Thought I would place myself in this thread. Looking forward to getting to know you all. I’m only on my second cycle of TTC but was diagnosed with endometriosis last year. I had a laparoscopic surgery to remove all the adhesions however they can grow back and the speed of which that happens is unknown and differs from person to person. My consultant told me to try for my second child within a year of surgery, and we are fast approaching a year now.

Last month I had high hopes and tried as naturally as possible, no ovulation testing etc. we tried every other night all throughout my fertile window but AF arrived on time.

This month I decided to ovulation test and today I got a peak reading. Going to continue over the next few days just in hopes, but I guess I’m now in my 2 week wait! Anyone else got endo or in the 2ww?

I’ve not been on here for a while, for the past 6 weeks I’ve been on my period now! there is no signs of it stopping either. I am SO fed up. I have PCOS so that’s why, but just so annoying that it’s decided to do this now when I’ve been regular for ages! I’ve actually told myself I don’t even want a baby so I don’t drive myself mad.

A friend of the family started TTC months AFTER me. I remember her telling people they were struggling and how terrible it was after trying for 6 months.... Well she had her baby this week. Then there's me... Still here.

Can't even imagine actually having a baby! Like a faraway dream now...

9dpo and I cracked and tested on a cheapy internet strip negative of course. I know it’s early but I’m going to assume I’m not pregnant now as I only have a 12 day LP.

I don’t feel too bad for doing so as every time I buy a pack of 50 opks I get 20 hcg tests with it so I now have about 60 cheapy internet strip hcg tests! Just a poas addict now apparently

I'm really hoping it's just a bit early and a cheap test, it's not over until AF shows up!!

I'd really love to have a look at your faint lines, especially if it helps you out. Considering that's what brought me to the thread in the first place. Maybe just post "spoiler" then post the tests so people have a chance to scroll by if they want to?

Aww thanks Louk. I’m delighted to say (after taking a couple more tests) it was a positive! However with my first test, I was genuinely unsure if it was an indent (which I’d never heard of before until I googled faint line) I will post my first test so you ladies have an idea of how it looked. This was at 12dpo. It’s very early days and I hope it sticks. I used Femometer to track my periods/bd days/cm etc and used CB OPKs (purple ones) to track ovulation. My early symptom (10dpo) was quite a heavy cm which kind of gushed out (sorry TMI I know) but this is what led me to test early as it was so different. My test at 10dpo was negative but started showing positive at 12dpo and was undeniably dark at 14dpo. And another symptom was very slight twinges in my lower abdomen (but they were very slight, only in hindsight I’m thinking of them).

Personally I’d still go for it as I know I wouldn’t want the vaccine whilst pregnant. I held off for my first vaccine - originally got invited whilst pregnant but when I had my mc I booked straight in for my first. I had my second last week and I am glad I had it now. Ultimately it is your decision, do what you feel is best for you xx

I’ve rebooked for what will potentially be the first day of my next period. I just want to give us the best possible chance this cycle, then if it doesn’t happen, then I’ll be fully vaccined and can start trying again.

So I went to the shop earlier and it was so HOT in there I was sweating.

Got to the till and the girl was fanning herself, I said oh it’s really hot in here isn’t it and she replied, “yeah even worse for me because I’m 5 months pregnant.”

Honestly I think my face must have dropped… I thought to myself, well I should be too. I couldn’t even respond to her, just paid and went and sat in my car and had a cry. Ridiculous really, it’s obviously not the poor girl’s fault, it’s just the tiniest thing like that will set me off

I think the CB digital need more HCG so won’t show a positive as early as a FR (if it is the FR early response 6day early test). If the line on FR is pink I would think it’s probs a positive rather than indent but if you’re not sure maybe test again in the morning. It’s still early so it’s likely to be faint.

Thanks so much for replying! Been TTC for 8 months now without a sniff of a successful pregnancy. This is the first cycle where I’ve been testing early (usually wait for AF’s due date) The previous times I’ve tested I’ve used CB which are brutal when you see “not pregnant”. This is my first time using FR so I’m possibly just being hopeful it’s a faint line as it’s the closest I’ve ever been to a BFP. I’ll enjoy this moment regardless I guess, a step in the right direction hopefully.

Having so many bizarre symptoms that could be early pregnancy but I'm only on day 40 of my cycle and they range anywhere from 35-68 days so I figure I've realistically still got a month before I could even test (that's presuming AF doesn't arrive first of course). It's so frustrating having such erratic cycles, in theory I could literally be over 2 months pregnant before I even knew because of it lol.

Honestly I’m not a medical professional or anything so I can’t tell you anything scientific sorry; most of my friends had heavier/more painful period after each vaccine, one friend had their period early after the first dose but was regular after the second and then I hadn’t had a period in 6 months but spotted between the vaccines and came on a proper period a few days after the second dose.

Did anybody else find that their period was slightly different after the vaccine?

Yep. I’m normally as routine as anything but after first jab it was heavier, month inbetween it was late (that was hard negative because I’m never late so we had really got our hopes up) and then this month after vaccine it lasted a few days longer than normal so all over the place! Hoping now I’m fully vaxxed it will be back to normal next month

Edit -Not looking to start a vaccine pro or con here while TTC.. there are other threads for that. I’m pro choice. My grandad is very poorly so need to ensure I’m protecting him to see him. Please don’t come at me

Morning all- I’ve a quick question. Anyone putting off their covid vaccine while TTC? My age group is opening up this week but I don’t know if I should go ahead or I should wait. I know there are so many conflicting opinions & I don’t want to start a vaccine debate either but I’m on the fence.

Personally I have mine tomorrow and I’m going to get it. I have no idea how long it might take to conceive so I figure I may as well just get it done, I also read covid can be really serious when you’re pregnant so I figure I’d rather do it now.

I have had some reservations in terms of I’m getting vaccinated on my predicted ovulation day and guess I was worried that my body won’t be focussing on getting pregnant if it’s busy making antibodies etc but I am just trying to have faith that it can multi task

Ugh I think I’ve started properly spotting and cramping which means AF on the way tomorrow probs I’m only 10dpo so it’s earlier than last month. I really thought I was chilled this month and wouldn’t feel so sad but it’s hit me harder than I expected.

Period came yesterday so I'm cycle 19.
I strangely haven't even cried. Feel a bit numb. Not sure if that's better or worse.
I'm losing hope this will happen for me now, but when your waiting you can't help but still have a little bit inside you.

I wonder if I'll ever feel the joy of my period not coming and taking a test, and seeing two lines for the first ever time. Right now it feels like a far away dream.

Found out last week (on our wedding anniversary ) that the second cycle of Letrozole has failed. Now time to induce a AF and then start injections instead which I am not looking forward too! I have failed to ovulate with meds twice now so really not feeling optimistic I can't keep thinking if this doesn't work what are the options? Is it straight to IVF, which is no one wants to actually do.

It's just a lot, constantly! No relief whatsoever.

Does anyone else find it really hard to balance whether to tell your OH when you’re fertile or not? I try not to tell him because it puts too much pressure on him to perform and he can experience ED at times anyway, but this morning he was asking for me to go down on him and I had to try and subtly/sexily decline

So I got my flashing smiley today & husband has woke up with covid symptoms & needs a test. he feels terrible so that’s prob me out for this month unless he has a miraculous negative recovery. I can’t even have sympathy for the poor fella I’m irrationally annoyed at him!!

My partner was ill in hospital during my fertile window this month, as soon as I knew he was okay I had no sympathy either

Does anyone else feel really disconnected during your period all the way up to ovulation? Like as if you’re just in a blur waiting around. Then ovulation happens and you do all that you can do, and then fade back into the blur waiting for the 2ww to end.
