congratulationsThank you to those on the previous thread yesterday who suggested a test with a red dye... I think that’s pretty undeniable. Cannot believe we’re finally looking at this 🥲

That is exciting!!!I got a high on my ovulation tests! Yay! CD 16 and in line with my apps so I’m pretty happy about that. I also felt some CM today so I’m glad they seem to be aligning so I know what I’m looking out for! I know it can change month to month but it’s given me some hope!
This probably isn’t interesting to most people, sorry![]()
I missed a period after my second shot which brought so much false hope! Thanks @Louk, that's interesting. I've actually not had my vaccine yet, I'm ashamed to admit it and I feel so guilty but I just don't want to mess with my periods. They're already extremely heavy and painful. I know someone who missed 3 periods after the vaccine and that's not what I want when I'm already on cycle 10 of TTC.
That sucks, I was shocked when I once read that you only have 12 chances to get pregnant each yearDoesn’t make you sound like a bitch at all!🤍
to be honest, when a patient comes in and announces they are pregnant, I stab it angrily into their medical history notes
period arrived todaypremom seems to get it bang on each month… I’m going to use their predictions for ovulation I think.
I’m out until autumn/winter now anyway as my bf works away. I’ve got myself a glass of Prosecco!
I think it’s recommended every second or third day for that reason. A friend of mine got pregnant successfully twice her first cycle each time by DTD every second day for a month. Myself & my husband work opposite schedules so that’s pretty impossible for us right now but gonna give it a go next cycle & see how we get on. I’m knackered at the thoughtsame here, the pill is horrific! Great that you’ve had time off so you know your cycle there!
I don’t know it’s it’s true about the DTD every day all the time can be bad for sperm count - I did read a few things and I think they encourage frequent but (I’m not sure if this so true, but thought I would mention it for someone to confirm/deny/correct!)ejaculation every day can reduce the sperm count. A bit like the opposite of when men don’t ejaculate for ages sperm can be damaged etc. — I don’t want that to be alarming or anything!! I think every day over a short time is fine but if it was a for a long time perhaps.
I agree that the knowledge of ovulation can be a bit of a tricky thing to be able to ‘perform on demand’ too!
With my first (and only) pregnancy 10 years ago: I had the usual cramps and bloat as if my period was going to start but it never did. I didn't even think to take a test until I was a week late.Has anybody ever found out they’re pregnant but had no symptoms at all?
Thank youYeah that’s correct, if you’re using the purple clearblue it will stay on there for 48 hours then go blank until you first test next cycle and you can use the same holder again.
The pink clearblue ones you still don’t need to test now until next cycle too but you don’t need to keep the holder.
Oh my!! Yes I can deffo see a line on all three!! Please keep us updated! I so hope this is it for you! Sending love and positive vibesso after I took the frer, I looked back at the pictures and I thought I could see a vvvfl but I don’t think it had colour. I took another frer out of its wrapper and lo and behold it had a grey line already on it. My husband could see the line in the pic too so I knew I wasn’t going mad.
Anyway, we went out for lunch and stopped to see if we could get more frers for me to test again tomorrow however they only had CB 6 days earlier ones which I didn’t want to get because I know blue dye isn’t great but I got it anyway.
Got home and thought might as well do a cheapy strip test (addict) and thought i could see a faint line so did another and the blue dye test and …

What do you guys think? Be brutal! I can def see a very faint line on all 3 but I don’t know. I am either 11dpo or 9dpo, 2 apps telling me 2 different things. I am scared they could all be indents but surely on 3 separate tests that is unlikely? I am too scared to think it is real, I’m in total shock at the prospect. I don’t know if I should believe it or not. I just feel numb because I think I’m too afraid to feel happy just in case. I will of course test again tomorrow.
Ps: they are super yellow because the pregnacare makes my pee fluorescent
Have been thinking about you, I hope you had a some what relaxing day. Sending you a big hug![]()
its so hard isnt it. My hubby is happy to try again or not at all. He Says its up to me, but think is sick of seeing me blame myself! Hope you are ok, it really does ls help to share doesnt it xxI’m so sorry to read this. I too had my first miscarriage late last year and my second 6 weeks ago so I do understand your devastation and fear about the next time (hoping there will be a next time for us both).
I really hope your physical recovery is smooth, if nothing else![]()
Thanks so much! Yeah, that is very much our plan. I don't want it to become a chore. I feel like you can get so hung up on what the 'medical' internet says! (Thanks Dr Google.....!) So many seemed to recommend the ov tests, but I just didn't even think about it at the time.I would deffo go in having fun! Have sex frequently and keep an eye on ovulation signals from your body to see when you might be fertile. The first time I fell pregnant I didn’t use OPK’s and it was fine. I only did this time as I was off birth control and i was hoping to check my body was doing as it should.
Don’t take what the apps say as gospel - follow your body, chart your CM (when it gets thinner slippery etc it’s more fertile) and good luck!
Probably don’t have that drinkHey ladies, so I’ve taken 2 FRER and one CB ‘6 days early’ in the last 24 hours (I’m 12dpo) and all 3 are showing faint lines. What are the odds they’re all indent/evap lines?I’m only testing early as I’m meeting a friend I haven’t seen in a year at the weekend and wanted to double check should I have a drink or not! Now I’m second guessing one minute, and super hopeful the next! I’d post pics but I don’t know how to do the spoiler warning.
@Celeste no I haven't, but I think if I have a chemical again I will definitely push to have tests for it.I can relate to this, my BMI is higher than it "should" be and I carry weight round my stomach the most. Have you ever had any tests done around potential hormone inbalances?
@JLXRD i think it's so difficult. Ive put in around a stone since March last year and it's 100% due to lockdown etc. I used to go to the gym 3 times a week, and yes I could've done home workouts, but i got out of the habit and here we are! Doesn't help I'm only 5'2"I can also relate to having weight struggles, and since we started TTC I’ve gained more just through emotional eating. I am in the overweight BMI range too.
I think I read that they advise you to try and be a healthy weight when TTC because estrogen is stored in fat so the more fat you have, the more likely a hormonal imbalance is.
I’m going to make a conscious effort to lose some weight this month so hopefully that will help.
So sorry you're going through this. When I got stomach cramps, I checked my CM... It told me what I knew in my heart and unfortunately I had a chemical.I posted on here last week thinking I could be pregnant. I am pregnant but I don’t think it’s going to stick I’m having the worst stomach pains. I’ve had a miscarriage before and the pains are exactly the same. I thought about calling Epu but I had such a terrible experience the last time I was there. I haven’t told anyone not even my oh because he’s been working away.
It really is, this is my first one so I’m dreading having to do this multiple times. It’s so hard not to think about it all the timeI feel like this!I think I’m 9dpo too! Which is very early days! I’m sure it takes Atleast 6-11 days for baby to actually implant so this may not have even happened yet. 2WW is awful xx
Oh god that's worried me. I hope it's just a short term thing that will stress me out a lotSo funny you just starting talking about the vaccine and cycle changes as I was just coming on to this thread to ask about it...
Ive had both vaccinations and normally cycles are very regular, my last cycle was abnormal and I felt I ovulated later and then my period was late. My cycle was about 35 days I think and normally it’s 28-29 days. I’m hoping it was a one offI’ll find it really difficult if my cycles start becoming very irregular.
As for baby showers, I’m so with you! I’ve got one next week and my anxiety is through the roof as I know conversation will turn to me, when will I have a baby, why haven’t I got a baby yet etch. I just want to cancel. It’s not a close friend either. I don’t mind talking about it with my close friends, not ex colleagues![]()
It is rude. The last couple of times someone has asked I have said 'we have been trying for a long time now and it's not happening, currently having tests' that shut them up. Then they feel uncomfortable. But so they should.I have only just started TTC but have been married for just over 1.5 years and was shocked by how many people think it’s acceptable to ask when we were having children. I pointed out to some people how inappropriate of a question that is, I’ve directly said what if we were trying to conceive and hadn’t been able to yet?
It’s so so thoughtless, I’m sorry if you ladies have to deal with that question. Tell them it’s none of their business, and that when you are having a baby, you will be sure to let them know but until then it’s not up for discussion!
I used both and they lined up for me. As I was my first cycle off the pill though I got 12(!) days of the flashing face before I got my static so it was bloody expensive but if your cycle is getting shorter, you could just buy one packet or buy the 20 pack off Amazon and it will probably last you 2 cycles.Hi everyone, I didn’t do OPK last month I decided to lay off it but sure my period came a flipping week early. I was on a 38 day cycle since coming off the pill but this month was 29 days. Annoyed I didn’t track ovulation now! Going to start again this month. Wishing everyone luck & baby dust !
Oh edited to ask - is the clearblue tests worth it? I’ve the easy at home sticks. Just got the hang of them but are clearblue better? They are dear so do you get a months worth in the box?
