Oh at last! I've been watching this chat for days waiting for my verification email to come through so that i can join in! Hey everyone!

You guys are awesome and you have some lovely stories! I came off Cerelle on the 28th December 2020..... haven't had AF yet. OPK's showed high fertility for 9 days from 4th Jan.... but no peak.

Started to test again this week as got excited with the Clearblue connected... yesterday was nothing, today i've got a flashing smiley again! That's like 10 days after the last ones so now i'm really confused! Tested negative on Saturday too so i'm pretty sure it's not pregnancy!

Glad your cystic acne is calming down now 😔. It’s horrendous isn’t it. Mine have been terrible, still got three bigs lumps on my chin and one on my nose, they just don’t go.

😔 It’s so hard isn’t it. Every ttw I get carried away, I imagine telling my parents, I imagine what I’d call the baby it’s just like self torture. X
You sound exactly like me! Id convinced myself I had PCOS because of how bad they were as my two sisters have it (though im already under gyne and in 7 years its not been diagnosed despite asking if I have it and being told no) you honestly don't understand how normal it makes me feel to know I'm not alone in the cyst club🤣

I'm in my TWW now I think. We did no OPKs or anything this month & im due in a week and a bit. I've been lightheaded a lot today but trying so hard to not think into it! Fingers crossed it's one of our months soon! X

Ps. This has helped my cystic acne loads! £25 from Morrisons, its a red and blue light thing, it clears it up faster than just 'waiting'

Hi Ladies, so lovely to see so many positives. I said a week or so ago I was bowing out due to my issues with folic acid levels. Anyway, I had a test in the bathroom and I am roughly coming to the end of my TWW so I thought f**k it why not what have I got to lose my dr all but told me I wouldn't conceive till my folate corrected itself more. Anyway, low and behold I got a faint positive. I'm over the moon but apprehensive as I know I already have low folate so this pregnancy will come at extra risks as I can't absorb folic acid. But i just had to put it somewhere. I have my fingers crossed for everyone of you still in the TWW!! Thank you for those who I've spoken to since I joined. It's been lovely having somewhere to discuss it all! ❤
Congratulations! ❤

On third cycle of TTC now so still early days but find it hard to think of anything else! Trying not to symptom spot this month as googling everything doesn’t help! Used an ovulation kit for first time this month and looks like I ovulated 4 days before my app predicted I would.
My sister has just found out she’s pregnant (she wasn’t trying), so happy for her 😄 but hope it happens for me soon 🤞🏼 Hope everyone is doing ok, let’s hope 2021 is our year!

It was my husband who actually suggested a baby to me😂. Although I don’t think he realised how hard it can be to conceive for some people. He conceived the first time with his ex!

flat out cook a nice dinner for you both, a nice bottle of wine and bring it up over dinner. Pluck up the confidence and say I think I’m ready to try for a baby with you, I want to come off contraception and I was wondering what page you’re on?
I like your thinking! Thank you! 💕 Its weird because you can be with someone years, go through so much together but still get nervous asking your partner questions like that. Think it's more the fear of rejection/ being told not yet...again 🙈 I'm planning to get my implant out very soon because my body is just all over the place with it and he's all for me doing that so that removes that part of the convo at least 😄

Hi all,
I dip in and out of this thread. I usually read when I'm waiting for AF, as I feel okay the rest of the month however I know its coming again so I'm anxious. When I'm feeling okay I prefer to not read about ttc, as it stresses me out a bit, I prefer to keep it off my mind if possible(though it's very hard!).
My best friend had told me she is pregannt today, she already has children and hadn't been trying long. I'm truly happy for her but it's hurts badly for myself. I feel so selfish for feeling like this.
Is anyone else here over a year in trying for number one? I feel so alone at the moment.
I’m 6 months in for number 1 so not as long. I had the same feeling when a work colleague I’m close with told me they were expecting. Of course I was happy for them but felt a stab of jealously when they exclaimed “we only did it once without protection”.
I feel like I can’t really talk to anyone about TTC as they always say “don’t worry it will happen when you least expect”. That’s easier said then done especially in lockdown with not much else going on in my life!
Anyways I’ve rambled a lot. Sending you a big hug x

What's the link with increased fat intake please? And assume walking in the daylight is vitamin D or is it another reason? I did read yesterday BMI should be between 20 and 24 ideally (slightly narrower than healthy BMI range). I'm 20.2 so I can afford to increase my fats 😂
Well lots of nutritionist say that if your trying for a baby opt for a Mediterranean diet increases the chances of conception. Bare in mind has to be both yourself and your partner. So from that I’ve increased my fat intake. The second time I got pregnant I felt that increasing my fat intake increased our chances. As that was the only change I had implemented. As soon as my loss I cut a lot of fats. I barely ate dairy before unintentionally. Also nuts I ate sparingly. I also Increased eating omega 3s and avacados. From January I’ve implemented a more Mediterranean diet I can say I’ve toned up a bit more and feel more alert. So I’ll be implementing this in my lifestyle. Since eating more fats I didn’t realise how much my body needed it. I will eat the fats I enjoy. Like chia seeds are recommended when trying for a baby but I dislike them so I would rather eat almonds.
I walk more outside during the day to get vitamin D like you say. But before lockdown I would only do that on a Sunday as I’m working most days and would barely step foot outside. I feel mentally better walking out in the day and calmer. Feels like a soft meditation. So I’ve decided on my lunch breaks I will implement a walk even for 30 minutes. So a lot of these things I’ve implemented are not only for trying a baby but for my overall well being.
I am just wondering what you ladies have implanted in order to conceive ?

I feel in such a mess.
Took us 2 years to conceive, due to male factor. We were told with numbers it’s not impossible but hard. Anyway we conceived in October, lost the baby at 16 weeks in January.
We are looking at starting ttc again, this cycle. First AF has just finished.
im 32 (33 in July) we have been told nhs help we now have to wait 2 years from January. We have enough for a round of ivf privately.
But we are both not sure if we are ready for ivf yet. But I’m also feeling so panicked that time is running out, as it took us so long to conceive first time. We have made lots of lifestyle changes, and husbands numbers improved just a tiny bit when we did conceive. So is it worth us trying for 6 months naturally first. People keep saying aswell that I’m more fertile afte a loss.
does it sound like a reasonable plan for us to try again naturally for 6 months, then rethink about ivf.
I know there’s no right or wrong. I just feel like I needed to type it all out (humour me)
Im sorry about your loss. I feel you need to do what’s right for you and your partner. It seems you have a sensible plan. I know the feeling it feels like time is running out. Just take your time to heal yourself that’s the most important so when your baby does come along you will be the best mum you can be. Wishing you all the best.

Feeling a bit deflated as my period has gone AWOL!

I know not all cycles are 28 days, but I stopped my pill in December, had my withdrawal meaning this would be my first cycle without contraception. Based on 28 days my period would've started last Tuesday and despite having mild PMS symptoms (I've never really suffered thankfully) a couple of a spots, light cramps and a lot of bloating nothing has arrived.

I'm definitely not pregnant (I have tested).

Frustrated as I feel like I'm just waiting for my period so I can start my cycle again but now I'm paranoid I'm not going to get one at all!
When I came off the pill in the summer I had a bleed straight away but it then took 48 days until I had a period again despite having all the usual pms. Once I started period my cycle is now back to 28 days. May just take a couple of weeks to adjust x

I read on another thread that if you turn the contrast down (I think) on the photo it shows it clearer? I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!
I’ve played with all the settings on the photo and that’s the clearest I can get. My mind is telling me it’s nothing but there’s that small bit of hope there until AF rears her ugly head! X

Forgot to add photo 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ovulation Predictor Kit! Haha don’t worry I was the same, I’ve only picked all the abbreviations up from hours of scrolling through forums 😂
😂 thank you. Have they been useful? I’m using the Ovia app to track ovulation but I don’t know how accurate it is and I’m worried I’m missing my chances!

I’m so confused reading through the thread. I’m not sure what all the abbreviations mean etc. We’ve started trying this month after a miscarriage two years ago. I haven’t bought ovulation sticks or anything? Do I have to have them? We’ve just been having sex when I’m due to ovulate and a couple of days either side of that date. I don’t know if I’m downplaying it. Last time I got pregnant in the first month of trying but obviously it ended in miscarriage so now I don’t know what to do.
You can Google ttc (trying to conceive) abbreviations and find the meanings or feel free to ask and we can help!
You don't have to use ovulation sticks if you don't want, sounds like you're having sex at the right times 😊

Really interesting to read others’ thoughts on this, I’m so undecided! I’m very pro-vaccine and immediately said I would take it, but then questioned more and more due to fertility. We’ve been trying for 2.5 years already and don’t want to have to wait for however long after getting the second jab before trying again.

I obviously want to get pregnant ASAP anyway, but it would be an added bonus to not have to make that decision about the vaccine.

I've literally just had my implant out last week so very new to TTC (not even in ovulation yet)... Is it awful to say I really don't want a Christmas baby? I've already mentioned this to my partner and he was a bit annoyed! 😕
I’ve also decided in my own head that I won’t be tracking ovulation next month or thinking much about when we have sex because I’d rather not have a Christmas baby. Personal preference really. If we were further down the line maybe I’d feel differently about missing a month but I know so many people who hate their December birthdays that I’m happy to avoid actively encouraging one. I don’t know if I’m alone in this but does anyone else not mention fertile windows etc to their partner? I have PCOS and I think I’m ovulating (this month at least) but also expecting to need clomid etc in next few months if nothing happens naturally (lucky enough to have private care so no waiting for referrals). I just know neither of us have an incredible sex drive as it is (mine hormonal definitely) so I don’t really want to make it more pressured or regimented than I need to right now, especially if in the near future it needs to get a bit more “scientific” process.

Is it reliable to take one early? Or is there a chance you could get a negative result, then a positive a few days later?
Yes apparently you can test negative and then positive a few days later, but better to wait till missed period for reliable results! I was just feeling impatient 😂 the test I took said something like 92% of pregnant women would show up 2 or 3 days before missed period. So I don’t think I am 😔 but will enjoy a drink at Christmas and try again next month!
