Instead of jumpers, Tom would be better knitting an exit plan from the vile Lance.
Marriage means different things to different people, I guess. It wouldn’t be my cup of tea by any means, but each to their own.Why get married then
They all spent last Christmas over in LA as there were pics of Debbie, Will et al and Ben and fiancee at Disneyland together, but yes I would be interested to know what his brothers in particular really think of Lance.TBH I still don't think Tom has a clue who he is or what he wants outside of his career. He got with Lance while he was still a teenager and grieving his Dad. I imagine he was probably quite sexually inexperienced as his whole life up to that point had been about training and his commitment to his career. Lance was much older and introduced him to his weird Hollywood life.
Of course there are loads of couples who opt to be in open relationships and that's absolutely their business, but there is something really seedy and dark about the circles that Lance has./had mixed in
It's also doesn't gel with the devoted, hands-on dad of two/ children's author/ knitter thing Tom has going on.
It's all very confused.
Tom is an arrogant little twit but I feel that he was groomed by the odious Lance.
I wonder what his family really think of their relationship?
I think Lance may have seen his opportunity and taken it. Agreeing to an open relationship is probably his way of keeping Tom around.I agree that Tom never had a chance to know himself outside his very intense career, a very intense first love affair, engaged at 21, married at 22 a Dad by 24. He did everything so ridiculously young. I don’t personally think Lance groomed him in any dark, weird way but ultimately, as a 39 years old, he was looking for marriage & babies & Tom just got swept up in that. In that sense, I’m glad for Tom the nature of their relationship has at least allowed him to live a bit.
I find how much Toms mum seems to live with them kinda weird. There’s been times when I think she’s appeared to spend far more time with Lance than Tom has. Can Lance not manage the kids on his own?! They are constantly out at events & travelling even when Toms not competing/training. I’ve long commented that they don’t remotely live the lives of regular parents!
I once heard Dustbin say, the moment he saw Tom for the 1st time, he knew he was in trouble, which made my skin crawl. He is creepy. If Tom was female and they were married with the 20 year age gap, imagine the headlines… It’s always felt very groomy to me!
In his interview this morning, he gave full credit to Lance for stepping up for the kids and allowing him to focus on his training. No mention of his Mum at all, which I thought was quite a slap in the face for her. I’d have been fuming in her position.I find how much Toms mum seems to live with them kinda weird. I thought the same. I assume she does it willingly because the alternative is her grandchildren being brought up by nannies. There's no way two adults following high profile careers by day and swinging by night have much time to spend with tiny children. And as for Tom's hobby being knitting, something which keeps both hands occupied for hours is not a hobby you're doing whilst meeting the needs of young children. It's so fake.In his interview this morning, he gave full credit to Lance for stepping up for the kids and allowing him to focus on his training. Hard to believe he tops, isn’t it?! He looks so much like a middle aged woman. Mother in law vibesLance looks like a female American tv host or actress, can't put my finger on who though.
Phoenix "Rose" is ridiculous

My aunt married a man about 11 years older than her. She was early 20s (but it was the 1970s). My grandad at the time said 'he will take her away from us' and sure enough the first thing my uncle did was move her away from all her family. My sister has been in a relationship with a much older man for about ten years now. He's also wealthy and I've watched over the years as he's subtly gaslit her and moulded her to his liking. It's now at the point where you ask her what she thinks of something and she replies "Well Steve thinks..."
They're an oddly sexless couple. I don't look at them and think 'wow, they must have some serious hot times together'Hard to believe he tops, isn’t it?! He looks so much like a middle aged woman. Mother in law vibes![]()
I have no doubt that she does it willingly - I imagine she dotes on those boys and loves spending time with them. But it can’t be nice when her son gives total credit to his husband, when she’s flying thousands of miles and giving up huge chunks of her life to care for the children and, essentially, help to raise them. Just a small mention of her and how lucky they are to have her, would have been nice (IMO, of course!)I assume she does it willingly because the alternative is her grandchildren being brought up by nannies. Definitely not.In fact (and I'm probably in minority) I don't think Tom on his own is sexy either. I can see people thinking he is cute, but not sexy.

I don't think there is anything wrong with age gaps in theory, but it's making sure its equal

Yeah I agree with all of that.Lance strikes me as the sort of person that would like to handpick who Tom sleeps with and would just enjoy watching rather than partaking.
Lots of rumours of Tom sleeping around but not so much with Lance.
Lots stories of him attending parties hosted by Bryan Singer though......
