It's always a massive plus to have doctors or nurses in the family but imagine having a world-renowned colorectal specialist.I didn't criticize UK health system and the whole hospital where she is treated. It is the opposite. In my opinion UK has one of the best health care in the world and every one can be treated free. Where I live the health care is hundred times worse than yours. I just only reacted to the post that doesn't want be the surgeon's sister. I don't think someone from here wants to be his sister.

I've been following Tif from last fall. I've been diagnosed with an another type of cancer at the beggining of this year, and actually her bubbly attitude made me feel good. I even once commented on YT and mentioned that, but the comment dissapered which I didn't think much of.
I actually didn't want to read anything but official papers about my cancer at first, but shortly joined a big FB support page in my country just to read about details about my two surgeries, how to prepare and what might help me. Didn't want to watch or follow anyone with similar diagnosis gor the first couple of months, so I get that with Tif...
That being said, it's been more than a year! She ought to get through that phase and fully educate herself on the disease. That started making me so angry that I finally landed on Tattle and found relief.

Not even this very invasive surgery with risks is a cure promised. The goal is live longer but the word ‘ cure’ cannot be proclaimed in such advanced and big local cancers with node involvment.I can’t help but think of Monique - a young woman who had this surgery yet died as you described not long after the operation. I went back and verified for myself (trust by verify) and it is true. I think it tells us alot about Tiffany..heck she was also taken by a Doc. that gave her butt injections of vitamins long before this cancer journey...he "touched my hair". I mean we have to try to step inside a young girl that is very very immature. Some of us are so beyond that it is not easy.If that’s the case she’s even more of an unhinged basket case than I thought
Are you 100% sure you would accept death instead of going through that …? If you were a patient of my psychiatrist friend she would tell you that you cannot know in advance what you will be able to handle … So before choosing death and be definitely sure (in Switzerland maybe) you should first go through surgery then spend at least one full year to get used to your stomas, have appointments and medications with a psychiatrist and THEN you would be able to fully decide if you think death is still your best option … 41 is still pretty young.TPE surgery is horrific hey. And this is coming from a nurse who used to work in the operating theatres. I’m fine with the gory aspects of surgery (I even enjoy it - it’s fascinating).
But TPE is not an op I ever got the opportunity to scrub up for and damn, it’s next level. I’ve just been watching videos and looking at before/after/during surgery pics for over an hour. Holy crap it is FULL ON.
I’m 41 and single and I personally would turn down TPE surgery and would accept my death instead of going through that.
I know a lot of people won’t agree with me on that, for various reasons. And fair enough… each to his/her own.
Poor Tiff. Her immaturity, vagueness, denial, toxic positivity and lack of clarity may shit me to tears, but I wouldn’t wish that situation/surgery on my worst enemy. I hate that she (and anybody else) are ever placed in that situation.

Ionia...exactly ...I think this surgery will be life extending (with major compromises) but I am sure they are not giving her the prognosis that Matt wants...ie "just take it out" get get on with it. Having recently in the last two years recovered from a major surgery you are never the same and mine was routine and curative (hopefully you always have to go for follow up for years). I am sure the docs even Dr. Magic are being honest with her. I think they have two concerns...general health and body readiness for surgery and mentally understanding the outcome even if 100% successful surgery. 100% success in Tiff's case is still pretty rough.Not even this very invasive surgery with risks is a cure promised. Yeah I thought it was understood that this surgery is to prolong her life - it’s not the cure the cancer. Yes, Monique had HIPEC surgery the mother of all surgeries including PE. I know that from Insta. The most unfortunate thing she was going to her GP with bowel problems for years but was dismissed every time. Such a beautiful young girl it is really unfortunate.
