I’m feeling really deflated. I don’t know what’s going on with my cycle, I’ve was full on bleeding for almost 3 weeks, then a few days break then spotting mostly when I go to the toilet. I’m CD32.

I have been taking more vitamins and supplements that are meant to help PCOS so I’m wondering if my body is adapting to them, but when I told hubby about the bleeding starting and his comment was “I guess we’re never going to have a baby then” pffft men! I told him that was not particularly helpful or very sensitive when I have the fertility issues!! 😡

Sorry if I am asking a really obvious question here, googled SMEP and is it basically just DTD on the few days before ovulation day and then on ovulation day?
The version of sme I am doing is:

DTD every other day until you get a positive OPK, then DTD that day and the next 2 (so 3 days in row). Then have 1 day off and DTD one more time for luck.

It is meant to guarantee there is always sperm waiting for the egg to be released but also concentrated DTD around ovulation.

I think it’s good if your ovulation isn’t consistent like mine isnt and every other day is way more manageable than every day which is what we were doing initially.

Congratulations to all of those with BFPs

Our first cycle of TTC number 2 was a write off because my son brought home norovirus from nursery bang on in my fertile week :ROFLMAO:
Gotta love the timing of those kids!! But I hope he’s ok.
I’m 11 DPO & took a cheapy test with a big angry BFN. so I’m counting myself as out. Really went for it this month so I’m a bit gutted.

Been feeling so whacko this month so tested tonight and BFP. Now absolutely shitting myself because it’s only been 40 days since my period and I don’t know how I could have possibly ovulated already when my cycles are usually up to 68 days long. Line is super dark too which seems even more suss. Have horrible health anxiety anyway and googled and found in super rare cases it can be a false positive from dodgy growths etc. Realistically I know I’ve potentially had early pregnancy symptoms so it would make sense, but I just can’t get my head around how it possibly could have happened with all my hormonal conditions/crazy cycles. I’m such a mess :(

I tested on a whim really thinking even if I was, it wouldn’t show as I’m too far before AF. Although I guess in theory I could have been destined for a shorter one this month. That’s the problem I can never tell.
Get a clear blue digi with the weeks indicator to give you a rough guide for scope ☺ If it’s 3+ for example that means you’re 5 weeks pregnant- you could always then call your local EPU and explain about your cycles and then could do an early scan in a week to roughly guide you.
Congratulations!

CD 33 (first cycle off the pill) and I think I am officially in my first 2WW! 1 DPO today (at least I think so! Hoping my temp keeps rising 🤞🏻)

2 weeks feels so long 😂 though after 26 days of OPKs multiple times a day I’m glad to have a while before I need to pee on any more sticks!

Haha, I hear you...with my almost 4 year old asking mama what you doing? As he watches me pee into his old cup hahaha. Also in my TWW. Ovulation was Wednesday i think...according to clear blue! Wishing you all the luck in the world xx

Ah congratulations! We are getting married in September so it’s nice to hear someone in the same boat! Definitely trying to use it as a distraction but it’s hard!
Thank you ☺ Congratulations to you too for September.
I just know though, I’ll get even more questions of ‘when are you having children? Kids next’ ect 🙄. As I smile through gritted teeth 😅.

Hi guys.

My HSG confirmed my left tube is completely blocked. Assuming it’s from my surgery I had to remove a cyst last year. So I’m now starting Letrozole for 3 cycles, if no luck then on to ICSI or IVF. Burst into tears in the room, even though I expected this news it was still a shock to hear it. I feel like such a failure! Feel like I’m letting my husband down a lot.

hope everyone is ok x
You are not a failure! Reading that has made me feel so sad. You are not letting your husband down. You've got your answers and getting the help you need. You sound lovely, I'm sure your husband feels lucky to have you ❤ i hope your feeling a bit better x

Currently laid up as I've just had my appendix removed. Bloody painful.
I'm 9dpo.they tested and told me a pregnancy test was negative but at 8dpo I didn't think much of it as my period isn't due for another few days. Not that I'm expecting anything after 18 months. Just didn't upset me as I thought it's still early days....so you never know. Very unlikely now though xx

Morning everyone,

so I have taken my advanced digital cleanliness this morning and went straight from empty circle to solid static face which means I have reached my peak? However I am only on CD12 and cycles since MC shave been 35-37 days… so isn’t this too early? And I also haven’t had the flashing face?? I have DTF (sorry tmi) Friday, Saturday and will do it tonight. Do you think I’ve covered myself if I have reached my peak this morning? Xx

Hi girls. I’ve been a long time lurker but have a few questions so hope you don’t mind me popping on :).
I’ve never been pregnant. Ever.
I’ve tried for a couple of months but last year but nothing happened and I don’t think I was tracking it properly tbh.
But this month I’m going to really try as I’m 32 now and I don’t have time on my side.
I’ve come on today and checked 3 sites then for my suspected ovulation date and they’re all different 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Can anyone recommend any digital ovulation texts?
Has anyone used the Ava bracelet?
And can anyone recommend and vitamins?
Thank you girls ❤
Hi, yes you are getting on a bit, but please don't worry about it, I'm still here hoping to give birth before I hit 43😬😬😬 I only wish I was 32, or had managed to get pregnant at 32!!!😂 That message goes out to everyone here, I'm pretty sure I'm the oldest here, and when I had my boy, I was seriously old enough to be the mother of some of the other mums on the ward 🙈🙈

Anyway, I'd probably also recommend the super expensive clear blue predictor tests. I got some from a cheap shop and 3 have failed on me today. Cheaper ones will do though, you only throw them away!

I got a load of them and started testing this month on day 8, thinking I'd really track my ovulation but I was surprised by quite a strongly positive result - I jumped on hubby even though neither of us could be arsed. I'm really thankful we did because today the positive result is starting to fade 🧐😯. I'm seriously shocked, I really thought I'd just check every day this week and ovulate on day 14. So I'm really pleased I bought cheap tests and went ahead and tested myself with this attitude, I would definitely have missed out if I was being tight fisted with my clearblue tests 😂.

I've never bothered with an app, maybe it's worth comparing an app with your testing? I just feel the tests are a definite yes or no. Apps are written by computer nerds, hubby is a nerd & he's clueless 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not been able to consistently use opks these past couple of days so not sure if I've missed tracking ovulation. Decided I'm just going to wing it now. I've got loads of studying to get done so I'm hoping that'll take my mind off things and maybe that might just do me some good.

Hope everyone is hanging on in there and doing okay.

How're you feeling @JLXRD? All okay? 😊

Hello, I didn't think I'd be back so soon but here I am.

TW for the below.

So last Friday I got my first positive followed by a digital positive on Saturday. We were elated, obviously. I had ridiculously sore boobs, nausea and mild cramping but nothing major.

Yesterday I just knew something wasn't right. Had a very very small amount of blood in CM,but the cramping intensified. This morning took a test and it came back negative and now I'm bleeding.

I'm absolutely devastated and can't stop crying. I know it was very early, but it's still heartbreaking. We've decided we're going to try again straight away, but not track ovulation or anything. Don't want to get my hopes up again. What will be will be I guess! (even though I hate that saying!!)

Hope everyone is doing okay x
So sorry to hear this fishsticks 😞 hope you’re doing ok and have lots of support around you xx

People just don’t word things right 😩 I hope she meant she feels grateful because she understands what you are going through must be so hard.

I started to really resent people essentially bragging about getting pregnant - ‘we got pregnant first time every time, my husband just has to look at me and I’m pregnant’

🙄🙄 like good for you.

I think not conceiving right away definitely helps you be more aware and careful with your words around pregnancy.
I think if that's what she meant she would have said that. No part of what she said indicated to me that she understands how I am feeling. It was more bragging in my opinion. Hope I'm wrong but 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

That’s what I’m going to start saying. I think it will shut them up.

I think tracking ovulation will be good for you next month. If your cycles are 45 days you just be ovulating pretty late? Like day 30? I think that’s how it works, but I’m no expert so maybe someone else can help?
It did the trick, and I'm not one for being rude to people but if it makes them uncomfortable then so be it!

I'm definitely going to track next month, for some reason I thought my husband would be against the idea cos it makes it a bit more "formal" but he's actually all for the idea. I've seen lots of people on here recommend the Clear Blue digital tests so I might have a look into those.

Thanks for the support guys, it's so helpful to know you can come here for non-judgemental advice/support. ❤

My period is late. My boobs are sore AF. 😨
Have you tested? 🤞

Hi ladies, I’ve been a lurker for a bit now and finally posting. We’re in cycle 9 of trying now (I know some people have it worse, sorry ❤). Most people’s children in my family have been ‘happy accidents’, so we’ve just kept we’re TTC between my OH and I. We get married soon and I know the asking of when we’ll have children will be increased.💔 Just feels like it won’t ever happen.

Just want to thank you ladies for opening up, although I’ve not commented before your posts have honestly helped massively. Sending love to you all. Xx
Sending love back to you too ❤ Fingers and everything else crossed for you that it happens soon!

That's good that you are understanding. If I get my turn, I will also always always be careful and understanding of people TTC now I know what it's like. One of the hardest parts is people not getting it and telling you what to do and how to feel and just relax, it makes it even lonelier. it is ALWAYS people who conceived easily and have no clue that tell you 'just stop thinking about it' and act like it's obvious as well xx
Wishing you a healthy pregnancy ♥❤
thank you. I think long term infertility forever changes you and people just don’t understand. Wishing everyone on this thread so much luck. I’m proof that miracles can happen xxx

I’m due to be having my second COVID vaccine tomorrow and I’m really weary. I think I’ll have ovulated either yesterday or Thursday, and for the first time in possibly a year, I actually feel like we had a good amount of sex around the right time, so I’m trying to do everything possible to increase my chances.

What would you do about the vaccine? I’m not under any fertility clinic to ask for advice, and obviously I’d have no chance of speaking to my GP today with it being Sunday.
Personally I’d still go for it as I know I wouldn’t want the vaccine whilst pregnant. I held off for my first vaccine - originally got invited whilst pregnant but when I had my mc I booked straight in for my first. I had my second last week and I am glad I had it now. Ultimately it is your decision, do what you feel is best for you xx

Yep same! I'm 8-9dpo and have been symptom spotting and googling and all week 😔 have had sore boobs since about 3dpo which I'm sure is too early to really feel anything.
It's hard to remember if I had any symptoms last time as it wasn't planned and I didn't find out until my period was a few days late.
I think I need to wait as long I can before testing otherwise I'll just be worried for longer about it not working out again. Easier said than done though!
Same! Every day I've been googling variants of "super early pregnancy symptoms" lmfao. Keep convincing myself every odd twinge is a sign but realistically I think I'm just driving myself crackers over nothing. My boobs have been so sore and a few odd symptoms here and there but then they might just be things I normally don't pay any attention to lol. My cycle's are so irregular that I couldn't test for so long anyway so I'll be even crazier by then lol.
