I wonder how long he would have had had he came forward admitted his guilt and showed remorse and apologised to Olivia’s family

I can promise you those impact statements will mean nothing to him. He may be a dad on paper but, when you're involved in that "life", you're not a real parent - you're not present, you're not nurturing them, you're not setting a good example, you're not bringing them up right. You are rum.
Cheryl Korbel is right - he didn't care that night. I would add that he doesn't care full stop. Let's be brutal - to him, Olivia is just kid who got in the way and has now cost him forty two years of his life. Nothing more.

I’ve only just found this thread & will read them in hindsight. 42yrs well done to that judge. She’s giving him a whole life sentence in the only legal way she could! RIP Olivia 🤍
Depends how early he pled guilty - it can be up to a third off but, the later you leave it, the less effect it has. So, for example, if he'd pled guilty on the first day of his trial (happens more than you think) it's very unlikely he's have received any credit for it at all.

Thinking of the police officer who carried Olivia out the house and held her on the way to the hospital, the affect it must of had on him as well.
It doesn't sound like they were particularly significant - my guess would probably be robbery, burglary, low level drug offences going back to his teens.
We'll never know, but he never would have done that anyway as he was never going to admit anything and put the spotlight on those who hired him to go after Nee, i wonder how long that loyalty will last now he's facing a 42 stretch!
That ex that gave evidence her whole life will now be changed,no family etc,move away assumed name etc,it’s like that girlfriend of the murdered guy by Kenneth Noye she is in witness protection rest of her life.

Yep - I’ve just said the same thing to my husband. My 2 toddler grandchildren will be in their late middle-age by this scumbag surfaces.I will be kicking up the daisy’s before this bleep see’s the outside world again.
If he resurfaces, remember there's probably going to be be other cases against him and he's already got a £250,000 bounty on his head which most lifers wouldn't hesitate to carry out.
