This is when she started getting on my nerves months ago. She went to see a doctor at the hospital about her blisters under the Tumor Too Big? *Cancer* video in May, and she came out bitching and complaining about him ruining her day bc he told her the tumor might be too big to operate. She said "I came for my blisters not about anything else". However, she goes onto say say "I mentioned I was scared about the surgery". So SHE brought it up to him first, but then she gets in the car and trashes him for talking about her cancer/tumor when she was only there for blisters.

the surgeon and under the Results *cancer* video when she went with her mom for her scan results after chemo & radiation, we heard the doctor tell her it's a substantial tumor.

Okay, so when a biopsy is done it's to check the margins before a big Tumor Surgery is done. What the Surgeon took was cancer free. If the margins are Cancer Free, then that means he can remove the Tumor and still have healthy tissues left behind. Now, the confusing part for me is that if the margins are clear, then why can't he remove the tumor. Let's say that the Tumor is Completely Cancer-free, then the Tumor would still need to come out, so the fact that they are watching and waiting is still baffling. The Tumor won't go away on it's own. Benign Tumors also have a blood supply, so the bleeding could be coming from that, if it's Benign, but either way, it has to come out. IF it's Benign, then it'll still be a big Surgery, and we all know that Tiffany is not Mentally stable enough to handle a big surgery. Now, if she would listen to her Doctor and get the Mental Health help that the Doctor asked her to get, then this Surgery can be done, and she can begin to heal.
All of this is speculation based on very little facts, as you all know; but it's the only sense that I can come to at this time.

Likely the stakes are high either way, surgery or no surgery.

True. She cant live the rest of her life with the tumor inside of her. It's not going to shrivel up and fall out like a cold sore. It will suck up all the nutrients and blood until it gets stronger and come back again.

I think that moment really revealed her true colours. She is not as sweet as people seem to think. And the amount of abuse that doctor then received in the comments ...
She told us that that doctor told her that the tumour was T4b. She said 'I thought I was stage 3! What is T4b??' And then she went on with something like: 'He doesn't even know me, he thought Amma was the patient. And he said there might be no surgery because of the size and stage of my tumour. But he was basing that on the old scans so I will just ignore these news as my treatment (I think she only had chemo done at that point) may have shrunk the tumour'.
And then in the next vlog, it was revealed that what that particular doctor was telling her was absolutely correct.

Yes, I remember that video about the other doctor as well, and her being angry that he gave her information when she wasn’t looking for it. I remember feeling annoyed on the doctor’s behalf because it’s his job to talk about the main issue if he has information about it even from a manual exam. Even if you go in for a skin condition or whatever the small thing the appt was for, of course the doctor is going to talk about the tumor if they have something to say. She presented it as if he said this just to ruin her day or ruin her spirit, but he was telling her what he’s required to tell her, particularly if she brings up the surgery as a definite. It would be against his oath to go along with her narrative if it doesn’t make sense. If there’s any doubt that her surgery might not happen, he has to tell her that.

At this point in her journey she should be able to accept this amount of reality but she can’t so that’s why I think she’s totally out of her mind since the beginning. It really is like trying to tell a child and them having a tantrum. If she’s genuinely this developmentally stunted then I feel terrible for her incapacity to get it. On the other hand she can do a fairly difficult job and thinks like an adult in other ways. She really comes off as emotionally immature to the extent where its debilitating, even if she has done book smarts. I also think she does play dumb on top of this naturally which rubs people the wrong way.

I think it’s part of the reason she’s so controversial as someone with deadly cancer. Most people even online would bite their tongue unless something is really off. We’re not used to seeing someone with cancer have no common sense and play YouTube games with their own life. It’s exhibitionism of illness without matching knowledge, giving it that “entertainment” vibe that cancer really shouldn’t have.

So the fact that the margins were clear does not change anything in terms of the type of the operation? She would still need total pelvic exenteration?

You know, some commenters were saying that the surgeon could go in laparoscopically and check everything first. Some were saying that she should opt to have the surgery right now and she should not worry about losing all those organs cause as the results showed no cancer, the doctor would only remove the 'cancerous areas'.

You know, the severity of this situation seems so incompatible to her attitude and behaviour. I cannot wrap my head around her lightness, her acting like everything is okay, her still eating junk food, shopping, doing holiday vlogmas, etc. If it were me, I'd be fighting for my life with everything I had. I'd be drinking Amma's healthy drinks, then making another one myself for dinner too.

I could feel my jaw tighten early on with her talk about life going back to normal or even her boomerang dance she spoke about so often that she'd do at the end of this or finishing chemo and Baxter "forever". Cancer is just not such a cut and dried medical experience, it is drawn out and messy with a lot of grey areas. It can have lots of do overs. Her situation of having a Stage 3, t4b tumour unresponsive to chemo as well as some potentially questionable areas of possible metastases in her lungs and on her liver is a dire crisis. There is no "chemo gone forever" at this point.

Yes, a very clear recap of your understanding, thank you!

Agree with everything.
When she was giving Baxter a forever goodbye ... And everyone around her going along with her antics.
She was saying 'no more chemo'.

Yes. It wouldn’t change anything... it would just allow them to move forward.

Likely the stakes are high either way, surgery or no surgery.
If she’s stage four, then you’re right that it might not be worth it since her prognosis might be the same. If she’s stage III, having the surgery gives her a chance at living, and not having it ensures that she won’t survive. It’s really fucking sad either way.

It's so scary to realise that she declined the surgery at a moment when she was best prepared for it physically. It could be successful and she could have a chance. Perhaps there will be no other opportunity to have it (if it spread).
She used to be pushing for the surgery just months ago and she would get annoyed that she wasn't getting the surgery date.

Around 10 days ago a group of oncology nurses and resident physicians from the Cleveland Clinic sent Tiff their professional opinion of her diagnosis along with their concern for her survival. I wonder if she read their comments ... and if she promptly branded them as one of the negative Nellies and blocked them.

What do you make of the scans not lighting up and the colonoscopy also showing clean?

I just think it is strange that Tiffany wasn’t told that everything may be clean. The way she presented the situation, it seemed that the only possible outcome of those scans was to determine if and when they can operate, and what their plan for surgery was. I thought that the chemotherapy she took while waiting was only to keep the cancer from spreading, not to cure it. It seems weird to me that the doctors wouldn’t have said that it was possible that all the cancer would go away. It came across to me that it was a big surprise that the scans and colonoscopy were clean. I’m really baffled! I just re-watched the video, “Cancer Results-Emotional” where they told her the tumor was substantial and was T4B. They hadn’t even decided whether she should get more chemotherapy at that point. Tiffany and Amma were crying, because Tiffany wanted a date for surgery. I don’t know what to make of this whole situation.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm new and loving this forum coz we get to exchange opinions!! Sorry, I missed the video with her surgeon telling her abt the T4B mass, so it was my misjudgement to say that her cancer was not so bad. Oops! I just rewatched the video on May 16, 200 titled ‘cancer results "emotional".’ You're right. The doctors confirmed that the T4B tumour hadn't shrunk after the chemo and radiotherapy. However, it does seem strange now that is isn’t showing in recent scans. The surgeon has advised her to wait and see while the oncologist doesn't seem to be in a hurry to see her nor advise her to have the surgery asap. Am curious. What happened to the medical team that they were assembling for her surgery? So, basing on the biopsy findings and scan results, do the doctors think that she should just wait and see now? Isn’t that too risky? If nothing has changed, surely she is a walking time bomb?

I think her medical team is doing the right stuff she’s just not conveying it or it’s going through some denial washing machine before it gets to us. She’s saying they wanted to wait but if she is stage three I don’t know if I believe that. If she’s stage four, then I might believe her when she says they want to wait, but she’s not saying it’s stage four. I’m going from what I know about colorectal cancer as someone in remission, what the surgeon said about her surgery, and the implications of chemo/radiation not reducing the tumor.

In terms of her scans, we know the tumor is still there so “clear” probably means it hasn’t spread although the tumor remains unchanged. It has to come out or will metastasize and become inoperable again. Even without metastasizing, her tumor is already so invasive that waiting at all doesn’t fly with a stage three status. She also mentioned mucin, which means she could have a
MAC, and it doesn’t show well on PET scans. There’s so much that’s being left out but we DO know she didn’t have the T4B tumor removed, so it is practically a ticking time bomb.

If I had to guess, I would say the surgeon and the team were originally going to try surgery to give Tiffany a good chance of curative treatment but it’s possible they now believe it won’t have the intended effect, and she’ll become stage four either way. I think what surprised him is the mucin in the biopsies and if it’s MAC, it’s a completely different beast than what he was prepared for. it would also explain why she didn’t respond to chemotherapy and radiotherapy very well.

If he truly wants to wait I would suspect it’s something related to this, but if he didn’t want to wait and she’s just saying he did, then she might’ve passed her only opportunity for surgery. Her surgeon is incredible so I don’t think he would suggest waiting if urgent surgery would save her life. Sadly, I think it’s about quality not quantity, and that’s reflected in Tiffany repeating those words as well as the mental health referrals.

She would often start to talk about the cancer and then almost immediately brush it aside saying "I don't want to think/talk about it". I believe she may have heard bad news along the lines of terminal/palliative care....but she believes her prayers and manifestation wishes will save her and she is secretly convinced her "cure" will be achieved this Christmas, which explains her early fixation on Xmas. She is so convinced that there will be a miracle that she's talking about driving again and going back to work etc. I of course, like everyone else here wish her the best in terms of health and recovery...but I am really scared for her and her family especially the dear mom.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I believe Tiffany is "pink-clouding" but about cancer recovery that's not real. In her head, I do believe she's deluded herself into thinking she can only improve, despite evidence to the contrary. Her reference (mentioned above) to quality over quantity may be a subconscious realisation, but it's never been actualised; hence the "miracle" talk and "manifestation" healing. It's frightening to watch. I hate everything about this story.

The fact that she called her pump Baxter drove me insane. Constantly showing the balloon getting smaller

Thanks. You’ve explained it pretty well. She has mentioned several times lately though that she could be cancer free. Not sure why the recommended 6 weeks of waiting to repeat scans and biopsies without treatment. Are the doctors thinking that it’s best for her to enjoy these 6 weeks, rather than having the risky surgery which might not help her anyways? Wow. This is getting scary. And she’s still on cloud 9 thinking of doing vlogmas etc. It would take a HUGE miracle for her to get out of this, judging by what we know the doctors have said. The surgeon did say that he would treat her as if she’s his sister. I think he did give her the best option to wait and hope for a miracle.
