Does anyone else find themselves wishing their life away when TTC?

This is the first month of trying after a missed miscarriage in August. I was wishing my period to hurry up and get over with, then wishing the days away to get a positive opk, now wishing the days of this tww away…🙈 I think I’m about 4 dpo but it feels more like 4 weeks!

Sending you all positive vibes and baby dust. I know how awful TTC is and there have been so many times I have wanted to give up. It’s taken one surgery, 19 months of trying, 2 failed ovulation inductions, injections that felt like they were never ending and too many scans to count but we finally got that BFP.

So…I just found out my brother in law and his fiancée are expecting their first child. It was written in a Christmas card to me and my husband and I instantly broke down in tears when I read it (my B-I-L and his partner weren’t present, my husband brought the card home with him from visiting his brother), so it was just my husband present. My emotions were uncontrollable, I’ve never burst into tears so quickly.

I felt so guilty and selfish afterwards for my first emotions not being happiness and excitement for them but sadness for me because that’s what I want more than anything. They weren’t actively trying which knowing that made it harder for me. Of course I am so happy for them and it will be lovely to have a baby in the family but equally it’s a tough one to swallow. I know I’ll be fine and I’ll get over the initial shock. It was an unexpected surprise to the whole family so I can be forgiven for being shocked but I can’t/ don’t want be feeling upset or that constant feeling inside of “I wish it was me” when there’s talk of the pregnancy or the baby with the in-laws or feeling almost jealous of them being in the situation that I would love more than anything to be in. 😔

Please tell me I’m not the only one who has felt similar?

Sorry to hear that @GlennCoco ❤

CD48 for me and I *think* 6 DPO if I'm interpreting my OPKs correctly. I can't even bring myself to get my hopes up but we've tried everything this cycle. 🤞

I am really upset today. I feel like someone’s punched me in the gut. Was chatting to a friend randomly and she was saying how she will start trying again in the new year and complaining about an issue she had limits her amount of babies she can have in the future.she’s been pregnant twice in the time I’ve been trying. Now i haven’t told her we’re trying because honestly she won’t understand and I feel like a failure . No one can unless they are in our shoes. I dunno why this has hit me so hard today but I know she will get pregnant again immediately and it’s gonna hurt so much ☹ And then I realise I’m such a lousy friend! ☹

I’m between 2/3 dpo but tbh we didn’t really put much effort into trying (only DTD twice, the day my test peaked and day after). I was mostly just happy to be ovulating.

I ended up going out last night and having quite a few drinks but I don’t feel bad tbh because I’m about 100% that I won’t have got pregnant this month.

I’m also just trying to have it not consume me or stop me from living my life anymore for the next few months. Husband and I have agreed that next cycle I won’t do ovulation testing and we will just make an effort to DTD every other day at least. If by next year we are not pregnant again I’ll go back to testing and temping but I just need a good chunk of time where it’s not all I think about.

My sister just announced her pregnancy. Just married and presumably successful on their first attempt.

My first emotion was sheer jealousy. I don't think that showed on my face. Of course I'm happy for her but I feel like I've been kicked in the chest.

I cried in the car for 45 minutes.

I'm a horrible person.
youre not a horrible person. I promise you we have all gone through that gut wrenching emotion of delighted for them but devasted for yourself. Let yourself cry, take distance if you need it. ❤

Thanks guys! I promise the test is more obvious in real life. I'm quite surprised it worked because I took it about half five this evening. I did a cheapy one this morning and thought I could see something, so I went for a "proper" test after work.

I'm a bit worried now because I'll have to go for an early scan to make sure it's not molar like my first one. Sod's law that we've managed it this time, because I got my positive test for my molar pregnancy in November that year, and my due date will be similar to what it would have been had that not gone tits up. So my brain is telling me it can't possibly go right this time. 🙄

Anyway, positive pants on! Time to be optimistic!

Looks positive to me @fishsticks 😍

woken up with horrendous nausea, someone please remind me that 7DPO is far too soon to be having symptoms and it’s likely because I had a kebab for my tea last night 🤣

Hey everyone,

Looking for some support really! I've had two chemicals and been devastated by them. I had mild symptoms with the chemicals, cramping, headaches, etc. Nothing severe or like the below. Didn't get positives until 12/13dpo with them. My husband and I have continued to DTD actively ttc until this last cycle. I'd given up tbh.

We've maybe dtd 5 times this month? I didn't track ovulation, but if I was to guess maybe 10/11dpo judging from my cycle days?

I've had sore boobs, not to touch, but they've been throbbing I guess? I've felt sick but put it down to being anxious. Burpy but put that down to lemonade... Sore back, put that down to swimming. This morning I got all angry and upset about a dress.

Potential positive test below - am I going crazy or is there a line? If there is its pink in person. Honest answers only :

Started doing my OPKs again yesterday. I am on CD15 today. The earliest I have ovulated before my loss is CD1. I’m really hoping this first cycle won’t be too long but also really want to take a more relaxed approach this month, since I started TTC I feel like wanting a baby is my main personality trait and that is just not right.

CD38, temped this morning and I still haven’t ovulated after my loss. I don’t understand why it’s taking so long. Even when I stopped my pill it didn’t take this long. I’m worrying it’s messed everything up and it’s going to take months or something 😔

I need to vent 😭😭
Still waiting for a referral to fertility but it was put on hold as my husbands sperm analysis wasn’t clear. He had it done again and it’s come back really low motility.
I really don’t know what to even think right now, with having pcos and now this all I’ve done is cry 😭

Seriously struggling today 😞 a girl in work told me she is pregnant, it’s the third person from my job in the last two weeks. I just wish it was me - I feel like I’m really pinning all my hope on this cycle. And my partner never gets his hopes up so I feel really alone 😞 I just wish I could stop thinking about it!

*CW: positive test, possibly a chemical. Talk about blood*

I'm not sure if it's okay to post my update, let me know if I need to edit/remove as I don't want to make anyone feel bad.

AF still hadn't arrived yesterday morning (cycle day 32) so I decided to take a test, it ended up being positive so I called my doctors and booked my appointments (I have multiple chronic illnesses so wanted to make sure everything was okay). By the late afternoon I noticed some light spotting and told my partner I would take the rest of the day off to rest. I got really bad cramps and started bleeding more, I got a really bad migraine, felt nauseous. I barely slept last night because of the pain and right now (afternoon) I'm still bleeding. (TMI: the blood is more red than my regular period,no clots.)
It's like AF decided to come anyways and I think I had a chemical? Like I mentioned in previous post; I'm new to all of this.
My GP was no help at all this morning, she drew blood and told me we'd keep an eye on how the weeks progress but I don't it worked this month :(
I feel pretty drained, these last 24 hours have been so intense.
Again sorry if this is not okay to post, just wanted to vent.

Hi - Newbie here.
AF is due on Friday. My boobs have been sore and painful for the past five days, I never usually have any pains at all before my period but this month my nipples feel like they’ve been chopped off.

Good luck to all those waiting and to those who will try again next month ✨
