I'm booked in at the EPU tomorrow morning. Had another positive FRER this morning but still very worried as still bleeding and feel quite uncomfortable down below. I had a chemical pregnancy before I had my son and that was very different. That was missed period, positive test and then what was like a terrible period. This is just spotting...well some brown blood and I need a panty liner. 🤞🤞🤞

Thanks @Louk, that's interesting. I've actually not had my vaccine yet, I'm ashamed to admit it and I feel so guilty but I just don't want to mess with my periods. They're already extremely heavy and painful. I know someone who missed 3 periods after the vaccine and that's not what I want when I'm already on cycle 10 of TTC.

I’m 7dpo today (or roughly round there, unless my body decides to go for another attempt at ovulation) I’ve been feeling kinda weird. Cramps similar to af, and pulling sensations started at 5dpo, which is too soon for anything but it’s possible I’m more than 7dpo. Ive had the odd sharper shooting type cramps. Feeling a bit waffy, this morning I felt like my whole body was jelly even after eating. And I am SO bloated.
I realise I’m probably going mad and it’s all in my head. But this cycle just feels different for some reason, or maybe I’m just trying to manifest that I’m pregnant 🙃.
Keep manifesting!!! Positive thoughts help. xx

I've had some weird symptoms this month similar to the above and I'm getting lower middle cramps now. I got a BFN yesterday and today. Think I'm around 10dpo today. Hope I'm not out already...! 😥

I had a wobble as I can't remember what my symptoms were like back in June... but I didn't get my BFP until 14dpo which then disappeared a week later. Hoping I can get a late BFP still....

CD 8 and back on the clearblue advanced, I have not missed that little empty face 😩

Crossing my fingers that my cycle has regulated a bit and I ovulate before CD32 this time, or these sticks are gonna be bloody expensive 😂

Honestly I’m not a medical professional or anything so I can’t tell you anything scientific sorry; most of my friends had heavier/more painful period after each vaccine, one friend had their period early after the first dose but was regular after the second and then I hadn’t had a period in 6 months but spotted between the vaccines and came on a proper period a few days after the second dose.

Did anybody else find that their period was slightly different after the vaccine?
I’m waiting for my period after my first vaccine, it’s a day late and I know it’s just going to get my hopes up. 😔

Hi everyone. So I’ve been using clearblue ovulation tests now & ive had flashing smileys for 6 days now. Had to start a new pack this morning & it came up as low fertility the blank circle. Can it go from flashing to blank? Or is it a fault?
I tried another test with the old holder but it came up an error message.
I only have the old fashioned clear blue stick reader, not the fancy machine. With mine, you can always remove the stick and read it yourself, there will be two lines, but it's nowhere near as comforting as that smiley face😂

I’m good thank you @fishsticks - mostly just tired. I’ve got some worries which I’ve popped in a spoiler box as they are around test progression and I don’t want to trigger anyone who may have had the same. I’m keeping my fingers tightly crossed that I’m worrying for no reason and everything will be fine 🤞🏻

I am still having some big worries around test progression which I’m hoping will go away. I keep telling myself I’m still only 15dpo so the fact I’m not getting dye stealers yet doesn’t mean something is wrong. Internet cheapies we’re getting darker each day but today’s test looks slightly lighter than yesterday’s.

Also on Monday I tested positive on CB weeks indicator and it said 1-2 weeks, redid it yesterday morning and it still says 1-2 which obviously put panic into me. Though that day would literally be the day of 2 weeks so maybe I shouldn’t expect it to say 2-3 yet? IDK but if the same happens to any of you ladies I would advise you not to google it 😕
I honestly think you are pregnant!!! I was around 5 weeks pregnant and that damned digital one told me it was still 1-2 weeks, so please ignore it and have faith. I remember the sickness kicked in around week 7, so get stocked up on jelly babies and maoam strips, or something made of pure sugar that you can suck on!

Thank you ❤

And of course I will, however I don’t know if any of it helped as it was the first month doing all of it. It was our second month of doing SMEP, but I think we had better timing this month still.

I took 1000mg of vitamin c, b100 and b6 100mcg from 1DPO onwards as I had read a lot of success stories online that it helped to stop spotting in the luteal phase by regulating progesterone. Both previous months I had spotting and cramping from 8-10dpo. I don’t know if I’m not spotting this month because I’m pregnant or if I’m pregnant because I didn’t spot if that makes sense?

We used pre-seed. Previous months we had used conceive plus, but this month I switched to preseed as I had read a lot of rave reviews and success stories. I used the ones with the plastic tube syringes so you can use it internally before you DTD (so romantic 🥴)

I did the menstrual cup thing after DTD that was discussed here. I read a lot of success stories and it makes sense. I felt it couldn’t hurt to try. My husband definitely thought I was losing my mind (I think I was a bit) but hey! It may have helped a bit. I just made sure it was sterile and put it in after DTD, slept then took it out the following morning. Again.. VERY ROMANTIC.

The last thing is I ate mostly healthy foods and exercised every other day which in previous months I wasn’t so good at. I also made sure I kept my feet really warm after ovulation although who knows if that helped. My feet were toasty though 😂
I used preseed last cycle and didn't get a sniff of a fertilised egg. I don't know whether I used too much even though I followed the instructions! Or maybe my body was just sorting itself out after June.

Interesting about the cup though! I'm going to try that this cycle. Willing to try anything 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had my call from the gp yesterday. I have pcos and it does not appear I am ovulating. She is prescribing me some medication to bring on a ‘period’ and in 6 months I can check in again with her if we haven’t conceived to look into other methods. Very unhelpful phone call tbh. If I’m not ovulating how can we carry on trying, if I’m not having periods how can I track anything. Has anyone had any success stories with pcos and no periods?
We do already have a child and I know we are SO SO lucky and she reminded me of that but it still didn’t make this news any easier.
I do, I came off the pill in early 2020 and didn’t have a period for 6 months, then only had 2 periods in the 7 months after that (3 in 13 months). Went private and got a diagnosis of PCOS in February this year. I was devastated because we were trying for a baby, which was proving difficult with the irregular cycles.

I used ovulation sticks after one of my periods n got a smiley flashing face for over 30 days. I then tested one in tap water and it also gave a flashing smiley so I just chucked them in the bin.

After my diagnosis I read into reversing PCOS naturally and began taking inositol, cut out caffeine, cut down on sugar, started acupuncture and tried to improve my sleep. About 6 weeks later I got a period, and during that cycle I ovulated for the first time since I came off the pill I’m pretty sure. I’m now pregnant 😊 I’m not sure what exactly it was that made the difference or wether it was a combination of them all but something worked!

I might join this thread - I’ve been lurking for a while as I waited to finish up on the pill and this looks like it’s one of the most welcoming and friendly TTC chats I’ve seen (some forums are a bit scary, at least for people just starting TTC).

I am on cycle 1, 4DPO, am 33 and I have diagnosed endometriosis stage 2. I have been advised to start testing for ovulation and temping etc initially my first cycle was just meant to be me learning how to do it etc then I got very positive OPKs and my BBT shot up so we decided let’s just start trying but now I’m in the TWW and as much as I tell myself I shouldn’t be disappointed if I get a BFN next week, I know I will be and start panicking.

I am struggling a lot with the hormone fluctuations and my endo has flared up during ovulation and currently (I have bad nausea which I know is just the progesterone) and I can’t take any of the anti inflammatories I normally have 😩

Anyone who went off the pill - do the fluctuations get better? I don’t think this happened the last time I was off the pill in my mid 20s 😭
Welcome and good luck 🤞 🙏 please don’t panic if you get a bfn next week, it usually can take time to adjust. Although some do get lucky.

I get really bad nausea too, sometimes during ovulation but always the day before af is due. It’s cruel because I still tell myself it could be my bfp.

Thanks everyone for your kind messages. @fishsticks your message in particular has helped me so much to feel less alone.

I know some of you are just trying to help me have hope, and were it just the CB weeks, I may still have some - but even my FRERs which were blaring positives this time last week have faded to almost nothing. My symptoms are gone. My temp is dropping. I sadly do think it’s over for this pregnancy. It would hurt more to cling onto hope when all the signs are telling me not to.

I’ve cried for hours today. I’m beside myself, but I am prepared for what is coming and for that I feel grateful xx
Ive been thinking about you all day, I hope you’re holding up best you can❤

You could ring your local hospitals early pregnancy unit and they might be able to offer some advice/ offer to give you a quick check over and test your hormone levels. but obviously it’s a totally personal decision wether you do that or not❤

I’m on 8 days DPO & I just caved & tested but it’s a BFN. I don’t know why I did it & now I feel rubbish! But I knew that would happen. So mad at myself.
It's just so tempting isn't it 😔
I'm about 9/10 dpo now and I've tested the last 3 days just with cheapy strip tests. All BFN obviously! Going to try and wait until the weekend to test again. AF is due early next week. From today's googling it looks like very few people get a positive at 10dpo so need to stop being so keen 🤦🏻‍♀️ might get my bf to hide the tests from me haha.
Fingers crossed in a few more days for both of us 🤞

I caved and took another test. Asda cheapy one not sure if the strength it’s a one you can take 4 days before AF though and mine is due in 4 days, and of course a BFN 😥 I need to stop testing I just torture myself every month and look for lines that aren’t there. I know I’m only going on to cycle 5 now but I keep reading people who have fallen so soon after miscarriage and it’s starting to get to me😥 I know it could be a lot worse I just needed to share my feelings x
You can share your feelings here and they are completely validated. It’s so hard but remember you’re not out until AF arrives. Keeping everything crossed for you ✨✨

We get married this month so trying to focus on that instead... who am I kidding, I’ll still be tracking everything and overthinking every feeling I get. 😂. If only it was easy just to forget about it for a bit, as people seem to think.
Ah congratulations! We are getting married in September so it’s nice to hear someone in the same boat! Definitely trying to use it as a distraction but it’s hard!

Hi, just checking in to see how everyone is doing? Huge congratulations to everyone who has got their BFP this month!... I’m feeling so deflated today- I think I’m around 9dpo which I know is far to early to test... but of course I have tested and it’s a stinking BFN!! I don’t know why I do it to myself. Just feeling pretty shit. Cycle 3 after miscarriage. I think if I don’t get a BFP this month I’m going to use to clear blue OPK as my cycles since my miscarriage have been 30,32,39 so haven’t got a clue what’s going on or when I even ovulate xxx

9dpo and just feel like I have just accepted I am out this cycle, I know it’s still early but I have some weird cramps like I’m gearing up for af and just feel moody like I would in the week before af came along.

Have made a list of things I can do once AF arrives so I don’t feel too down about it - drink a cocktail, dye my roots. All the things that during the last week I’ve been wishing I had remembered to do before i ovulated. Plus next cycle I’m hoping I will have regulated a bit so won’t be doing OPKs for 25 days before I get a peak again 😬 silver linings and all that.
I feel like this!I think I’m 9dpo too! Which is very early days! I’m sure it takes Atleast 6-11 days for baby to actually implant so this may not have even happened yet. 2WW is awful xx

AF is now 5 days late, still BFN. No symptoms of AF or early pregnancy. Does anyone think this could still be pregnancy or just a missed period? My previous cycles have all been 28 days so this is strange. I’m not sure what to do and feeling a bit down today.
You’re not out til AF shows! 🤞🏼 It could really be either. Not helpful I know 🤦🏼‍♀️ Are you using FRER tests? x

I completely missed a period a couple of cycles ago when I’m usually very regular but everyone’s different 🤞🏼 All back to normal now (after a weird period inbetween) x

Hello!

Dipping my toe into the thread as after lots of serious chats with my boyfriend over the last month or so we are taking the plunge and going to start TTC. I'm on my period atm but then we'll get things going and stop using protection. I've been tracking periods /ovulation since coming off the pill last year so I'll use that as a guide for now and if nowt happens will look into being a bit more precise maybe.

I feel so nervous for some reason, a bit like I'm sitting an exam I've not studied for 😂 I don't know if that's normal or not!
Welcome & good luck 💖

I’m after getting my period 4 days early, so that leaves me with a 10 day luteal phase which is too short. I got bloods done with the doctor a few months ago & she said all was normal but will have to follow up with her now for a plan. I’m 36 so times a ticking for me.

I have only just started TTC but have been married for just over 1.5 years and was shocked by how many people think it’s acceptable to ask when we were having children. I pointed out to some people how inappropriate of a question that is, I’ve directly said what if we were trying to conceive and hadn’t been able to yet?

It’s so so thoughtless, I’m sorry if you ladies have to deal with that question. Tell them it’s none of their business, and that when you are having a baby, you will be sure to let them know but until then it’s not up for discussion!
I had this exact question earlier today when I bumped into a distant relative that I’ve not seen for over a year in the middle of a busy supermarket! I was so upset but it turned to rage the further round the aisles I got! So so thoughtless! It’s usually women that ask as well!? Like where is the thought!

Anyway it’s a new cycle for me today... trying not to use OPK’s etc this month, want to try and not stress myself out reading into lines and flashing smileys - trying to think what will be will be! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 How do you all distract yourself from testing? (if you do!) I tell myself I won’t test and then I find myself in the bathroom with a stick in my hand!

So despite what I was just saying 🤦‍♀️ OH has just had a phone call - his sample is abnormal. We don’t know in what way, he’s just been given that information and told they’d speak to him on Monday. What a great thing to tell someone on a Friday afternoon with no follow up.
Good luck for tomorrow x x hope you get some answers ❤

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing okay!

So AF is due tomorrow and I've had weird cramps that don't feel like periods pains as well as a dull ache in my lower abdomen for a week or so. So I took a FRER and there's a faint line, but I'm not sure if this is what an indent looks like? Does anyone know? Think I'm being over cautious. Thanks x
Definitely looks positive to me, congratulations 💕🎉
