Hey everyone. It’s day 30 of my cycle and no period. I am having a freak out.
I can deffo see a line! I’m due in 4 days and had this very faint positive today too! its much more visible in person! I’m not testing again till Saturday yours lookvery promising! Goodluck!Thank you, glad I'm not just seeing thingsscary and exciting stuff xx
My period came back 5 weeks after my emergency surgery for my miscarriage. I conceived again 3 months later. Not saying this to rub anyone’s nose in it (I’d struggled with infertility for years prior to this) but to give hope to anyone who has recently suffered a loss xxxHey ladies, still waiting impatiently for my period to come. Its a month since my miscarriage and I'm desperate to start trying again. Was anyone in a similar situation? How long did it take for your period to start again? I feel its coming but nothing to show for it just yet![]()
Thank you. I might try the clear blue, I’ve not tried them yet. Just getting frustrated in myself now. Funny how you spend your whole life trying not to get pregnant and then when you want to, it doesn’t happen. Not an ideal age for me to start trying for a first, but wasn’t in the right relationship previously, then following that needed time in my own. I Ideally wouldn’t have left it so late, but sadly was beyond my control. Sorry to hear about your MC. Lots of baby dust to you xHey, sorry to hear its taking longer than you hoped. Im 37, 38 in a few weeks and Ttc #2. I did fall pregnant in January and miscarried at almost 10 weeks almost a month ago now. Id been trying for 4 months, the first 3 I used premom OPKs and then spoke to my friend who said just buy the clearblue digital...I did and fell pregnant straight away. Are you using any ovulation detectors? I recommend clearblue obvs...I know they're pricier but they are so good! I will be using my leftover sticks when my AF returns hopefully in the next week or so. Sending you lots of love and hope you get your baby sooner rather than later. I too worry about my age...but look it definitely can happen xx
Any chance you could have ovulated later than you thought?I am now 4 days late on my period. I don’t have any symptoms and I got a negative result two days ago I’m so confused.
Going to test again tomorrow I think![]()
I tested this afternoon andI'm with you, I'm 4 days late now. Might be worth testing just in case? It becomes so all-consuming, doesn't it...
Honestly don’t feel embarrassed. Your words were exactly how I was feeling just I was too miserable to even type or express how I felt. You were courageous to share how you feel and it resonated with me deeply as it felt like I had written it. Also I guess I feel extra low this month as I also realised 2021 baby is out of the way and the way I see it it’s another year that could have been. You made me feel better as I didn’t feel normal with my thoughts. The threads keep me goingI have nobody else around me in real life that understands so I come on here and I know I have you all. I felt a bit embarrassed at my upset posts, but like you said, we all get it, we understand how painful this is. I hope you are feeling a bit better today
And we most definately do not do the most infuriating thing of all and tell each other 'just relax and stop thinking about it'. Someone was half way through saying that to me yesterday and I cut that conversation off quick!

I’m one day after ovulation we had sex on my ovulation day for the first time and I’m already reading into the cramps I had this morning when I know it doesn’t work that quick!yeah same! Not dull but more crampy if you know what I mean
I’ve also got a bit of a headache and my mouth is SO DRY no matter how much water I drink. I haaaate waiting this last little bit, you read into everything!
Keep me posted how you get on![]()
I did the same with clear blue over the summer.I wish I know!! I peed in a cup, put the stick facing down in it for 20 seconds (timed). Removed and kept it lying flat and it was just like -“hmm.. Nope”. So I’m sticking with the old fashioned lines(10-12dpo..)
Still wish I’d waited until my period is due like with my first! Though with him I’d accepted I wasn’t going to get pregnant on my own and we were just about to embark on IVF, I only did the test because I was planning a night of drinking at my friends wedding x
I totally empathise with you. I feel that everyone around me is just falling pregnant, and I feel helpless. I’m the same as you, I feel very blessed in comparison to other people but I still feel crushed.I’ve been trying to write something coherent for a little while this morning but all I can say is that if my AF turns up in the next few days it will be so shit. So so so shit. I’ve felt sad the past few months when it has but for some reason I’m really clinging onto it this month. I’m not even expecting to be pregnant as I think I ovulated seriously early and I don’t really want to test as the outcome will be the outcome if I test or not no matter how many millions I spend on tests. This will be our 5th cycle, 2 were “trying but not trying” and I know I’m in the luckiest luckiest position in comparison to some but somehow it still feels like the most crushing feeling. Anyhoo my heart goes out to everyone feeling it right now no matter what your circumstance, it’s alllll shit.
I am also another advocate for the CB ovulation test - obviously more expensive but I found them much easier and I liked the smiley facesMine look exactly like yours pre peak, really low readings. Think I may take myself off to Tesco to get the CB ones this evening.
I also like that you can do it in the morning first thing and then not have to spend the rest of the day making sure you’re not drinking 2 hrs before etc. I think I would find the little flashy face reassuring too as like you say, at least you know something is happening.
Well this is lovely, in a sad kind of way, as we are going through this. I'm glad my words made you feel a little betterHonestly don’t feel embarrassed. You were courageous to share how you feel and it resonated with me deeply as it felt like I had written it. Agreed. You just think its gonna happen when you want it too.I really wish there was more advocation for real education on fertility, women’s reproduction and trying for a baby etc. I feel all of us have a similar story where you don’t realise how difficult it can be to start the road of having a baby.
I get the worry of teenage pregnancy but shoving teenagers on hormonal contraception for years until they want children isn’t the answer
When I was 16 I was on the pill but I think I'd missed one or took it late or something. Had sex with my boyfriend. I literally panicked so badly. Was sure id be pregnant. I went and got the morning after pill as well! Paid for it in asda. No idea if that would even do anything but I was young and under the impression you got pregnant very easily and that one missed/late pill would have left me pregnant and completely panicked and wanted to stop it happening! How sillyThis! I have spent my whole life trying not to get pregnant and it’s only now I’m learning so much. There’s so many things I just didn’t know. I was under the impression that if I miss one pill I will instantly get pregnantobviously I know it *could* happen but some real education is needed on what we’re putting in our bodies and more about fertility and conception IMO.
I will never go on the pill again! I had bad periods so the doctor offered me the pill when I was quite young. It did work for that, and obviously for contraception later on, but they never told me anything about it at all.Yes! Like in mean girls when they’re like DO NOT HAVE SEX, YOU WILL GET PREGNANT AND DIE
It’s ridiculous that you have to seek the information you need! I had to explain to my husband after I googled the phases of the mensural cycle just simple things that we just aren’t made aware of properly.
Same as things like miscarriage, stillbirth, secondary infertility - so many things that you don’t realise are so common but never spoken about unless you seek it out.
I would never have gone on the pill knowing the health issues it creates. Esp the risk of blood clots etc and I feel like even when i went for blood pressure checks with the nurse theh never said oh if you’re thinking of TTC then maybe it can take 1-2yrs for your cycle to settle.
