Hey Ladies,

Yesterday I used the clear blue ovulation sticks that detects 4 fertile days. Yesterday it showed a flashing smiley face high fertility. Today it’s shown a circle. I am on day 8. My period lasts for 5 days.
I will test again tomorrow but this has never happened before. Usually I would get a flashing smiley face for 1-3 days and then a static smiley face. I’m totally confused.
I would keep trying for a few more days and see if it rises again.

was yesterday the first day you used it? Perhaps it’s just noticed a dip in hormone so will regulate tomorrow?

I feel super crampy this morning, and have done a little on and off yesterday. Anyone else had this after ovulation?
Yes! The nausea is back again today and I have a banging headache 🤕

@JLXRD i never got a positive on premom i had to mark it myself which was a total pain because you want it to do it for you, and take the guess work out!
I think CD22 was your peak, esp if confirmed by CM. the good thing is that the CB digi lines up with the flashing face on CD19 a few days before the peak by the sounds of the cheapies.
It could be that CB didn’t find the hormone enough to push it over to peak but the LH surge was strong enough on the cheapo sticks.

The other option is that your body is doing the right things, has/or (is) gearing up to ovulate but if you have thrush, perhaps sometimes being unwell can delay ovulation too?

It’s tricky being in no mans land, but I would say the positives are that the cheapos have picked up a surge, and the CB digital also picked up a surge enough for it to change over

Oh I’m sorry for your loss
I would keep testing, perhaps after the MC it’s taken a while for your cycle to get back into its rhythm, I’ve heard of many a person ovulating on CD22 for example. I would keep testing so you don’t miss the surge 🤞🏻 You can of course not ovulate on a cycle too but I’m not sure how that works!
Thank you! Yes will keep testing 🤞🏼Yes perhaps it’s just my cycle isn’t quite back to normal yet!

Hi all, I am just about to start TTC, I’m 28 and haven’t been pregnant before. I stopped taking my pill yesterday.

I’ve been having a little read through and lots of your posts have been super helpful as I think I was quite naive to it all and figured I just stop taking my pill and hope it happens.

Am going to get some of the pre conception vitamins tomorrow so thanks to those who recommended them.

In terms of the ovulation tests and tracking things, should I start using them right away? Or would you all initially just hope for the best and if it doesn’t happen after a few months start tracking? Sorry for all the questions x
I stopped taking the pill in August ish last year. It took way way longer than I thought for my periods to come back and even since they came back they’ve been all over the place. We’ve stopped trying not to get pregnant and will see what happens rather than actively trying every month. It’s taking way longer than expected though😮

Lurker here - hi everyone! :)So basically I had pinky brown discharge a week before my period was due the Saturday just gone (and light cramping in my stomach for days and tender boobs which I never get before a period ) .. took two clear blue ultra early detection tests, one Sunday and one Monday both negative after the 5-10 minutes but an hour later showed faint blue lines.. I know they are supposed to be invalid after the time period but reading other ttc forums people are saying mixed things and I'm just so confused I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience this? AND your gonna think I'm daft but I bled quite heavy on Tuesday - looks like I've come on 4 days early but then I've read stories again that implantation bleeding was heavy for them?? I am just losing my mind. I'm just holding to any hope really.
I think it’s difficult as blue dye tests are known for evap lines esp after the time period allowed. Try a FRER with FMU!

I’m on a similar boat as I was bleeding like implantation nut I’ve had a negative test so am trying to rule that out. Implantation is different for everyone so I would try a test and go from there x

Thanks all, I guess I might as well just try whenever to begin with but I just don’t want to get my hopes up for x amount of time when it’s not physically possible if that makes sense.

Good to know it could be though, grumpy I see what you mean about dating it being a pain though!

And dipdab i agree, I feel a bit silly for all those times I panicked when I took my pill a few hours late because having read a little bit about it now I realise the chances were super slim! I guess it helps us all be careful though when we weren’t ready, just shocking when you realise the second you stop taking you won’t immediately get pregnant!
There a thread for post pill cycles which might be worth reading, I agree it’s so frustrating not knowing what could happen and the times you’re lead to believe that one pill missed would end up in pregnancy!!

good luck. I have read many times people get pregnant straight off the pill as it’s the first ovulation for a long time so it’s not impossible! You’d likely be able to get a clearblue indicator test easily to show how far you could be. It’s just a case of how long you might be getting jiggy with it until you ovulate!

So sorry. Implantation could be late - it’s really hard to be in limbo but keep those fingers crossed.

Ladies talk to me about OPK’s. I didn’t want to use them initially but I feel it’s a good way to see if my body is working. I’ve bought one step strips and the clear blue advanced digital with 20 strips.

Any hints or tips? ❤
I’m now day 12, tested yesterday and today... no flashy faces so far 😔

My withdrawal bleed ended Sunday and now I’m just very impatient about being in limbo, just no idea when I will get a cycle and not sure what to do as who knows when I will start ovulating - well aware it could be months 🙁 don’t want to get my hopes up if there’s no chance at the moment so I have decided to buy some opks just so I can hopefully track when I start ovulating again.

did any of you guys do that before you got your first period after stopping birth control?
yes I did, I come off the pill November 20 and luckily fell pregnant within 6 weeks.. sadly ended in miscarriage-I used Superdrug’s own OPK a and this worked for me! 🙌 fingers crossed for you xxx

Morning everyone, I really need some advice now as I’m driving myself mad 😥 done my last first response test this morning and again a faint line, abit darker then it has been. HOWEVER if I was really pregnant this should now be a blazing positive?? Each time I have done a frer I’ve had a faint like and they have all come up in the 3 mins. I’m beginning to think if these are now just part of the tests? Im trying to think surely not as I’ve had these for the past few days... but I now it now should be getting darker!! I remember when I reheated FRER and a line was a line! 😓 arghhhh I really want AF now I’ve had enough xx
Sorry you’re going through this, I can only imagine how stressful and frustrating the whole situation is.
I can recommend the clear blue early detector test, I got a clear result very quickly and from what I’ve read they aren’t considered too bad for evaps. Sending you a big hug and hope you get some answers soon 🤞🏻 X

Really wish the apps (Flo etc) would alter after you put in you haven’t ovulated the day they predict. It predicted my ovulation for CD15, I’m CD17 and have logged my negative OPK results. Still now when I got to use it, it’s all like ‘you are 2 DPO, you should expect to feel this way, test in this many days’

Well no Flo hun I won’t be testing bc I haven’t ovulated yet have I 😠 or the last few days it was like ‘oh you’re super fertile right now’ again... I’m not but cool thanks for reminding me.
Correct me if I’m wrong but clue does do this! Apple health and easy at home don’t.

Hi everyone, I hope nobody minds me posting this here - my period is just a day late so I took a test on the off chance just now - I *think* I can see a faint line but I think it might just be my eyes! It looks blue in real life... I was just wanting some of your opinions. I won’t be offended if you can’t see it 😊

oh no I’m so gutted for you💞
It sounds like a chemical to me, you wouldn’t really get faint lines without any hormone present I’d have thought?! Let alone all the symptoms too! Wishing you all the luck for this next cycle ❤
I’m doing Ok - I’m not due til Friday so won’t test until then, felt super crampy this morning but who knows! 🤞🏻
That’s what I thought too! Thank you lovely! Got all my fingers and toes crossed for you, lots of baby dust sent your way Xxx

Why is the tww the longest 2 weeks ever?
my first post on these ttc threads but ain’t it just! 😩 we’ve ‘only’ been trying for 8ish months,I know that’s nothing compared to some of you. How on earth did you find the will power to wait?! It’s so hard! I’m sure it gets harder every month!
