Takes a long time to get that comfortable. Was at least going on since winter 2021. Maybe even before. And finn was only born in 2020.
yes, absolutely!! I wonder if that DeuxMoi timeline is true after all, sooooometiiiiimeeesss they report something that turns out to be true.

It's just gross that he went out to lunch, dinner, hotel rooms whatnot and then returns home and holds his kids. Yikes.

I thought the whole podcast was pretty fascinating and they were very dignified.

Super interesting when they were talking about him being sneaky with the font on their announcements. For some reason I thought he’d gone with grace in light of his behaviour, but increasingly I actually think he might have put up a bit of a fight and it may have been pretty acrimonious. When they kept talking about avoiding being sued I thought they meant by Alex, but I actually think they might be talking about legal threats from Ned for defamation etc…

It’s refreshing to see males talking about an emotional impact of a life event and how they navigated their way around it. Usually it’s rarely spoken about. Also one thing that struck me was when Zach said “the allegations against Ned”
🤔

Just into the first half hour of the podcast, is Eugene usually not on it? (never listened before)

Later in the pod they say that Eugene's not always on the episodes, because it's not something he really enjoys doing in general.

I think this is another way to protect themselves from being sued. I’ve listened to the episode and I agree, it sounds like Ned tried to get litigious and that might have been an additional factor to them feeling betrayed.

Yup there's definitely more to the story than we're getting. Which is fine and not surprising.

the fonts are similar for sure but ned's just looks like the iphone notes app? it was obviously a statement in response to theirs although the words themselves will have been prepared on advance, just not the format. but grey text / aligned to the left rather than centre is just standard notes app no?

I’m not sure, I’m not a graphic designer and looking and some other forums people think otherwise. I thought the same as you, though, that they were just screeenshotted notes.

Having said that, I think it speaks volumes that the boys assumption was that Ned was being sly or contrived with it. That’s clearly what they expect from him now.

Yeh exactly, I got the impression that they weren't surprised at him cheating as such but at it being with an employee which obviously becomes a whole different issue. Made me think he is probably just a massive sleaze

Yeah clearly there was some resentment in the video, and I’m sure Ned tried to be clever and maybe sue them for unfair dismissal or something. here’s my take:
- Ned probably thought he could temporarily step back from the Try Guys as he tries to salvage his marriage and come back once the shitstorm has blown over
- the rest of the guys weren’t having it and decided to cut ties fully
- Ned resorted to legal action
- maybe the internal review bought to light some more unsavoury behaviour from Ned and maybe more ppl involved?
- Alex is spoken about with great empathy from the guys, “imagine having ur greatest duck up broadcasted to the world” “death threats”
- Ned may have considered suing them for defamation as there’s a lot of legal restrictions which the guys constantly highlight.
It seems to me It’s not a simple case of someone shagging in the office. There’s a lot of complexity surrounding it and it definitely does not look like Ned went down quietly.

Yeah the main takeaway from the podcast is that the boys clearly think Ned is malicious with his actions and was unwilling to do the right thing, which is crazy considering how close they all were not even a few months ago. Them thinking he copied the text without running anything past them like they did for him and that they think he copied it purposely to appear "aligned" with them shows their relationship is not salvagable regardless of it Ned did it accidentally or not.

I do actually think if he was genuinely apologetic and remorseful they may have been able to keep some sort of civil personal relationship, especially IF Ariel decides to continue their marriage. However, his behaviour showed them that he wasn't who they thought/he wasn't loyal to them or their company and therefore they cannot continue any form of personal relationship. Such a shame, feel like Ned is really going to regret this. Making such close adult friendships is so difficult I feel so sad he didn't value them enough and behaved this way.

No way that Ariel will be able to return to her podcast, even if she decides to leave Ned, especially if the fallout with the Try guys has been this messy?

I get the sense that they feel more betrayed because of the business side of things

It makes sense given that their friendship is the core of their business but it does also make me question their friendship 🤷‍♀️

RE Alex: I have seen some say that she won't be fired for legal reasons but that she's likely expected to start finding a new place to work and will probably sign an NDA when she leaves

If my friend of 8+ years put his fool getting wet before the company, friendships, his own family, the employees and has potentially ruined the guys personal projects, I wouldn’t be friends or work with him either

Can’t remember if I read it on here or somewhere else but YB had some strong words about her ‘not being friends with either party involved’ and she’s angry about her content being deleted, she’s also disassociated with the try guys on her insta handle. No way Alex would continue to work there. She might get a settlement to stay quiet and probably go back to buzzfeed lol

Even if she is not sacked imagine working there and everyone just gossiping about you behind your back all the time. The atmosphere must be awfull, not to mention everyone being angry at all of the brand deals and money the channel has lost
