I think I can feel my period arriving 🙈🙄 I literally had a tiny window this month with my partner working away.. annoying.

What’s helped me a bit, is listening to that podcast and listening to the fertility dr. It really brings me back down to Earth after emotionally spiralling. Sometimes you beat yourself up about drinking coffee, having a glass of wine, trialling all sort of supplements, thinking shall we try the sperm friendly lube, throw money at a fertility monitor!! He speaks sense and makes you realise they aren’t everything. Sometimes it just takes longer.. the most important thing is having regular sex throughout your cycle not just when you think your peak is, as it could be completely wrong and you’re missing it. I know it’s not ideal, but it did help me and stop me blaming myself.

Me and my husband have been undergoing tests for unexplained infertility. He had to do a semen sample and I’ve had a blood test and today went for a pelvic ultrasound. The Dr who did the ultrasound said that everything (womb and ovaries) looks healthy and as expected and it looks like I’m ovulating. I’ve got to call for the results in a week and then dependent on results may be sent for more tests (they can’t see my Fallopian tubes using an ultrasound for example)

BFN this morning ☹ Still no AF but assume it will appear at some point today.
My partner and I had stopped trying so intensely at the start of the year as I started a new job and wanted to focus there for a while, and we just decided to not prevent and see what happened. Really was hoping I wouldn’t have to go back to tracking and OPKs as it caused a lot of stress (as u all know).
Luckily I’m off work this week to enjoy the sun and I’m going to allow myself a day to feel sad and eat chocolate then get back on the horse as they say 🙁

Finally got AF after 36 days and feeling horrendous. Last months cycle was 35 days. Hoping that this isn't going to become a thing. It feels too long to wait each month.

So sorry love, it's awful being stuck in limbo. Hope you get an answer either way soon 💕
Thank you lovely! I guess I’ve got to look for positives in other areas of my life.. I’ve got a job interview on Monday to hopefully get me out of a job I’m really unhappy in🤞

AF finally rocked up! I’ve just bought some ovulation strips which turn up tomorrow - any tips for using them? I can’t pee in a straight line, so I’m going to have to dedicate an old glass to the cause 😆

So that test I previously took really was a false positive. Confirmed ovulation now and in the two week wait. Don't feel too hopeful because I didn't BD much around ovulation as hubs was away. Fingers crossed anyway 🤞🏾

I wish I'd kept it quiet too. I have a friend who is planning on trying for a baby in a few months and has been quite dismissive of me finding it tough but also says it'll happen straight away for her. So I'm here trying month after month and she's planning for her baby like it's a sure thing and a fixed date, talking about things she needs to buy and that kind of thing. I just wish I'd never ever discussed it with her 😭
what makes her so sure it will happen straight away for her?

Morning campers, how are we doing today? 7DPO for me and the cramping and backache are in full force. I’m hoping for some spotting in the following days, though I’m hearing that not everyone gets implantation bleeding.

I’m trying to stay positive today. I’ve put on my comfiest summer dress and favourite perfume, and I’m going out for a walk in the sun at lunchtime I’ve decided.

hope you’re all ok. Here for a chat if anyone needs it x

CD20 for me, no idea when or even if I’ve ovulated or not as we’ve agreed not to track anything before his deployment.
But today I’ve had some pinky/brown spotting (sorry tmi) but I’ve never spotted before between periods. Even the times I’ve had 80+ day cycles.. (the joys of PCOS)

So just a bit confused and my little head is overthinking everything, if we were lucky would this be too early in my cycle to be spotting for possible implantation? Got myself lost in google searches saying all sorts so just wanted some advice!
I can’t imagine not tracking - you’re doing so well! Spotting can be either implantation or period, so you’re best waiting until your period is supposed to arrive. Do you know when that is this month?

Hi guys!

Long time lurker here! Finally thought I would join as we are in the early days of our TTC journey. It’s only the 2nd cycle really, 1st cycle we could have tried harder (we had a lot on that month)

I am using the easy@home OPK’s so have a couple of questions…
1. Do you stop testing once you’ve had your peak?
2. When is the best time to DTD? On the peak day itself or after? or is it best to just regularly do it 2/3 days throughout the cycle?

I am currently only around 4/5dpo, had my high/peak 15/16th of June but feel terrible! I must have picked up some sort of bug which is not helping my symptom spotting. I have on and off stomach cramps and twinges as well as on and off bouts of nausea and headaches! The timing couldn’t be worse!

anyway looking forward to the advice and going through this crazy journey hopefully resulting in BFP! We are newly married and has to postpone our wedding throughout covid therefore feeling like we couldn’t try for a family so now we are more than ready 😊
Welcome!!
I test BBT and LH throughout my cycle, though not LH during my period. It gives me a good overall picture of what’s going on.

As for DTD, there are various opinions on this but it seems like doing it every couple of days works for a lot of people.

hey lovely!! Yes it’s very normal to feel upset, I think I felt more upset in the first few months of ttc than I do now a year later 😂just because you expect it to happen easily!
cycle length can vary month to month so I wouldn’t be too worried if they have gone down by 2 days unless your luteal phase lasts less than 11 days.
this thread has been a lifeline for all of us so rant away on here and I hope you get your BFP soon!
Glad to hear I’m not just being over sensitive and fingers crossed not much longer to wait for you!!

My cycle lengths have been 39, then 32, now 30 so hoping it’s my body getting back to normal after being on the pill!

Hoping that this is our month now that we’re back home in routine and I can track more accurately

AF is due tomorrow but I’ve had no cramping (which I usually get like clockwork). Did a test at 11 DPO which was a BFN but had waves of nausea last night/this morning so hoping it means something! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello, I am fairly new to these threads. I am 2 months into trying and have not fallen pregnant. I am a 26 year old and my Flo App says im ovulating but i get BFN. Last month i tested BFP (happy times) and then my period came (had a chemical pregnancy). I am really unsure what we are doing wrong. Is it positions, is it the vaccine? i took the moderna vaccine and my periods then on have been weird. I would love to bring a baby in the world but it really sucks when it doesn't happen on our first try. We also notice right afterwards, a lot of sperm comes out but we try to save it and put my legs up...sooorry for graphic i have no one else to run to about all this...

(also, how to relax and be stress free? help an anxious girl out lol) is the foods im eating? i eat so healthy, red meat and chicken, one coffee a day, work in a low stress environment...i simply have no words for myself. honestly feel like a failure. we have no idea....i have no idea,

I am a mess...thanks..
Welcome 💕 there are so many positives here for you: you're only 26, you eat well, you're avoiding significant stress and too much caffeine. You're already doing everything right and you're in a great position to be TTC. I know it's hard to accept that you don't conceive for no reason, the logical bit of my brain keeps telling me there must be something wrong but it really is a bit of luck alongside having enough sex etc. If you're finding it stressful, maybe try a month of no tracking and just have sex 2-3 times a week? Wishing you lots of luck anyway, you'll get there 😊 and I know it's far easier said than done but please don't be so hard on yourself, you're not failing at all.

Would be so much easier if we could see! I hate the waiting, it just drags doesn't it. Really promising that you've got no sign of AF though 🤞🏻
The waiting drags on and on. I think I ovulated 4 days after I had sex because I felt some pain on my left side. Which makes me believe I am 11DPO (weird and confusing I know) but still coming back negative is so disheartening like 😔

Hello and welcome 😊 my period is due tomorrow and I think I'm out so I'm the same - just wanting it to turn up so I can start again. I hate this bit, waiting around!

Hello and so sorry to hear about your miscarriage 💔
I've only used the Clearblue digital ovulation tests, I haven't used the fertility monitor. The instructions do say to test first thing in the morning but perhaps your LH surge was later in the day so that's why it wasn't picked up? Try not to worry too much anyway (easier said than done I know), it's most likely just the tests being funny.
That’s strange because all other tests say not to use first morning urine don’t they. So confusing!
Hi everyone, we have just started our TTC journey after I came off contraception at the beginning of the year. I have been tracking cycle and CM both on Flo and Ovia for comparison which are already showing completely different ovulation dates.
Am I best keeping track with apps, or should I purchase ovulation sticks or focus on CM changes?
I'm 37 and have never TTC before so unsure what to expect.
Personally I think if you’re having sex often, your cycles are regular and your confident in knowing where you are going by your CM then don’t bother with the sticks. I’m going to lay off them a bit now I know I’m definitely ovulating. It was fun at first but I think it gets a bit addictive and obsessive but not all that necessary unless you really need to pinpoint your surge day.

ETA: maybe try temping. The thermometer is a one off purchase and no peeing in pots involved! It’s good to predict and confirm ovulation as well as AF and indicating if you might be pregnant toward the end of the cycle. Femometer looks for implantation dips.
