Hi everyone

first time poster here, currently on my second month ttc and I feel like time just drags on, but at the same time months seem to fly by! I have IBS and really struggle to DTD every other day during my fertile window as I get really intense stomach pain during intercourse. Does anyone else experience this and have any tips? Xx

I feel like a dick, my brother has just announced he’s having a baby and I am genuinely so happy for him but I ended the call and just burst out crying. I swear TTC really brings out the worst in you 😔

A few years ago my friend posted a picture of her scan on Fb, I typed out a congratulations between tears. Unfortunately I didn't see the "time hop" bit and made a dick of myself. But I was gutted that she was on her second and I couldn't even have one. I'm really thrilled for your brother, hopefully you will get pregnant soon 🤞🤞🤞

Hi all. Always been a bit or a lurker on this thread but took a step back when ttc just got too hard :( I’ve been kind of giving up recently and not thinking about it, not even tracking my periods (which in hindsight was a bit silly) and today I randomly did a test. I then did three more and they all showed positive. I was in total shock and so did two more, however the final two (not pictured) showed as negative. Very dissapointed but then I did drink a LOT of water in between the tests - could this had affected the results? Not sure what to think now!

ETA to the positive lines showed extremely quickly , even before the control line which I’ve heard is a bad sign?
When I was pregnant, it went positive AS I was peeing on it. The problem was, I couldn't remember what was positive or not so I freaked out and yelled for my hubby and got him to read the instructions. I'd say you are pregnant!!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Are you more bloated at different times of the day? Maybe you could change the time of trying? I gave up wheat and dairy, I now eat wheat, but definitely not dairy!!! 😬😬 But if you are going to exclude food groups, definitely speak to a doctor first, I regret not doing that. Good news is that my sister reported being able to eat stuff she couldn't when pregnant as the baby seemed to suck it up before it caused her problems 🤣🤣

My period came today finally after 36 day cycle. We have had a crappy month with all of us getting covid so there was zero DTD (no idea how, we literally have been no where bar golfing or work) but glad to say bye july & hopefully august!

Who wants to DTD in this heat?! I can’t cope 🥵
No one. And guess who just got a positive OPK… me 😬 (finally on CD24 🎉)

We have been doing SME plan so having to do it at least every other day anyway, it’s probs been the least sexy DTD ever in this heat 😂

Hi girls. I’ve been a long time lurker but have a few questions so hope you don’t mind me popping on :).
I’ve never been pregnant. Ever.
I’ve tried for a couple of months but last year but nothing happened and I don’t think I was tracking it properly tbh.
But this month I’m going to really try as I’m 32 now and I don’t have time on my side.
I’ve come on today and checked 3 sites then for my suspected ovulation date and they’re all different 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Can anyone recommend any digital ovulation texts?
Has anyone used the Ava bracelet?
And can anyone recommend and vitamins?
Thank you girls ❤

Hello and welcome ❤
I personally found the clear blue ovulation sticks the most helpful but they are quite expensive. A lot of people swear by the premom ones which aren’t digital but a lot cheaper.
If you aren’t already, definitely start taking folic acid if you are TTC. I previously used the pregnacare pre conception tablets too.

Hi and welcome! I had a few apps too and they all told me different things. Im using Premom at the minute & I just started using clearblue last month & they both synced up. A friend of mine conceived twice very easily but she had sex every second day each time & it worked for her so that’s def worth a try. If it cools
Down! Good luck xx

Hi everyone, I've never wrote on this thread before 🥴 I'm TTC. I had a miscarriage not long ago but we are trying again. I'm due on next week and we got straight to it as soon as. I'm dreading another period and not being pregnant ☹

Hi, yes you are getting on a bit, but please don't worry about it, I'm still here hoping to give birth before I hit 43😬😬😬 I only wish I was 32, or had managed to get pregnant at 32!!!😂 That message goes out to everyone here, I'm pretty sure I'm the oldest here, and when I had my boy, I was seriously old enough to be the mother of some of the other mums on the ward 🙈🙈

Anyway, I'd probably also recommend the super expensive clear blue predictor tests. I got some from a cheap shop and 3 have failed on me today. Cheaper ones will do though, you only throw them away!

I got a load of them and started testing this month on day 8, thinking I'd really track my ovulation but I was surprised by quite a strongly positive result - I jumped on hubby even though neither of us could be arsed. I'm really thankful we did because today the positive result is starting to fade 🧐😯. I'm seriously shocked, I really thought I'd just check every day this week and ovulate on day 14. So I'm really pleased I bought cheap tests and went ahead and tested myself with this attitude, I would definitely have missed out if I was being tight fisted with my clearblue tests 😂.

I've never bothered with an app, maybe it's worth comparing an app with your testing? I just feel the tests are a definite yes or no. Apps are written by computer nerds, hubby is a nerd & he's clueless 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Aw so sorry, I hope I haven’t offended you!
Thank you for your reply.
I did use a clear one last year but it stopped working after the first go so I’m unsure now.
See I wouldn’t know when I’m supposed to ovulate? Did I just test every day after my period ends?

Thank you so much. I’ll definitely look into that app x

Do I just need folic acid or the conceive+ ones?
I did use clear blue last year but it broke after the first go so I’m a bit unsure now xx

No offence taken!! But also, don't be afraid to ask for help after 6 months of trying (or whatever the NHS website says) I was probably around 36 before I asked for help - and got pregnant the month before we were due to start IVF! Incidentally, there's nothing wrong with either of us, I always joke that we're just "doing sex wrong" 😂 😂

You should ovulate around day 14, that's what I was going to track this month but I got a positive result on day 8. If I'd waited any longer, I may have missed it and then thought I hadn't ovulated. (and start to panic about the menopause or something 🤣🤣)

If you scroll back on this thread, someone posted a link to a blog where the lady did crazy graphs and was desperately trying to ovulate before day 20 + so we're all different.

Maybe get a load of cheap tests from Amazon or something and test every day until you feel you know your body better?
Some people also take their temperature every day, looking for a little rise around ovulation, but I just cba to do this

Sorry, I've just read that you broke something? Is that the little machine you shove the sticks in?

Definitely ask to change doctors, there is such a thing as lean PCOS where weight isn’t an issue! GPs can get a bad name when it comes to taking things like PCOS seriously and this is why. I went private with a gynaecologist to get a diagnosis which was covered under my health insurance.
Thanks! I did and the new doctor seems so much better. She’s booked me in for a scan, another blood test and said if we can’t find an answer after this I’ll have to see a specialist. She said “how do you feel about your weight” which I thought was very nice, i said everything I felt. Thanks for the support! 🤍

Hello! I used three different apps (Flo, Ovia and Glow) and each one would give me more or less the same window of 4-5 days during which to TTC. For more accuracy on which exact day I was ovulating I invested in the Mira fertility tracker - you pee on the wands every morning then stick them into the machine and it measures your LH levels and you can really tell when you're actually ovulating. It is expensive though. As an alternative you could do the Clearblue digital sticks - the static smiley is when you're peak ovulation.
I got pregnant on our second attempt (I am 34) and am currently 12 weeks using the methods above - I also did one acupuncture session and started taking Proceive, Bee Pollen/Propolis and Omega supplements. I also cut out alcohol in the weeks leading up to my ovulation. oh, and DTD every day (sometimes twice a day) for the entire window, and a bit after it. Good luck!
