It's funny how that happens. When a bad feeling or energy overwhelms you. It's happened to me twice. The first time I mentioned at the beginning of this thread (I think) and the second was when i was moving house. I went into on property and as I walked into the hallway I was thinking ' nope, nope, nope' . Couldn't explain it. It was a very ordinary house and not in disrepair or anything. I just wanted out.

I often can feel ‘energies’ in buildings. I very rarely see an apparition (twice in my lifetime so far) but get overwhelming ‘feelings’ of who the person is. It’s hard to explain, it’s not like they speak to me, I just know the information in my head (I suppose it’s like when you get a ‘feeling’ that your being watched, the information is just there)
Currently I work in a clinic where there is a ‘male’ who inhabits the Clinic managers office. I can feel his ‘energy’ to the left of me as I walk in the door. He’s very protective of the manager almost like he’s in love with her and when she’s not in, the space to the left ‘feels’ sad, as if he’s missing her.

2nd account of paranormal activity:

told to me by family friend who has family in Asia- this incident occurred 8/9months ago. An elderly farmer, his 30 yo son, and his nephew travelled to a small clearing not far from their home to gather some firewood from the outskirts of a sparse forest.
it was at dusk, (and bear in mind this is a village in Asia, women do not often travel alone or unaccompanied after dark.)
After gathering some wood and tying it up, the elderly man heard a familiar female voice coming from inside the woods, addressing him by name, asking for help. The man told his son who heard it too and they went inside the woods to investigate. The voice called out again, from even deeper within the woods, and the elderly man stopped in his tracks, and instructed the boys to turn back immediately and to not look back or take heed of this voice. As they were slowly backing away, the voice calling them become closer, and as they all turned to run out of the woods the voice sounded from immediately behind the old man addressing him by name again “WHY ARENT YOU HELPING ME”, the old man, reciting prayers and religious texts, managed to make it out of the woods into the clearing. The voice was heard saying “you got away from me this time, but you won’t next time”
All 3 men managed to make it home, obviously very confused & frightened, and the following morning a few villagers went back into the woods to investigate incase there had been a woman in distress there. Nothing was found.

What do they think it could be ? Are there any legends of this sort of thing in the village ?

It’s quite common in suburban and sparsely populated areas.**
These voices are attributed to the churail or ‘witches’ (albeit not the hocus pocus type associated with western society) they are normally demonic entities who posses people and drive them to madness. They have alluring voices and faces and it’s said if you ever encounter one to turn to the opposite direction, reading prayers for protection completely ignoring their calls.

** that being said, my uncle who lives in east London saw a churail in a river behind his local Tesco after driving home from his night shift 25 years ago. The Tesco was located behind an industrial site with a small one way bridge which allows one car to pass over it at a time. He said he saw a flash of light from the river and he got out of the car and saw the figure of a woman walking on the water beneath him. Naturally he almost shat himself, drove home at the speed of sound to bang on my parents door to tell them about it. His account Was actually printed in the local paper.

I've never heard of Churel before. I love hearing of other cultures superstitions and myths.

I recently enjoyed tv programme The Terror :Infamy which was based around Obake.

It probably all comes from my Irish mother telling me about the Banshee.

Back in the early 90's, through work, I had to go to Friern Hospital in Colney Hatch, London. It was a an old Victorian Asylum and had previously been known as Conley hatch Lunatic Asylum. I went there a few times when it was operation and I always found it a creepy place. It has the longest corridor in Europe.

Anyway, the place closed in 1993 and stood empty awaiting development. I was called there because there was some structural issues and I was to meet a colleague there and the security man. It was one of those early winters evening at about 4.30 so getting dark. I got there and couldn't see anyone but the main door was open. I went inside and started walking through looking for the security guy. I walked through a couple of corridors and past some offices .I didn't get very far when I was just so overcome with an urge to get out that I literally ran back outside. A really weird sense of forbodding came over me. I didn't see anything but It was just so creeped out I literally ran back to my car. It just felt very dark inside there.

The main building is still there and it was turned into luxury apartments that had various celebs live in them from time to time but I would never in a million years have bought one. the residual energy in that building must be off the scale.

It’s my last night in my house tonight been watching tv upstairs volume not too high, I’m on my own & I’ve just heard a coin drop on the laminate flooring downstairs, very weird.

I woke up very early yesterday and my house was making all kinds of noises. It’s an old house and sometimes it does that. We had a dog sitter while we were away last month who after one night had her sister come to stay due to the noises.

Not 100% sure if this is the right thread for this but I figured I may find some like minded people who have more knowledge than me…

We went to view a house today and they let me film it so I could show my partner as he was working. When we’ve watched the video back the bedroom door (carpeted room) closes on its own whilst I’m inside the room. (Also no windows etc open)

I messaged one of my friends who’s mum is quite spiritual and she said it may be trying to close me in because it likes me and wants me to stay?!

Am I right to be slightly terrified …

Not a very good ghost story. But me and a friend visited a very old prison… she’s not one to believe in ghosts ect, really quite calm and sensible. Walking round we went to walk into one of the cell blocks I entered first and as she walked through the doors she just said I can’t go in there….she was utterly convinced something was stopping her walking in there. She got really quite stressed and had to leave. She said there was just a presence stopping her entering.
We later found it had happened to other women before…. The cell block houses a lady convicted of murdering women she got jealous of around her husband.

I canny mind if I've told this here before so forgive me if tis a repeat!

I was at the Tenement Museum in New York and really enjoying the tour and accompanying video and guide. Suddenly, I felt this rush through my head. It was like my head was filled with thoughts and visions and memories, but it probably only lasted a few seconds. I then felt completely weak, like all my energy had be drained. This had not happened to me before (though I've had a few other strong feelings about places). I asked the guide if this had happened before and she was like well, you're not the first person to have mentioned it - but she didn't confirm either way.

I have no fear off heights or enclosed spaces, but I completely freaked out in there, ending up having something akin to a panic attack and rushing back down the stairs, screaming at an American tourist who was refusing to get out of my way.

It could just be a loose door. It seems silly is discount it over something so small.
