I've gotten so used to them running every mundane errand together since she can't drive/think/function on her own, that it only just now occurred to me how weird it must have been for the eye doctor to have both of them at her exam while one films and oohs and aahs. In my neck of the woods before the pandemic and during it, if you're an adult with an appointment, you're the only one who goes back to see the doctor when they call you and some places, the waiting room is still for patients only (heck, even with my vet, you still need to call first to let them know you're there, then if you have an appointment, one person comes in with your pet to be seen and/or be in the waiting room, otherwise hang out in the car). No need for multiple adults to come inside unless one adult is a dependent who has a caretaker or has legit needs around needing another adult to accompany them. Those exam rooms aren't exactly huge either. I get that they went to a lenscrafters instead of an actual physicians office, so that changes things up (I still think it's weird that they're in their late 30s almost 40 and don't have regular established doctors considering they've lived in the same area for basically their whole lives, but it also goes along with the weirdness to me of considering health insurance as optional) but still weird to have Dim there with her to even film her scan being talked about.
Wonder if Ginn tried to be in the room while Dim was getting his hernias checked out (and is that all he went to the doctor for anyway? I'm not convinced he had a full physical exam which he could use - these two both could use some bloodwork and labs run on them).

Sounds like they stumbled across one of those eye surgeons who's full of himself, and there are many. I had one who yelled at me for coming to get my eyes checked after I refused Lasik surgery. (I wear a very weak prescription, and eyes change reducing nearsightedness to farsighted in our 50s... I was smart not to get it.)

Tim would need to visit someone beyond a chain store optometrist for his eye issue. I’m visually impaired myself (blind in one eye); I see an optometrist like anyone else for glasses/contacts. But I have an ophthalmologist and retinal specialist for everything else.

When she’s there he’s outside playing with developmentally appropriate sensory activities (the tote of water with boats and such). When she’s gone…he’s sat at the table in front of the iPad. Again. I bet the nanny even lets him feed himself!

I agree the nanny is the best thing for J. But there is no way I won't give them tit over paying a salary to a full-time nanny to watch J so they can visit theme parks and malls as a giddy childless couple. Is it best for J because they suck? Yes.

We had one like that, more concerned with getting LASIK business than with the health of our eyes.
We did Purple Carrot (as well as trying Hello Fresh, Marley Spoon, Sun Basket, Dinnerly, etc.) during the pandemic. Hands down, we had the LEAST issues with Purple Carrot. It was friggin awesome if you wanted to eat clean, vegan meals. Expensive as hell (but I got us deals) but awesome. I think out of the many many meals we tried, we probably didn't like one. They were that remarkably tasty.
Either they have the absolute worst luck w/ these boxes - and yes, why keep getting them OR they don't cook the food in a timely manner so the perishables just sit there...perishing... while they're eating out all the time. I'm thinking it's the latter. Totally.
(Edited to add: I'll also add that the veggies and stuff we got from them were the nicest, freshest of any of the other boxes we tried...so again, it's them, not Purple Carrot)

I would be willing to bet the nanny won’t last very long, and it will all have to do with Jenn’s ego. She will get so upset that J$ will be advancing with Lynn’s help, that she will lose her spot as mom of the universe in the eyes of the stans. My other prediction would be that Lynn will grow tired of Tim and Jenn micromanaging her, since they are experts at everything. She will also find it hard to be cooped up in that filthy house.
I hope the kid really gets a lot of benefit from this arrangement while it’s in place, but I still think it’s so stupid these two worthless pieces of tit are so lazy they won’t find time to parent their child.
I’m still going to give them tit for the nanny. They are two bleeping adults with ZERO real jobs and they needed a nanny to take care of ONE perfectly healthy child.

Absolutely spot on. Absolutely ZERO need for them to have a nanny.
There is no reason why Jenn can't step it up and be a MOTHER to her own MIRACLE CHILD and do all the things the nanny is doing / supposedly doing for her child. And Tim goes out and films - without her.
Jenn is not special that she can't care for one, MIRACLE child who - to their benefit - seems incredibly easygoing with a good temperament.
