Three flashing smileys... When does the solid one arrive
other opks not budging either. So worried I'm not going to ovulate this cycle.
Hang on in there it’s early days and you’re not out until AF shows her ugly head! 🤍 it’s so tiring wanting something so much that it consumes every thought isn’t it. One month it will be our monthBasically whatever happens, I will convince myself I might be pregnant whilst deep down knowing I’m not and thinking I never will be. All the emotions.
I’m so sorry darling girl. Take this evening for you, pamper yourself up, get some treats and take it easy. I’m sending you all the love in the world and all the hope that Father’s Day 2022 has more promise than this oneI’ve seen so many announcements today![]()
Today is always a struggle for me, but feel like it’s even worse this year. Sending love to anyone who needs it today![]()
Another 13 monther hereMine was af. 13 months I’m just devastated
You’re definitely not out at 9dpo! With my son I had nothing but the faintest line until 11dpo. Fingers crossed for you and all the other ladies in your TWWs.Come here, a bunch of strangers on the internet will do their best to keep your spirits up
I really hate the people who go "oh I'm trying for a baby, poof! 5 minutes later
I'm really hoping it's just a bit early and a cheap test, it's not over until AF shows up!!
100% agree! Or people who say “turns out we’re really good at making babies” when they get pregnant on their first try. As if to say everyone who doesn’t get caught first time isn’tPeople just don’t word things rightI hope she meant she feels grateful because she understand what you are going through must be so hard.
I started to really resent people essentially bragging about getting pregnant - ‘we got pregnant first time every time, my husband just has to look at me and I’m pregnant’
like good for you.
I think not conceiving right away definitely helps you be more aware and careful with your words around pregnancy.
just enjoy yourself & don’t even think about it too much. And best of luckHello! My husband and I are on our first month of trying for a baby and I've been looking for somewhere to talk about it rather than with people I know! (I don't want anyone knowing really in case it doesn't happen for any reason.)
I forgot about this little place and it looks so full of positivity and love and most importantly support.
If I'm honest I'm terrified. I'm worried in case it happens the first month and I'm worried in case it doesn't! Did anyone else feel like this?
I've bought pregnancy tests, but I've not bought ovulation tests and I didn't want myself to become too consumed at first. Flo predicts my ovulation to be around 27th of this month, but now I'm wondering if I should've bought the ovulation tests. Did anyone else do this in the first few months of trying? Thanks!
I was about 8 weeks when I found out. My period had been getting later and later each month for some reason so wasn't too surprised when it was late. I felt sick constantly for about a week but there had been a tummy bug going round the office so figured it was that and then eventually I tested.Has anybody ever found out they’re pregnant but had no symptoms at all?
Aw this was me last month. I feel for you! Hopefully you’ve just tested too earlyAF is one day late but test was BFN. No AF symptoms but that also means no early pregnancy symptoms either. Kinda feel I’m stuck in limbo atm. Gonna wait a few days and test again. I hate the wait game![]()
sorry to hear you got your AFVery disappointed as I got AF todaywas hoping after my MC I would fall straight away. Back to more planned sex...my fav not
feeling sorry for myself but did a good spin session at the gym and trying to be positive about next month

I really tried not to tell mine as knew he’d think I was obsessing….But I got so excited when i hit a peak thay I told him. I have pcos so was excited that my body was doing something it was meant to.Hahaha yes!!! I feel like it's taunting me and I'm definitely not smiling anymore, just getting mad.I haven't even told my husband I'm peeing on stick for ovulation so I can't even go have a moan to him!!
Im just catching up and I am so so sorry to hear what has happened. Sending you loads of love and hugs xxxfor various reasons, I think I am going to step away from this thread until I feel in a place where I can try again
I’ve made a thread about loss, as I do want to talk about it and process my feelings but I’m just not sure here is the right place. Hopefully soon I will be strong enough to be back with you ladies here. Thank you so much for all your lovely messages, I have my fingers crossed tightly for you all
if any of you want to discuss your losses or need to vent about loss, please come chat with me xx
Miscarriage/Baby Loss
Hi all, I have been on the TTC thread for a few months and have recently had an early loss. I have discussed my experience on the TTC thread but I’m conscious that I don’t feel it’s the right place to process my grief amongst others good news and 2WWs, and I don’t know if I’m ready to try again...tattle.life
congratulations!!!Thankyou so much
I feel so tearful!
Thankyou all so so much.
You have all been there for me through all my time TTC when I have cried, vented, been positive again, angry and everything in between and I can't thank you all enough.
I just want my journey to give a bit of hope to anyone who may need it. I used to look for stories of people like me who got a positive suddenly after a long time trying. It gave me hope and I hope mine gives some of you some too. Xxxx
I know what my best friend would name her children and I'd never use those names (even though I like one of them). I wouldn't want to cause her the tiniest bit of hurt.I so know what you mean!!!! It happened to me. My best friend named her son the name I'd always spoken about. I was pissed off at first, but I guess it's just one of them.
Time to name thinking again![]()
I'm even worse, I lost a job I absolutely loved and then refused to get a new one - I didn't want someone to hire me, only to turn around and quit a few months later. I have no family help, so would really struggle. So I spent 3 whole years doing crappy temping jobs that I hatedHey everyone. Long time no speak. Hope you are all doing ok - I’m still here lurking a few months onI’m not sure if any of you have felt like this, but I’m struggling a bit with future planning.
Feel like I can’t make plans because if I plan something around potentially getting pregnant, I will jinx it and it won’t happen. Not sure if that even makes sense. I’m such a control freak - like my childless friends are talking about a booking piss-up holiday for next year - I’d rather be pregnant and miss it , but if it doesn’t happen for us by then, will I be kicking myself for not going? Or if I don’t go and then I’m still not pregnant is it because I jinxed myself by assuming I would be?
I think the way I’m feeling is also super selfish and shallow but I just can’t help ithoping someone will understand
Omg this is like me. Saw a friend couple weeks ago, her baby is a few months old, she wasn't trying and conceived ages after I started trying. She also has an older child she fell pregnant with and didn't realise until she was half way. So hard to take xI recently saw a friend who started TTC the same time as me, and well I got to see her and her 6 month old baby. As happy as I am for her, I couldn't stop that shadow creeping over thinking 'why couldn't this be me?' It's just so bittersweet. I've turned down a lot of the baby shower invitations. I just can't face it currently. TTC is hard enough without the constant questioning from families.
A part of me actually wants the test to show something! I'm fed up of hearing that everything looks normal when it clearly isn't! I felt like initially I was seen very quickly and had appointments and tests coming out of my ears, but now it feels like it's slowed down massively. I agree, I get so angry when I hear people saying 'we didn't even try!' or people who have abused their bodies and then get pregnant like, how unfair?
I've had both my jabs, but can't really comment on what it did to my cycle as it's so erratic anyway. 1st jab my period was much shorter than normal which is really unusual for me (4 days rather than 7) but that just could be my body being weird, and I had my 2nd one on Monday so that's yet to be seen. xx
Sorry to jump on this but I had my first jab on 22nd April and my latest period has been so weird? I usually differ slightly each month but this last AF has been so weird!? Very on and off and only 4 days! I didn’t even think to relate it to the jab! Anyone else had issues?
So I'm 11 dpo and had the jab today, do you think it'll make much difference at this late stage?! I mean I'm already getting cramps suddenly which is unusual but surely it wouldn't work that quickly but you said you came on early? I was thinking it may delay it coming. Looks like I'm gonna have no idea at the end of this week if it hadn't shown then xMine has arrived early (4 days) and I’m usually like clockwork (had jab at the end of last week).
Thank you for your reply. I think thats the thing with us, what you don’t know can’t hurt kind of feeling. I’m glad you managed to see somebody. Sending loveI waited around 3 years!!! Mainly because I didn't want to face up to a problem, hubby got a date with a cup and I had an ultrasound and hysterosaplingogram (hystericalpingpong!) the results were clear so we were sent for IVF. Took a fair few months for the tests and appointments
Thank you for your reply. It may only be the case in Ireland, but depending on your age, if you are over 35 they say 6 months before you should see a doctor, and 12 months if you are younger than that.
If you have endo / PCOS etc, they recommend 6 months also.
I went to the doctor after 4 months - I have endo and my life was being ruined by heavy periods and terrible pain once they removed my coil. 14 months in, and after many ovarian stimulation cycles, surgeries, HCGs and too many pelvic ultrasounds to count, we are about to embark on our first cycle of IVF.
Thank you for your reply lovely. I think we’re going to ring the doctors soon to get seen for tests, so appreciate your reply with how long to wait/ tests ect. That’s great news that at least you’ve now managed to get all the tests done. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, sending loveWe waited until a year of being off the pill, mainly because I felt something was off (everything’s been okay so far though), and I know how long referrals can take if needed. I have long cycles so my GP said when she sends a referral they may want me to have at least 12 cycles, but it’s taken so long for my OH sperm analysis appointment that I will be at 12 cycles once the results come through.
They were relatively quickly getting me tested (day 3,day 21 bloods ultrasound scan) it was recommended once they were okay to get a sperm analysis booked. And here we are, he had it today!
Looks positiveHi everyone, hope you're all doing okay!
So AF is due tomorrow and I've had weird cramps that don't feel like periods pains as well as a dull ache in my lower abdomen for a week or so. So I took a FRER and there's a faint line, but I'm not sure if this is what an indent looks like? Does anyone know? Think I'm being over cautious. Thanks x
I want to but I just know if I were lucky enough to conceive and I’d had alcohol in the 2WW, my anxiety wouldn’t be worth it. I’d probably worry about it until the baby came out tbhStay positive! Cramps can be a good sign rather than AF signs.
Do the things you wanna do, have cocktails, have fun and relax as best you cana friend of mine was on cycle 9 and was worried bcus she was in her 40s. She cut out alcohol and caffeine during that time, didn't have takeouts, ate 'clean' and was so disheartened it hadn't happened. So she has an absolute blow out for a couple of weeks. Stopped tracking, drank some alcohol, bit of caffeine, ate crap and the next cycle she was pregnant.
It obviously might not be bcus she had a blow out, but maybe she was able to just relax![]()
I have the opposite I sleep so well but have vivid dreams! Amazing how women are all so different isn’t itAnyone else get horrible insomnia before AF is due? I used to always be like ooh this is like pregnancy insomnia again but then obviously always got my period right after and asked my acupuncturist and she said its because of the rise in body temperature. So had this last night, does that mean I'm out this month?
I'm 10 dpo, I have one test at home but kinda dont want to subject myself to getting a negative yet again
