I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks so I know how you feel. It happened a couple of months ago and physically I still don't feel right. Sending a big hug x
I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I think people just expect you to be grieving and that is it but physically it’s so hard. Worse than I could’ve ever imagined. My miscarriage was also missed so I had to have the tablets on my cervix and when they said you’ll bleed heavily nothing could’ve prepared me.
I hope you had good treatment from the NHS. I had to be kept in for two nights. If I’m lucky enough to fall pregnant again we might have to consider private healthcare as I was treated appallingly

Those of you who have had a MC before, how long did you wait until TTC again? I had a MMC at 8 weeks pregnant 2 weeks ago. My body feels okay now and im no longer bleeding or cramping but emotionally I’m still all over the place - ok one minute, overwhelmed with sadness the next, then angry, then guilty, then ok again! I know it’s very early days and hopefully my emotions will calm down a bit soon.
My partner and I really want another baby (our daughter is nearly 7 and im getting conscious of the ever growing age gap!) and he’s said let’s try again on my next cycle (if I want to). I do want to but I’m terrified of going through all this again so soon. This was our first MMC and hopefully our last but I just feel very anxious about the same thing happening. Obviously though even if we start trying that doesn’t mean it will happen straight away - we were fortunate last time it happened within 3 months of trying but may not be that lucky this time. Have others started trying again as soon as you can or have you waited a while?
I had a MC at the start of August 2018, I got my first period last few days of Sept and started trying again straight away. Around 6 months post MC it started effecting me mentally a lot so we were a lot less active as a result.
We’re still in the ttc process, it just hasn’t happened for us yet.
It’s totally normal to be apprehensive about another MC, take your time to decide if you’d like to try again or wait a while and make sure you’re being kind to yourself 💜

Gosh how frustrating. Shame about the online service, I had an UTI in October and was able to online chat with the doctor and receive a prescription the same day- quicker than usual!
The not knowing either way must be so hard x
That is brilliant. I've done everything I can think of ive done OPKS - they're negative HPTs negative too. I work in a hospital so I dipped my urine to see if I have an infection brewing & I don't. If we were allowed to request bloods for ourselves I would've done that but were not unfortunately 🤣 I honestly wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy im just praying for a late BFP! X

Oh my people! I've been trying off and on for no. 1 since 2014. I have low AMH and gay to boot, so the odds are really stacked against me. This week, my donor could only do up to the 9th and I expected ovulation on the 10th so thought that'd be great timing, but no my body is still showing up positive OPKs. Just sick of it all. Meanwhile two people at work are pregnant with "accidents" :|

I generally don’t test for this reason. I know it’s an unpopular opinion in the TTC community but I’ve probably only tested maybe five times in the 2.5 years we’ve been trying. I only test if my period is late and isn’t showing any signs of arrival. Each time I’ve had the negative and my period shows up within the hour 🤣.
In previous months I've been testing super early 3/4 times every month. But this month I've made a decision to not do it and just wait for AF to arrive and I must say I do feel calmer for it. I feel much more "whatever will be will be" rather then overthinking every little twinge or "symptom". I think ill continue to do this going forward to save myself the sadness of seeing a negative test 4 times every month then getting AF turn up the next day.

If you look at America, it's your decision whether you have the vaccine while TTC or already pregnant. It's not mandated. I think the NHS is playing it safe as it hasn't been tested on pregnant women, but equally there's no reason to think it will have a negative effect. I'm definitely pro-vaccine.

Am I the only person not using ovulation tests? I’m worried I’ll get obsessive so we’re going for every other day atm and hoping but if nothing happens after a few months I’ve said I’ll look into ovulation tests
Can confirm that I’ve got obsessive this month using them! If you’re not in any rush, enjoy just “trying” without the stress.

8 dpo today and feeling a bit nauseous and have some cramping every now and then, but nothing too bad. On one hand I'm convinced this is the month, but on the other I'm also scared to get my hopes up. Because if AF arrives, I'll come crashing down.
Why is this such a rollercoaster 😔

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone 🤞❤
I’m 8dpo too and felt a bit sick this morning but I think it’s nerves in the run up to AF. I’m trying not to over analyse any twinges and cramps but that’s easier said than done!

Fingers crossed for you too 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤

Whoop I have a surge! I know it’s not meant to be accurate for PCOS (thanks for the info on this btw) but the fact I’ve had consistently low readings prior (no false positives which I think is the main concern?) and then this sudden surge (clearblue was negative this morning and now it’s at peak) plus I had a big bbt dip this morning, has got me a feeling a little more hopeful things are working as they should- I need to wait for the bbt spike as well of course as that’s the only way to know for sure but feeling positive 🤞🏼Last time the drama was all around the pregnancy testing and now I’d be bloody happy if I can just prove I’m even in with a chance!

Thank you to everyone for helping me with the ovulation testing. We’re a few days into our first month of trying and I’m quite excited to find out if I ovulate (not 100% convinced that I do as I still breastfeed at night). But fingers crossed!
If you are getting your periods again and have no other issues then you should be, I looked into it a lot as my periods took a while to return and I breastfed- no reason why breastfeeding would make you get a period back but not ovulate! It can stop you ovulating but then you shouldn’t get periods either...as far as I understand 😊

I feel you!! I'm having awful cystic acne outbreaks due to coming off the pill!! Been 6 months and it's finally starting to calm down!

P.s I cried when I seen Mrs Hinch announce shes pregnant (I really don't like her so it also pissed me off). Infact I've cried at each announcment I've seen.

Glad your cystic acne is calming down now 😔. It’s horrendous isn’t it. Mine have been terrible, still got three bigs lumps on my chin and one on my nose, they just don’t go.

😔 It’s so hard isn’t it. Every ttw I get carried away, I imagine telling my parents, I imagine what I’d call the baby it’s just like self torture. X

Thank you for this thread!

Been TTC for over a year now.
Stopped with the pill in October 2019. First months my period always started on the 16th of the month, like clockwork. They were very painful though. When I was late for the first time, I was getting really excited. You can imagine how heartbroken I was when the pregnancy test was negative and my period started a week late... My period kept starting later and later up until the moment I last had them in April this year and then nothing. Pimples galore though and mood was swinging all over the place. I honestly felt like a panda (fertile once a year)...
Went to a gynaecologist in August and got diagnosed with PCOS. In summary that means there's too much testosterone in my body which prevents the little eggs to grow and jump. So no ovulations.
Currently on clomid, which does seem to work. First cycle multiple eggs were ready to jump, so we skipped that cycle (I want a baby, but preferably not plural in one go :p). Second cycle only one was getting ready, but got my period again. Currently on 3rd cycle. We didn't see an egg, but my uterus was perfectly prepared. Had blood tests which showed no signs of an ovulation yet.
So unsure if the medication worked this time. But we're trying and keeping our fingers crossed.

TTC has been quite a rollercoaster so far. Thought I was pregnant multiple times, multiple negative pregnancy tests. It honestly sucks so effing bad sometimes :(
But I have a good support system luckily. My partner, my mom, a few close friends who know and my colleagues and manager are all so incredibly supportive. Count myself lucky.

But hearing from other acquaintances who get pregnant, seemingly without many issues can be quite depressing. I'm happy for them, but it just feels like a punch in the gut ☹
But we remain hopefull 😊

If you read this entire rant, thank you for your time ❤ And good luck on this journey, the quest for a baby can be quite hard, but I'm sure it's worth it in the end.
(Also apologies for any mistakes or errors, writing on my phone and English isn't my first language)
I’ve been told that it’s likely I have PCOS too - which is strange because I don’t really have any of the symptoms such as excess body hair/weight issues/irregular periods. But my high testosterone/ lack of ovulation/ bad periods also seems to signpost to it. Hoping that I can get on clomid and have a success🤞🏼

I’m out again this month. BFN yesterday and my temp dropped today. Expecting AF tomorrow.
Been at this nearly 2 years now. Spent most of my life trying not to get pregnant now here we are 😅 the irony.
Have been referred for a hycosy. Anyone any experience?

I’ve had one, but was under general anaesthetic so I don’t think that helps much 🤣 but she did say my tubes were very very blocked and struggled to unblock them and really had to increase the pressure, but managed to in the end 😊 think I’m glad I was asleep! Would have freaked out if I knew when I was awake!
I had one last year, its not painful like getting a smear only a small bit more uncomfortable and goes on for longer, be prepared for some cramping after. I had a bit of pain for a few hours after but nothing paracetamol can't cure! Doctor was saying lots of people get pregnant after cos it clears out your tubes....I did not. Lol but not lol if ya get me!
Thanks so much ladies. I don’t find smears too sore so fingers crossed. Will be good to get some answers too.

Haha, I did 3 months using the supplements Luisa said and nothing and so decided to spend my money on the clear blue connect this month instead. Im currently on day 3 of flashing face will report back in 3 weeks!
I also tried Luisas miracle supplements and nothing lol.
I’m back to trying cb advanced ovulation tests where you get flashy smileys then one static smiley. Also using natural cycles to temp. It’s been 2.5 years for me now. Speaking to a fertility doctor in two weeks xx

Hello all, I'm so sorry to post this here when it might not be the right place, and this may sound stupid, but is this definitely positive!? I took the bottom one yesterday and the top one just now.

I think I'm in such disbelief because I got told there's no way I'd be able to conceive... And then this. I'm also feeling nauseous on and off and my lower back is aching.

I'm sorry if this seems like fishing or something but I genuinely feel like I need another opinion before I tell my husband to make sure I'm not seeing things!

Congratulations!!

My period is due on Monday but trying to stop myself from taking an early test as I know they are not very reliable ... just trying to keep my mind busy with work etc.
