappointment every month. Just feels a bit lonely at the moment, if that makes sense
Hope you're okay, ttc is so lonely even when you KNOW there's so many people in the same boat. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the fertility clinic xx

Well today has been tough, I feel like there has been Instagram pregnancy announcements all day long. Mrs hinch, Ella Darby etc. One half of me is happy for all these women but the other half is uncontrollably jealous. Then I feel horrible for feeling envious. It’s a such a vicious cycle of feelings!

😞

I know exactly how you are feeling, I feel the same. On Christmas Eve several people who already have two children announced they were pregnant on my SM. Of course I’m so happy for them and it doesn’t matter what number child it is, it’s lovely news. But exactly the same the other side of me is very jealous. It’s so hard.

Hmm I wouldn't be too concerned, like its such a small window of opportunity, and whilst some sperm can live up to 5 days, that's the absolute maximum, so it may be that you were just missing your window. Have you had your blood test yet to check your baseline hormones? Usually the GP would do this before referring for fertility treatment.

Hi all,

I had my doctors app yesterday. The nurse who did my bloods was really lovely. I then went for another app and that nurse was really rude and made me feel stupid and I left feeling a bit tearful, which is a shame after I went in feeling positive.

I've got my day 21 bloods booked and another app to see that rude nurse for some swabs or something.

I have very light periods now, like 2 days max and there's not that much, never used to be like this. I will ask next time (not keen on asking the rude nurse!) as I see different answers online, some say it's fine others say it could be a problem! Anyone else have this?

Good luck all x

Doesn’t help that the feelings are quite similar (from what I’ve read) does it! I get stomach aches, bloating, feel very tired and headachey when I’m due on... but have read these can be early pregnancy signs too which doesn’t help!

I also had a random nose bleed the other day and was straight on google 😂 I am trying to be realistic and expecting that I won’t have fallen pregnant this month but it’s so bloody hard not to let yourself get carried away!

I’ve not used first response yet! Assuming it wasn’t great? Someone had a cheese pasty at their desk and I nearly threw up literally 😂
I’m glad I’ve found someone to share the same cycle issues with hahah
I got a faint line yesterday but the more I read about them the more I think it’s just an indent 😫 I’ve literally trawled net mums and google of similar posts with similar test lines and it’s 50/50 of whether they turns into something but they’re really bad for indents apparently so I don’t want to use them again.
haha oh god, I’d say your having some good signs then! I was the same in my last pregnancy when anyone was cooking bacon 🤣

Hi all, period came last night, it was early so I am now over a year and I will call the doctors this week.
I've had no hint of a positive and never been pregnant and I'm 28.i can't help but be worried even if it is normal. Are there any of you on here that had a first child suddenly surprise you after a year, after no previous pregnancy scares or anything?
I've been very positive about it with it being a new year and a whole year of hope. But when it comes I am just so miserable. I know I'll be fine later or tommorow and back to feeling good about next month, but I just can't help but think is it ever going to happen? I actually can't imagine my period not coming or actually getting a positive test. All my family and most of my friends conceived quickly and I just feel crap.

I know this is the period blues😂 and I'll be fine. But I'd love some nice stories of those over a year that it happened for all of a sudden.

I also know this is no time at all compared to some of you, and I feel awful for complaining. Just in need of some positivity today.
I’m almost 30 and in similar situation. Just trying to tell myself it will happen when the time is right but it’s hard to be positive all the time.
We will get there x

I read her blog and bought the supplements. I’m now almost 20 weeks pregnant at the age of 43. It I conceived within 4 months of starting the supplements. Good luck to you x
Amazing congratulations!!

has anyone else who’s been pregnant before experienced implantation cramps? Early hours of this morning I was so uncomfortable all around my pelvis, hips and back. Felt like my period was not going to come on but explode! I’m 8dpo and a week away till period and I’m just wondering if it was implantation. Never felt anything quite like it before. Googled the heck out of it and think I have exhausted that option 😂.

Potentially opening a can of worms here but what is everyone’s thoughts on the COVID vaccine whilst TTC? I know the advice is not to get it if you are already pregnant but wasn’t sure what it is if you’re trying.
I had mine in January as I work for NHS. I marked on my form we are trying to conceive. I had to see the resident Dr before the jab who informed me ideally I should try a month after my 2nd jab but that’s purely as there is a lack of research into the impact at present. He gave me the all clear to proceed with the vaccine and I explicitly told him we will still be trying.. I am just recovering from covid now ironically a few weeks after having my vaccine. I have felt terrible, but I would have felt 100% worse if I hadn’t had the vaccine or was pregnant and not had the vaccine.

Obviously it is a very personal decision and you need to do your research. There is plenty of reputable research out there now and like I said having had COVID I would rather limit the impact of symptoms than take a risk whilst pregnant or with a newborn. If you’re interested I am happy to send links to reputable resources.

Feeling a bit deflated as my period has gone AWOL!

I know not all cycles are 28 days, but I stopped my pill in December, had my withdrawal meaning this would be my first cycle without contraception. Based on 28 days my period would've started last Tuesday and despite having mild PMS symptoms (I've never really suffered thankfully) a couple of a spots, light cramps and a lot of bloating nothing has arrived.

I'm definitely not pregnant (I have tested).

Frustrated as I feel like I'm just waiting for my period so I can start my cycle again but now I'm paranoid I'm not going to get one at all!

OK I'm definitely out. A day early but at least I know. Most of me knew it wouldn't happen first cycle but a tiny part of me was convinced I could be pregnant until now. Ordered the easy@home ovulation tests.
I've bought these too! Just waiting for my period to hurry up so i can start using them after!

Am I the only person not using ovulation tests? I’m worried I’ll get obsessive so we’re going for every other day atm and hoping but if nothing happens after a few months I’ve said I’ll look into ovulation tests
I started using them for a couple of cycles last year, didn’t really like them and never got a peak. I started with them again this cycle and got my peak so I’m glad I did as we have time sex perfectly

Just found this thread. Im 17 weeks pregnant but just thought I'd share my little nuggets of info if it helps:
Im 39, first pregnancy, had an ectopic in February so actually 2nd pregnancy. Became obsessed with opks, i tried the ones on Amazon and thought they were crap so only used clear blue. Clear blue would say im ovulating, the Amazon ones would say i wasn't so they're crap. Clear blue are extortionately priced i do agree.
Learned from the opks that i would ovulate one month day 8, the next month day 15, the next month day 11.... so don't just start using them day 12 onwards, or at least if you keep getting the not ovulating symbol (like i was) go back a few days and start testing then.
The month i did conceive i hadn't used an opk!!my cm told me i was ovulating then took a test to confirm. Sometimes just listening to your body helps.
Lastly, i know how consumed you get by ttc. All day everyday every month it's all you're thinking about. And all you see is pregnant women everywhere and announcements every other day. I really really wish you well and hope you all get your babies.
Apologies for long post.
Congrats on your pregnancy 🥰

um.. I just took a clear blue digital and I’m pregnant. Only tested because I woke up at 2am with my boobs really hurting me. I’ve had a weird taste in my mouth the past few days but didn’t really think much of it as I’ve had that before when my periods came. So scared to get my hopes up incase it’s another chemical. Please keep your fingers crossed for us 🤞🏻
Fingers crossed for you xxx 🌈

My natural cycles thermometer has arrived - so been tracking my temperature, today it has dropped to 35.5! Surely that is too low?! It’s only day 5 of me tracking, but the others were 35.8 & 35.9! That’s only 0.5 away from hypothermia!
Don’t worry, I get some readings below 36 as well :) your temp rises throughout the day as you move around so it’s normal for it to be a lot lower as soon as you wake. Chances are you wouldn’t get a temp reading that low during the day!!

I’m going to order this now on your recommendation. I only get a period every 64 days, the dr has said I probably don’t ovulate and the period is just when the lining builds up so much it just sheds itself. I have PCOS, only recently diagnosed, but before I had my first I had regular 35 day cycles. I have just googled to see if anyone has conceived on long cycles and some people have said they conceived after ovulating on day 79 etc! Gives me a little hope, I have done some half hearted opks but always negative as I don’t know what days to test. I’m really hoping that since I get the period very regularly (as in always day 64) that means I might ovulate. Since I have the PCOS diagnosis they won’t do any other tests until they see me in fertility, I’m getting referred in April but I anticipate there will be delays due to covid. The dr seemed to think if I just have regular sex and lose some weight to address the pcos I would get pregnant but i really don’t have the time or inclination to have sex every two days for the whole cycle 😬😬😬
unfortunately OPKs aren’t suitable for those with PCOS, as due to imbalanced hormones there may not be a big enough LH surge. I have PCOS too so not sure how we’re meant to get pregnant 🤣 x
