Dude, if that digital test thing yells pregnant at you, you're knocked up my friend 😁😁😁

I was sooooo wondering about those spoilers! First time I've seen them. Is it wrong /none woke/ old fashioned of me to just slap down my thoughts without a spoiler? 🤔

OK, so what's the difference between a spoiler and an inline spoiler? OMG, they didn't even have mobile phones in my day, you know!! 👴🏻👴🏻👴🏻OMG, I'm so old I can't even find the old lady emoji 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
personally I come to this thread semi-prepared that I might read something upsetting as unfortunately that’s the way it goes sometimes when TTC. And even other people’s good news sometimes selfishly upsets me. I don’t expect any of you guys to use a spoiler, I just prefer to just incase somebody else isn’t ready to read about what I’m saying yet.

so I’d say you don’t need to use a spoiler if you don’t want to/can’t figure it out but it’s definitely a great feature for those who do want to use it.

times I personally would use a spoiler on this thread is:
Taking about pregnancy loss
Talking about extremely low mood/depression
Attaching an image of a positive test

purely when I would personally use them - nobody has any obligation to use it though

Hi everyone,

I usually appear around AF, when the heartache is bad and I need to talk to people that understand. Apart from then and obvious times like friends pregnancy announcements, I've kept myself okay.

But the last month I have struggled. I've disapeared off these threads a little as I'm really finding this hard. It's like the heartache I feel when AF comes is just there, lurking, at all times. I have to avoid and keep my self busy because I feel like I could cry all the time. My heart is hurting and nobody understands. I find the pain of AF hard enough, I don't know how to deal with this all the time.
The doctors have been shit and it's not been great, we are behind. I guess all that doesn't help.

What I need is if anyone at all, has positive stories. I am 18 months and half way through cycle 20 with no hint at all of a positive. Nothing. I need to hear this happened to others and it just happened for them. As time goes on this gets more and more unlikely and I think this is what is hard, the hope is going.

So if anybody with previous children, or knows of stories that can help a girl struggling, I'd love that 💖

Sending love to you all on this painful journey xxxx
Your post described everything I’ve been through. Infertility is so cruel. I won’t say too much on a TTC thread but after months and months of trying and a miscarriage, we finally conceived. There is always hope. Feel free to message me if you wanted to vent to someone who understands xxx

9dpo and just feel like I have just accepted I am out this cycle, I know it’s still early but I have some weird cramps like I’m gearing up for af and just feel moody like I would in the week before af came along.

Have made a list of things I can do once AF arrives so I don’t feel too down about it - drink a cocktail, dye my roots. All the things that during the last week I’ve been wishing I had remembered to do before i ovulated. Plus next cycle I’m hoping I will have regulated a bit so won’t be doing OPKs for 25 days before I get a peak again 😬 silver linings and all that.
Stay positive! Cramps can be a good sign rather than AF signs.

Do the things you wanna do, have cocktails, have fun and relax as best you can 😊 a friend of mine was on cycle 9 and was worried bcus she was in her 40s. She cut out alcohol and caffeine during that time, didn't have takeouts, ate 'clean' and was so disheartened it hadn't happened. So she has an absolute blow out for a couple of weeks. Stopped tracking, drank some alcohol, bit of caffeine, ate crap and the next cycle she was pregnant.

It obviously might not be bcus she had a blow out, but maybe she was able to just relax 😊

Thank you all so much for your replies! It really means a lot, I don’t feel stupid any more and it’s so so nice to know you all understand. My mind is blown that there are people who get pregnant quickly and never have to consider all these things 😆 so glad to have you all to talk to xx

Morning all, I retested this morning and got lines so I then did a digital and…

I am definitely pregnant 🥺🥺

I am so so happy and I feel so lucky, I was really feeling so low this month. Im obviously still scared and wary it could be a chemical as im only between 10-12 dpo but my temp went up this morning so I’m keeping everything crossed this works out 🤞🏻
This is AMAZING!!! Congratulations 🎊

Thank you ❤

And of course I will, however I don’t know if any of it helped as it was the first month doing all of it. It was our second month of doing SMEP, but I think we had better timing this month still.

I took 1000mg of vitamin c, b100 and b6 100mcg from 1DPO onwards as I had read a lot of success stories online that it helped to stop spotting in the luteal phase by regulating progesterone. Both previous months I had spotting and cramping from 8-10dpo. I don’t know if I’m not spotting this month because I’m pregnant or if I’m pregnant because I didn’t spot if that makes sense?

We used pre-seed. Previous months we had used conceive plus, but this month I switched to preseed as I had read a lot of rave reviews and success stories. I used the ones with the plastic tube syringes so you can use it internally before you DTD (so romantic 🥴)

I did the menstrual cup thing after DTD that was discussed here. I read a lot of success stories and it makes sense. I felt it couldn’t hurt to try. My husband definitely thought I was losing my mind (I think I was a bit) but hey! It may have helped a bit. I just made sure it was sterile and put it in after DTD, slept then took it out the following morning. Again.. VERY ROMANTIC.

The last thing is I ate mostly healthy foods and exercised every other day which in previous months I wasn’t so good at. I also made sure I kept my feet really warm after ovulation although who knows if that helped. My feet were toasty though 😂
OK, so I've politely liked your post, but seriously, for some of it 😂😂😂 Can't believe I didn't take my own cup advice this month 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Definitely going to follow in your footsteps next month!

I’m just feeling so down today.

I’ve been crying on and off and feel like I can’t stop. I should be 20 weeks today and it should be so happy and exciting to be halfway and it’s just shit. I don’t even know why I’m posting this, I just need to say it to someone. I just can’t fathom how life can be so cruel. I know I’m never going to forget it, but I need someone to tell me the pain won’t last forever and there will be a day where my heart won’t hurt quite so bad 😞💔
I'm so sorry, I've never lost a baby, but I did lose my brother. I think you'll feel bad until your "due date" and beyond. I remember being really obsessed with thinking "8 weeks ago, you were here". It's now been nearly 20 years, I now only occasionally go "18 years ago you were here" or imagine what he would be doing. Time has fuzzed up the memory a bit and other things have filled my life. Just yesterday I found a old DVD he made on our old camcorder, I held it up to my ear and just pretended he was standing next to me and talking to me.

Time will make the pain feel less painful, this is a stage of grieving, so let yourself cry, let yourself feel this way. Better out than in. If you genuinely feel you can't cope or the grief is too much, please get some help or therapy x x

Thank you for all the lovely messages 🥺❤ You’re such a kind group of ladies, I hope you all get your positives soon.

I think it’s only just started to sink in for me, I am only going to really count it as properly real from Thursday I think as that way even if I ovulated later than I thought, my period will be late 🤞🏻 but either way I would normally have started spotting by now and I haven’t so I am taking that as a good sign.

I did do a few things differently this cycle but I don’t know if they helped or if I was just lucky this cycle.

Hey all! How are we all doing? Haven't been on this thread for a while.

Thought I'd update.
This cycle #3 we decided to relax on the temping and opks.. Took a cheapie yesterday and it was negative. I have no idea where I am at in this cycle but I'm confident it hasn't been successful 😓
Next cycle, I'm back on BBT temping and OPKs... can't understand what im doing wrong 🙃

So despite what I was just saying 🤦‍♀️ OH has just had a phone call - his sample is abnormal. We don’t know in what way, he’s just been given that information and told they’d speak to him on Monday. What a great thing to tell someone on a Friday afternoon with no follow up.

Has anyone tried fertility acupuncture? I've been ttc for two feckin years now so am literally willing to try anything, clinic has recommended IUI or IVF even though we have no issues, it's just unexplained infertility, seemed like a bit of a cop out diagnosis to me. Anyway couldn't afford IVF now, have decided in my head to do IUI in September if not pregnant by then. In meantime am giving acupuncture a go, anyone else tried it? It's €60 a go so am wondering how long should I try it for before calling it a day
hey first post but thought I’d let you know as I wondered the same when considering acupuncture. I came off the pill in early 2020 to ttc but had very irregular periods since coming off. At the start of this year I got diagnosed with PCOS. I was willing to try anything to regulate my cycle and help us conceive so decided to give acupuncture a go.

After 4 sessions I got a period (first in several months) AND ovulated about 10 days after (I could tell from egg white mucus and BBT rise which I didn’t get after the few periods I had before). I am now pregnant as a result and over the moon. I don’t know if it was solely down to acupuncture but I definitely think it played a part.

Sorry for your losses ❤🌈
Yes I got a dark positive OPK like that 2 days before missed period and a positive test so could be x
Yeah I did too in February. Sadly lost the baby at almost 10 weeks.

I actually tested positive on a FRER today but I've been spotting dark brown blood for 10 days (since 3DPO) so I'm not holding out much hope that it will stick. We shall see 🤞🤞🤞

I’m on my second month of doing this plan (just finished the 3 days). Obviously didn’t work for us the first month but I’m hoping this month it will have 🤞🏻
Not even heard of this before! Going to give it a go this month. Thanks!
Good luck to you all. Also, SMEP, preseed, legs up against a wall for 20 mins, pomegranate juice, warm feet. Oh and reflexology.

Easier said than done, but try not to worry or put any added stress on yourself. I've not tried BBT so not 100% sure how it works everything out, but just remember that although we have OPKs and other ways of measuring when ovulation happens it still could happen +/- a day or so.

It's amazing you found out at 9dpo though and I'd take that as a good sign. I didn't get a positive until 13dpo and I was worried it showed so late. Unfortunately my suspicions were correct.

Keep those positive thoughts!! You got this. If it helps, keep testing for darker lines, but remember it takes something like 48 hrs for hcg to rise.
Thank you, that’s helped and I have chilled out a bit now since this morning thankfully. My husband thinks I’m being a bit crazy with all the worrying but he hasn’t read up so much and isn’t so aware of how often things don’t work out.

I know I need to be calmer. I keep saying to myself that right now I am pregnant and if I’m not going to stay pregnant then there is nothing I can do to change that no matter what dpo I am, but it’s just so hard 🥺

Hey everyone. Long time no speak. Hope you are all doing ok - I’m still here lurking a few months on 😬 I’m not sure if any of you have felt like this, but I’m struggling a bit with future planning.
Feel like I can’t make plans because if I plan something around potentially getting pregnant, I will jinx it and it won’t happen. Not sure if that even makes sense. I’m such a control freak - like my childless friends are talking about a booking piss-up holiday for next year - I’d rather be pregnant and miss it , but if it doesn’t happen for us by then, will I be kicking myself for not going? Or if I don’t go and then I’m still not pregnant is it because I jinxed myself by assuming I would be?

I think the way I’m feeling is also super selfish and shallow but I just can’t help it 😞 hoping someone will understand
I 100% understand, I have so many things I’m not sure if I should book or say yes to just in case.

But as of this cycle I’m trying to drop that and just say yes and book the things - I don’t want to feel like I’m making TTC my whole life even though I would rather be pregnant than do any of those things.

I think book it - you need to live your life in the meantime. You are more than just a lady trying to get pregnant and your happiness is important outside of that xxx

Hi ladies I had my scan today and the ultrasound technician couldn’t find any obvious lumps or cysts but said that her full report would be with my gp tomorrow morning. I’ve got a telephone Gp appointment on Thursday to talk through the steps for me. Doc briefly explained we would talk about the options of medications/ referral to the fertility department at the hospital. I’m feeling very hopeful/thankful

sending you all love 💗

Hi everyone, I've never wrote on this thread before 🥴 I'm TTC. I had a miscarriage not long ago but we are trying again. I'm due on next week and we got straight to it as soon as. I'm dreading another period and not being pregnant ☹

Thanks again all ♥

This morning I’ve started bleeding. I am so very sad but I was prepared that this would happen.

I had a breakdown yesterday on a meeting as I was already muted and sobbing, then a close colleague announced her pregnancy and started talking about baby clothes she was buying. I had to dial off. I’ve taken today off work and will probably take tomorrow too.

The worst bit was waking up this morning and having that brief moment where I felt okay, and then remembering what was happening. It’s like having the realisation all over again. Also just having to get rid of the pregnancy apps on my phone, the pictures we took of us happy with the positive test - seeing how happy we were is just so sad.

I feel like I have taken that happiness from my husband. He cried with happiness when the test was positive and now he’s never going to have that moment again because he knows it won’t always end how you hope. I can’t help but feel guilt for that. I know that it’s not my fault, but it’s so hard.
Sending you so much love.❤

I still have the photos of our positive pregnancy tests. Some days I like to look back and remember that it did actually happen and it gives me some hope that we can conceive again. I hope it might bring you some hope too eventually.

Cry as much as you want. Cry until you can't anymore. You're human and your feelings are so valid as are your husbands.

I hope you're not in too much pain. Thinking of you x

Thank you for all being so kind. ❤ Currently feeling very spaced out and empty. My husband is being amazing, we've both had many cries today.

My husband and I aren't going to talk to our family members about it just yet. They aren't aware we're ttc and I think it's probably best it stays that way for the time being. My mom keeps talking about how bad her days been and this, that and the other... I really want to just blurt it out, but she's not the most sympathetic of people.. Her day will still have been far worse.

Just playing a waiting game now to see when this stops. 😕

Yay @Lola UK! Great news! Always nice to have some hope! X

Found out last week (on our wedding anniversary 🤦‍♀️) that the second cycle of Letrozole has failed. Now time to induce a AF and then start injections instead which I am not looking forward too! I have failed to ovulate with meds twice now so really not feeling optimistic  I can't keep thinking if this doesn't work what are the options? Is it straight to IVF, which is no one wants to actually do.

It's just a lot, constantly! No relief whatsoever.
Sending you lots of love! ♥

I decided my wedding anniversary (also last week) was the best time to take a test after AF didn’t show (I’m not regular in the slightest so don’t know why I got my hopes up) BFN, was such a kick in the teeth as I thought it would be a nice present for my hubby.

Everytime someone announces their pregnancy, I get upset. Every time I see a baby I think ‘why don’t I have one’
It’s so understandable. A friend of mine is pregnant right now & already talking about having her second baby when she gets pregnant right away. I want to scream at her. And then I feel bad at myself for being so bitter!

So all looking good so far. My second blood test in 48 hours saw my HCG levels more than treble and they expect them to double. So that's positive. I have to go back in a week for a scan to see if the sac is in the right place. Im still bleeding though. 2 weeks now but the doctor that called with my results said it could just be implantation bleeding even though it started so early. So 🤞🏼. Im too nervous to get excited about it yet though, ill feel better once I see the sac but after my MC in March I think it'll be when I'm due that I'll actually relax 😂😂
Wishing you all all the luck in the world wherever you all are in your cycles right now. 😘😘😘
