This is probs very TMI, but does anyone pay attention to their cervix position/texture when checking for CM? I reckon I'm 8dpo and it seems higher than usual and softer.. I am definitely clutching at straws here so don't judge hahah!!

Hi - normally during my suspected ovulation window I get the usual mild cramping, a bit of back ache etc, but nothing too intense. This time I feel so nauseous, literally sick to my stomach. Has anyone ever experienced a dramatic shift in their ovulation symptoms before?

I had the first vaccine on Wednesday I had Pfizer, I was due on today and it’s come like clockwork as it is. But I’m so much heavier than normal. I wouldn’t expect to be this heavy until day 2 usually, has anyone else experienced that?

I didn’t realise we were on another thread for ages! Congratulations to everyone who got their positives!

Just wondering is it possible to have an extremely regular period and to never ovulate? Following on from my last post in the old thread, I don’t seem to be getting highs or peaks on OPKs, I have sex pretty frequently each month and on my predicted ovulation day and I’ve not had a hint of a positive or late period.
We’ve been trying since December but it’s still too early for me to speak to a doctor as I’m under 30 isn’t it?

I had a lot of problems with my implant last year causing bleeding for 6 months & ive had so many ultrasounds and an mri that’s found nothing so I just know the doctors will think I’m being dramatic too soon.
I had a little look into this as I took me a while to get a peak on an OPK my first cycle off the pill.

From what I’ve read - yes you can have regular periods but not ovulate, so if you’re not seeing a high on an LH strip that may be what’s happening though it may also just be that you have a rapid surge. Have you tried monitoring your BBT too? That’s a good way to confirm ovulation.

Whilst I don’t know for sure, I think if you went to your doctor with a few months of tracking showing no LH surge and no bbt rise and that you thought you weren’t ovulating they would look into it quicker as you have already identified there is an issue rather than just you haven’t conceived yet if that makes sense.

However would definitely recommend testing LH multiple times a day and failing that, doing your bbt for a month or 2 to confirm if you’re ovulating or not x

Hello everyone!

Any advice for best test for ovulation? I'm currently using the Flo app which obviously can't test and isn't accurate but I like to track everything

I've been off the pill properly for about two years now as I was single and not really sleeping with anyone. I am with someone now and I've never tried to conceive before now so it's my first time.

I've had really sore nips for a few days and also fatigue. Yesterday I had what looked like implantation bleeding, pink/brown sticky discharge but today I had what is a normal period. I've never had this sticky pink discharge before a period, it's always been a heavy flow right away and I also never had any pms symptoms leading upto this and I always do (overeating mainly)

I take the fact I started bleeding normal red blood is a sign it's just my period and I aren't preggers but has anyone else experienced this? Do you think it's just because my body is getting used to having sex all the time? Just wondered if anyone has had anything similar

Which vitamins are people taking? I started taking Co10 thanks to this thread.
I’m taking pregnacare preconception vitamins and I already took a hair, skin and nails gummy, Apple cider vinegar and vitamin d so have continued with those.

This is all positive signs! You’re not out until AF shows up! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 when do you think you’ll test? Xx
Really? I hope so 🤞🏻I really have nothing to compare it to so no idea if this is just what a cycle off the pill is for me and this would happen every month.

I am not sure when to test as I don’t know when my period is due so I’m thinking maybe 14 dpo on Saturday if AF isn’t here by then.

Thanks so much for replying, yes it would tend to be egg white consistency a week later than my peak opk result. So CB would typically show a peak around CD14 but I would have the sharp pains around CD22. My cycles tend to be 29 or 30 days. I do have a BBT thermometer but I’ve only started it the last few days. How do you know when you’ve ovulated - does your temperature remain higher or does it drop? It’s all so complex.
I’ve not used BBT so I’m not sure!
it could be worth trying to use BBT to pin point but it’s also worth reading up on the luteal Phase of your cycle (after 0) this is usually 14 days ish after you have ovulated and ends with your period if I remember rightly. So CD22 would mean if your cycle is 30 days only an 8 day luteal phase - but don’t take me for certain on that!!

have you tried using cheap OPKs along side CB? I would use CB digi for first morning urine and then I would use the cheap ones to check that my LH surge stayed low throughout the rest of my cycle. So, it could be worth doing that but cheap OPK’s are difficult to read and take (can’t be first morning wee, between 10-8pm with a 2/3/4 hours wee hold)

when you get your peak OPK on CB, what is your cervical mucus like (TMI, I know sorry!

I’m coming off the pill so my periods are over the place so I don’t know if I’m late. I just did the test now, I knew I should have waited until morning.

Sorry this is new to me I guess I just got carried away!

Still a flashing smiley and still a sick husband 🙈

on another note - my AMH is 14.10. My doctor is off now to Monday but I can’t seem to find out what that means on google? Anyone know?

Well AF has decided to visit me too - the bitch 😢 this must be the bad news page. Absolutely no idea why I got those false positives 🤷‍♀️ and a tiny bit more hope than normal. At least I have a stash of the good pregnancy tests, Action do OPKs and I will still be able to go home in August.

Our choices are now to do IUI (we don't want to do IVF)....... Or I may have googled ttc and gone down a rabbit hole........

I'm just sharing this idea and maybe asking, has anyone tried it?

Warning, I think it's a bit 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Anyhoo, I watched some lady on the internet who will get a 90 year old elephant pregnant for the bargain price of $45, she suggested :

Cut out chemicals ✅
Drink raspberry leaf tea ✅
Take Chinese herbs - wondered if it was worth paying $45 to find out which?

Then I went off piste

One lady wrote a blog post about using one of those period cups to get pregnant, it worked for her (I'm a bit 🤢 about emptying the thing). After sex, you can put the cup in to keep the sperm in place for longer. Her colleague even wore it all day at work because she couldn't have sex at the right time, she got pregnant twice, straight away! I have absolutely no idea if this is the truth or not. I almost bought one this month but chickened out at the last minute. Has anyone else tried it, or think it might be a good idea? Or is it terrible?

I’ve read about using menstrual cups to and think we will be trying this once my partners back from his training course (side note- fuming at him being away this week whilst I’m ovulating)
I read that menstrual disks are a bit easier to begin with but I think it’s down to preference. The thing with the disks is that they aren’t as reusable as a cup as you only get a certain amount of uses from them.

Been so absent on here because I've been feeling so poorly. But, the doctors were right in thinking you're more fertile in the 3 months post miscarriage 🥺 I am just praying so hard that this little one sticks as that's always my biggest issue 😣 hope everyone is doing okay.

Congratulations ❤ Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Hi everyone, just catching up on the thread as I’m new here 👋🏼

just wanted to get some advice if you don’t mind, can anyone see a second line here? I’ve just taken a test as I have no signs but I just don’t feel RIGHT. can’t put my finger on it but hoping you ladies will know what I mean!!

I don’t think there is a line but there more I stare the more I wonder if I can see one? I’m probably going mad. My partner is out, I did WhatsApp him but I’m getting impatient

EDIT: Okay the more I look there is clearly nothing there. Sorry I feel silly now

Sooo, I think my cycles have now settled back to what they were before I had my son.. 40 days 😓😓 after my MC in jan they have been 28,33,39 and I’m not on CD 33 still no AF but done a test tonight and BFN😓 do you think these cycles are anything to worry about? Just with how irregular they have been since my MC xxx

So glad they help! I’m someone who loves to know the in’s and outs and would Google away all the time 😂 but so glad you are finding them somewhat helpful.

I know CM isn’t always a true indicator of O but I found I definitely felt more obviously wetter around that time. I really liked the CB digi as it’s a very clear answer and out the way first thing in the morning but I guess the problem is O is never guaranteed unless you BBT which I didn’t want to get into.
I found cheap OPK very hectic but it did help me realise my LH surge was very rapid and did indeed tail off. It is very common for your body to gear up to O and then not do it though ☺
I had the CB digi and it broke after I used it twice! But it did seem pretty simple so I’ll buy another I think. I’d just like to know roughly when I’m ovulating rather than ovulating either a week earlier than Flo is predicting or a week later! Basically Flo is not being accurate for me at all I may as well stop looking at it 🤣

hey first post but thought I’d let you know as I wondered the same when considering acupuncture. I came off the pill in early 2020 to ttc but had very irregular periods since coming off. At the start of this year I got diagnosed with PCOS. I was willing to try anything to regulate my cycle and help us conceive so decided to give acupuncture a go.

After 4 sessions I got a period (first in several months) AND ovulated about 10 days after (I could tell from egg white mucus and BBT rise which I didn’t get after the few periods I had before). I am now pregnant as a result and over the moon. I don’t know if it was solely down to acupuncture but I definitely think it played a part.
That’s interesting! Congratulations on your pregnancy! 💛
