Thanks for the new thread!
I'm having a bit of a TTC dilemma. If I got pregnant this cycle the due date would be a few days before my son's birthday. He's been an only child for 10 years and I'm worried it would make him feel pushed out. However, this is our 10th cycle TTC and I really don't want to miss one out at this stage and I feel like chances are it won't happen anyway! What would you do?
I wouldn’t skip the cycle, anything can happen. Babies can come early or late & maybe your son will think it’s the best present ever ❤

Just off the phone from my GP, she said due to my age & short luteal phase she will refer me to Gynae as she can’t prescribe me anything. I told her il go private as not willing to wait as a public patient. So just need to wait now and see what happens next 🤞🏻

I'm officially 1DPO on the first cycle where I've put any real effort into planning or trying. I'm a very realistic person anyway so I'm not getting my hopes up but I'm finding the whole process quite exciting. I'm sure that'll pass in the coming cycles 😂

TRIGGER WARNING

Hey, I am back on this thread having suffered a loss. Our baby was diagnosed with Acrania (it was discovered that it’s skull hadn’t formed) and wouldn’t survive so I had a surgical termination two weeks ago. Hardest thing I’ve ever done but it was the right decision.

My question is, when is it safe to start trying again/tracking?
So sorry to hear this. I can’t even imagine the heartache of having to go through this, but it sounds like you’re one tough cookie. Like others have said I think it’s recommended to have a period first before trying again. I hope it happens for you soon 💗

I’m out this month, got my AF this morning. Was very emotional yesterday which doesn’t usually happen for me, but I did have a gas leak so maybe I am just feeling stressed out with everything! Sending everyone else baby dust for this cycle ✨

BFN at 11dpo for me this morning so I think I’m out :(. Just waiting for AF to arrive now and then onto cycle 3. Might use some preseed next time as that worked for us last time.
If it helps I’m right there with you! 💗 I’m around 12DPO with a BFN , normally would get AF today but still no sign.

Aaaaaand AF just arrived. It’s like she knew I was talking about her 😂 trying to be positive but it’s like a punch in the gut isn’t it 😢

Hi all, I am looking to start TTC journey aged 37. Had the implant since I was 16 y/o. Don't have any children although my OH has one from a previous relationship.

I know it is quite late compared to others but I have finally decided that I want and am in a position to have a child. I hope I am lucky enough one day to carry my own.

I had planned on getting the implant out in the new year and starting fresh but after reading difficulties on this thread I am wondering if I should bite the bullet and make a Dr's appointment ASAP?

My OH and I spoke about trying for a child in the next year or so but given my age, I want to be more realistic about how easy if at all I can have a successful pregnancy and I am worried about keeping the implant in too long and missing the opportunity.
If I were you I’d get the implant out immediately & start trying. It may not happen quickly or or might happen right away if you’re lucky. But best of luck with whatever you decide. ❤

7dpo and I’m getting my usual PMS acne so think I’m out this month. It’s only our first month of properly trying but I feel like it’s consumed my life already 😩 I really feel for you all who have been going through this for much longer and am sorry if my moaning seems silly as it’s only early days trying.. but I don’t know how I will be able to deal continuing to try if I’m going to be this obsessive over everything l!

There’s still time! Big hugs xx
Don’t apologise for feeling how you feel! It’s not silly, your feelings are completely valid. ♥
It is an unbelievably stressful time, more than anyone can understand until you experience it and it completely consumes all thoughts. But we are all here for you, so vent away as much as you need! Xx

Ahh I can’t believe how many positives there are here! Congratulations to you all, it’s so lovely to see so many people celebrating happy news 💛

If there’s anything any of you did differently, please share, this month makes 3 years off the pill and I just feel like it’ll never happen for me.

I can see a hint of a line on the FRER too. The digital tests are known for needing more HCG to pick up a result so I’d maybe retest in a couple of days with another FRER and if that has a stronger line (🤞🏼) do another digital x
I just pulled apart my clear blue 😂😂 as I’ve heard you can still be positive on the test strips but not on the digital screen and it looks like this. Trying not to get too excited and will wait a few more days…😬

One of my closest work colleagues told me she was pregnant today, I’m so pleased for her and she will make a great mum but she told me that they conceived after being off contraception for ONE month. I had a cry in the toilets, gave myself an early finish and came home to watch Christmas movies. 😞
I know that feeling 😩😩 💛

Ive been having period cramps today so I think I’m out 🙃 silver lining, I can have Christmas drinks????

So…I just found out my brother in law and his fiancée are expecting their first child. It was written in a Christmas card to me and my husband and I instantly broke down in tears when I read it (my B-I-L and his partner weren’t present, my husband brought the card home with him from visiting his brother), so it was just my husband present. My emotions were uncontrollable, I’ve never burst into tears so quickly.

I felt so guilty and selfish afterwards for my first emotions not being happiness and excitement for them but sadness for me because that’s what I want more than anything. They weren’t actively trying which knowing that made it harder for me. Of course I am so happy for them and it will be lovely to have a baby in the family but equally it’s a tough one to swallow. I know I’ll be fine and I’ll get over the initial shock. It was an unexpected surprise to the whole family so I can be forgiven for being shocked but I can’t/ don’t want be feeling upset or that constant feeling inside of “I wish it was me” when there’s talk of the pregnancy or the baby with the in-laws or feeling almost jealous of them being in the situation that I would love more than anything to be in. 😔

Please tell me I’m not the only one who has felt similar?
Sending you a big hug. I spent many a Christmas wanting nothing more than a baby. Hated hearing other people announce their good news even close friends and family. It’s so difficult when you’re both happy for them but it’s also reminded of your own situation.

I think it’s okay to feel both sad and happiness towards family. I hope that 2022 is your year 🥰 I’m proof that miracles do happen xxx

Hi all. Six months TTC Baby #2 (baby #1 is almost 8 and was a got-pregnant-on-the-pill baby), and I’m driving myself demented. Currently on 14Dpo and have been wrecked the last few days and eating everything around me but to say the test couldn’t be more negative (a glowing white where a red strip could be). Cramping started earlier so probably out for this cycle but it’s frustrating that it happened SO easily when we really weren’t trying but now that we’re trying it’s not happening. Admittedly I’m now 30 not a fertile 21 year old but still! Am I delusional to hope that this cycle might be it?
Even though I'd basically come on yesterday I still tried to convince myself it was implantation bleeding until today when I became definitely out. I think there is nothing wrong with hope.
I just ordered another £30 of ovulation tests that come with pregnancy tests. Hoping October is our month after to MC this year. Third time lucky im hoping and praying xx

Has anyone been invited to a baby shower while ttc? One of my friends has one in a couple of months time and I just can’t think of anything worse right now but I feel bad for bailing. She’s aware of my TTC struggles so I think she would understand but I just feel so bad! I missed her hen do a couple of weeks ago too but that was for other reasons (my MIL is very unwell). I just don’t know whether I need to suck it up and go or if I send her a message explaining how I feel. What would you guys do? Xx
When is the baby shower and where are you likely to be in your cycle at the time? Sounds daft, but for me, while I’m on my period and already feeling fragile and hormonal, I couldn’t think of anything worse. But if I was around ovulation/TWW I wouldn’t be as bothered as I’d keep telling myself I *could* be pregnant and it might be mine we’re celebrating next. It sounds like your friend would be really understanding either way.

I caved again and took a FRER test this morning 11dpo - negative. AF is due Saturday (in 3 days), do you think I’m out?
You’re not out until AF comes, good luck xx
————————————————————

CD15 for me today and still a low on my OPK. I used a digital too in case I was doing it wrong and still nothing. Last month I ovulated on CD15 and previously it was between 12-14 so I’m just worrying that my vaccine has done something. Hopefully the next few days it will rise 😔
