I just want to back up the Tattler who said their parents didn't get up on their 1st day of secondary as it was relatively the norm back in th 80s!The back to school photos with the child walking through the door, while there toys wave good bye.
Back to school poems, or first day poems. My eldest starts this week and I know I will be a bit emotional but the expectation seems to be I should be sobbing on my knees outside the school gate.
Also j get that you would be emotional, but why should anyone else care? A colleague showed me a photo of her child (who I have never met) outside her front door, I had no idea what inwS supposed to comment. Needless to say I didn't ask to see itThe back to school photos with the child walking through the door, while there toys wave good bye.

I have a feeling the weather affected sunflowers this year - pretty sure you would have seen it if you could haveI haven’t seen any pumpkin patch pictures yet but I give it 2 weeks.
I didn’t see many sunflower field uploads over the summer either so perhaps these gormless instatrends will finally die out.
I think this is going to become more common:'Influencers' that are so obviously boasting about EVERYTHING in every single one of the upwards of 20 stories they post a day e.g. a timestamped photo at 5:30 in the morning in bed as if to say ha ha you lazy peasants, I'm up earlier than you, a list of their to dos for the day to make it seem like they're really busy (which is usually LESS than the average person does in a day), a 'casual' photo of their meal at a fancy restaurant with a bottle of wine that you know cost hundreds in the background, look at meeee I'm on a boat on the Amalfi Coast. They all do it and are such raging narcissists but their followers seem to lap it up?! I hate this fucking 'culture' that social media has created and the obvious attempts to big themselves up and validate themselves while wanting to make others feel like shit. Makes me feel like this https://giphy.com/AbPWwqSgMejM4
